Chereads / Me and God of Wibu / Chapter 43 - The weight of D

Chapter 43 - The weight of D

"So they are your friend, right," Yamato asked a blue-haired girl.

"What you are so heartless to us, Miss Wednesday." Babe, Drophy, Zala, and Mr. 2 all exclaimed in anger. They were beaten by Yamato badly without any chance and they were begging Yamato for forgiveness.

"Silently. I am the one who is talking here. So who are you again." Yamato pointed the sword at Vivi.

Vivi approached the sword tip without fear and hesitation.

Yamato, without hesitation, beat Vivi with the blunt side of the sword.

"What makes you think that I won't hit you?" Yamato said while rummaging through her memory.

Only after looking at Vivi's blue hair, Yamato realized Vivi was a princess of Alabasta.

Despite knowing her identity, Yamato decided to pretend that she didn't know her.

"Nice try. You almost fooled me with your acting skills." Yamato nodded her head.

"But if you were a princess, why you are working at an enemy organization, to begin with?" Her words were sharper than the sword aiming at Vivi.

"That is because I want to save the country by infiltrating in their organization."

"Miss Wednesday." Learning the true identity of Vivi, Vivi's former comrades had mixed feelings.

"Hmm. Sounds like you make things up." Yamato retorted.

"Here is the illogical thing in your make-up story. If you are truly a princess working in an enemy organization then why they don't recognize you for all those years." Yamato threw a sharp question to Vivi. "Unless they are too blind to recognize you"

No matter what you think, Princess is a famous person.

There was no way they had been working together for many years and they didn't recognize Vivi's face.

"Crocodile is a cunning person. There is no way he would let the princess of Alabasta walk around freely. So how can you answer it?"

"That is because I changed my appearance." Vivi stood back with a bruise on her face.

"That still doesn't explain anything. The only thing that changed is your hairstyle."

Vivi became a stone after hearing this.

She didn't know how to explain her hair.

"You should know. Your blue hair is an outstanding feature. How come no one knows your hair color?"

"That is"

"There is only one truth for this. You are one of them not the princess of Alabasta." Yamato swung her sword creating a crescent cut on the ground right in front of Vivi.

"So this is how far you can go, cheater. I crack your bad story in 3 lines." Yamato's eyes focused on Vivi.

Despite the difference in their strength, Vivi's steps didn't stop.

Vivi approached Yamato once again with her hand raising high as if she wanted to give Yamato a passionate slap.

Yamato didn't understand why Vivi became a normal woman. She looked at a pair of Kujakki Slashers on the floor. Those were Vivi's weapons.

While Vivi approached her, Yamato saw a sudden change behind Vivi.

A desert turned into a lush forest.

Following the trace, Yamato could see a man with a cape of justice approaching.

Yamato recognized him at first look.

"Marine."

Yamato remembered every famous and unfamous marine but the guy who turned the desert into a forest. Nothing came to her mind after seeing his face.

Despite so, she felt excited when seeing his ability. He shouldn't be a mob.

He arrived just at the right time.

Yamato ignored Vivi and charged at Greenbull who was still afar.

In Vivi's eyes, Yamato disappeared in the blink of an eye. She expected a hit from Yamato.

1 second passed. Vivi didn't feel anything.

2 second …

3 second …

The atmosphere turned awkward. Vivi looked at her former comrades while her former comrades looked at her with angry brows.

Those who ate Devil Fruit were handcuffed by a sea stone cuff.

However, Babe didn't eat Devil Fruit. He could easily defeat Vivi while his hands were handcuffed.

The situation was changed. Yamato wasn't here watching him.

Breaking the handcuff, he made his way towards Vivi.

The moment he knew Vivi was a mole, his heart was chipped.

Vivi didn't expect that Yamato was careless in detaining them.

She was too close to avoid him and she was also too far to pick her weapon.

"You know. You are a kind person." Babe raised his punch.

"I will miss you." his punch slammed down.

Fast and decisive.

Suddenly, a pillar of water shot up from the ground where Babe was standing.

Babe was flying in the sky with his wide-opened mouth.

"Fresh air. I am truly alive now" Furina emerged from the pillar of water with a bottle.

Seeing Vivi squatting down on the floor, Furina slightly pulled her hat down as a way to say Hi.

"Hi. How's it going? Is everything great?"

Her composure returned. Vivi stood up and dusted her clothes.

After dusting, Vivi gently laid her hand on her chest and introduced herself.

"Greeting, fellow. Thank you for helping me. I am Vivi, the princess of Alabasta."

"Greetings, Vivi, a mortal. I am Furina, the god of justice. You should be grateful for seeing me with your bare eyes. Not everyone can see me this close."

Furina introduced herself but her introduction put Vivi in a hard situation.

She didn't know how to reply to Furina's greeting. Furina's actions and words were abnormal.

Babe, who got launched into the sky, dropped behind Furina.

"So. What do you want to ask me? I can see it in your eyes."

Vivi eye's were reflecting an image of a bottle. Looking more carefully, Vivi spotted her mortal enemy, Crocodile, trapped inside the bottle.

"Crocodile. He is."

"Crocodile. Yes. He is in my jurisdiction now." Shaking the bottle, Furina stared at Crocodile who was shrunk to the size of an ant.

"He has done many bad things for many years without punishment. I am thinking about what kind of punishment I am going to give him."

"Can you give him to me?"

"Sorry if I say this. I am not going to hand him over to you since he needs a judgment from me."

"He has done bad things to my country, my homeland. It should be me who will judge him."

"Pardon me. I won't hand him over to you no matter what price you offer." Furina looked at Crocodile's subordinates.

"But you can have them. I give them to you."

"No. That is not what I want" Vivi retorted.

"If that so then allow me to say sorry. I can't satisfy your wish anymore. I will give you an advice as a god of justice. Don't be greedy. Bye-bye."

Furina jumped off the building.

Vivi quickly moved to the window and looked down.

She saw a pair of wings gliding in the wind.

Vivi saw Furina flying towards the lush forest.

"We will settle our disagreement later." Vivi could hear Furina's voice echoing.

"Just let her do as she wishes, my daughter." King Cobra stepped out from the ruin. His body had many wounds and bruises.

He had been tormented and tortured by Crocodile in the dungeon for a piece of information about Pluton. Too bad for Crocodile that he didn't know too much about Pluton.

"Dad. Is there anything wrong?"

"I'm fine, my daughter. Those scars and bruises on my body, I can endure it."

King Cobra sat down on the stone.

"I think I will abdicate after this."

"Why Dad. You can continue being a king."

Seeing the worry on his daughter's face, he knew it was time to decide the future.

"I have thought many times. The only solution now is you, my sweet daughter. You have to become a king of Alabasta."

"King. But I am a girl. No one will accept me."

"Maybe now. But still, they will gradually accept you. Trust me. The new age is coming. I can see that." King Cobra exhaled a deep breath and closed his eyes to rest.

"Just remember, Vivi. The new age is coming. It's time for you to hold the weight of D."

"The new age is coming" Vivi repeated her father's words.

While Vivi treated her father's wound, she tried to understand her father's words.

"And the weight of D."

"Father" Vivi looked at Father's face.

"Sometimes, I don't understand you."
