Chapter 8 - Jiwoo

"My what?!" Jinsol looked at her best friend incredulously. Was she hearing it right?

Jiwoo, on the other hand, was eying both women, the realization slowly downing on her. That's why Haneul had seemed so similar. She'd been accompanying Jinsol that day. Jiwoo remembered her dragging the furious blonde out of the coffee shop.

With that came a second realization, she was going to be Jinsol's secretary. A secretary to the rude woman that led to her being unemployed to begin with. The day had quickly turned into a nightmare.

Jiwoo wondered if it'd been Haneul's plan all along. She'd obviously recognized her during their interview. And if true, what was the purpose of it.

Jinsol seemed to have come to the same conclusion as she pulled the shorter woman by the wrist and dragged her toward her office. Soon, the both of them disappeared inside and Jiwoo could release a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding.

What had just happened? Reassured that they weren't going to pop out at any second, she felt safe enough coming from behind Sooyoung. Jiwoo only then noticed Sooyoung's eyes on her. Her friend seemed obviously concern with her and Jiwoo could see she had so many questions going through her head.

Jiwoo felt pressured to give her some semblance of an explanation. "Uhm how to explain this... Do you remember the annoying customer from the café I told you about?"

"You mean the one because of whom you lost your job?" Jiwoo nodded.

"Yeah, that one. The person I just bumped into and that person, turns out they're the same person." At her words, Jiwoo swore she saw Sooyoung's face fall. Leaving her confused about why the sudden mood changes. "Are you okay Sooyoung- unnie?"

"Do you know who she is?" The redhead shook her head, still in the mist on what was truly going on. "Jiwoo that woman," Jiwoo did notice the small hint of venom in Sooyoung's voice. "Is Han Jinsol, the new editor-in-chief. The one we talked about."

It took Jiwoo a moment to understand what Sooyoung was hinting at, but the she was back at the restaurant listening to her friends and Mrs. Seo rave about a Han Jinsol. Was it really that woman?

She searched her mind for that conversation and any info she could remember on Han Jinsol. "Fuck!" She cursed out loud. Had she really made an enemy out of the daughter of HM Entertainment? Jiwoo wanted the ground to swallow her whole and never spit her back up. She was in big trouble.

Sooyoung saw the panic setting in Jiwoo and her gaze softened. "Hey, it's going to be okay. I don't think you have much to worry about."

"What do you mean, I don't have to worry? She's going to want revenge. What if she sued me for her phone. I'm sure she has like, a bajillion lawyers."

"Why would she even sue you?"

"I poor coffee on her and broke her phone. Oh gosh I'm going to dad." She had her head in her hands, and was racking her brain for any way out of the shithole she'd dug herself into.

Suddenly she felt someone touching her head and looked up. Sooyoung gave her a reassuring smile. "She won' sue you trust me. And even if she did. I'm here. I won't let anything bad happen to you." Jiwoo's eyes watered at Sooyoung's sincere words and she tacked the older woman into a hug. It was moments like that that remind her why she liked Sooyoung so much.
