The carriage smoothly started its journey towards the Vrisorid Kingdom's central, the Atlas City, leaving the familiar surroundings of the magic guild and the Luton City behind.
As I glanced out of the window, I couldn't shake the mix of emotions swirling within me—excitement for the adventures awaiting at the academy, a tinge of sadness for leaving my father and the guild, and a sense of curiosity about what the future held.
Uncle George, sitting across from me, seemed to notice the array of emotions on my face.
"Don't worry, Ryan. The Central Academy is an extraordinary place, and you'll make wonderful memories there. Plus, you'll have your father waiting for you whenever you decide to return."
His reassuring words brought a sense of comfort. I nodded, appreciating his understanding. Ku, perched on my head, chirped softly, as if echoing the sentiment.
Now that I'm becoming a student at the Central Academy, I want to know more about it. I might as well ask my Uncle.
"Um, Uncle George, could you tell me more about the Central Academy?" I asked him with curiosity.
"Sure!" He said, "As you know, the Central Academy for mana arts is the only institution..."
"Uh! I mean, I want to know more about the internal details of the academy. Like, you know, about education, classes, grades, and stuff?"
I interjected in the middle when he was saying things I already knew.
"Oh? You're already interested in that, I see. Okay, let me explain it to you," he said.
"The Central Academy is mainly divided into six levels of education, which basically means you will have six grades to graduate from the Academy. Each grade has its own manner of evaluating and increasing a student's abilities, strength, and method of cultivation, overseen by professors and mentors who are at least AA-ranked adventurers," he explained.
Wow, it seems like the professors know their stuff. Even so, AA-rank is the next rank after A-rank, and I'm already at the A-rank currently.
"Come to think of it, Ryan, you are a mage and an expert swordsman with two elemental attributes, right?" Uncle George asked as he was explaining things.
The last time I fought Uncle George, I used fire and wind magic. I don't suppose he knows I'm a quadra-elemental mage, and it's not like I can hide things from him either. He is family, after all.
"About that uncle. You see, I actually am a quadra-elemental mage."
"Huh?" Uncle George was awe-struck.
Well, this wasn't something that I could, nor wanted to hide.
"I'm a lot more adept at controlling the basic four elements, though. I also have all the higher forms like Gravity, Ice, and Lightning elements, although I had just begun training in the-"
"Wait, wait, wait...." Uncle George cut in, "You mean to tell me, you are a quadra mage with three higher elemental attributes?" he asked.
"...I guess?" I replied.
"Sighs" Uncle George sighed with awe filling his face.
"Papa and Ku are strong!" Ku said as I was speaking with Uncle George while sitting on my head. "I suppose we are, Ku!" I replied.
It was understandable that he'd be this surprised, but I was getting tired of the shocked expressions, considering my Helen and even Father's expressions while hearing this.
After an eternity of silence, "I must say, that's truly remarkable, Ryan. I have heard about mages with quadra elements and mages with two higher elements, but no one has even heard or known about a Quadra mage with higher elemental attributes," Uncle George exclaimed, his eyes wide with amazement.
"I didn't expect you to have such a unique combination of elements. You must have an incredible affinity for mana," he added, clearly impressed.
With my training of aura and physic from the memories of my past life, I was able to manipulate pure mana flow from the atmosphere. Considering that, I suppose it was certainly effective.
"Well, it's not something I chose; it just happened. But I'm planning to make the most of it," I replied, trying to downplay the extraordinary nature of my abilities. It's not like I can tell him about my past life's memories and mana manipulation with cultivation techniques.
"Considering the true power and potential you hold, you may become a certainly strong individual. However," He said, "If word got out about your potential, the continent would most likely lose its balance considering the magical strength of the people from all four races."
He does have a point. The Central Academy is like a place with more than enough nobles and royals from different races studying.
"What if I seal two of my elements and the higher versions for hiding it?" I asked with curiosity.
Uncle George started to think as he finally replied, "Yes. That is probably the best answer we could go with. I assure you that I will never say anything to anyone, aside from your adoptive mother because she would help you too.... I guess!"
Yeah, I was planning on that. But, man. This man is really afraid of his sister. I wonder what kind of person my father's wife would be.
As we continued our conversation, Uncle George said he would help me get an artifact for the not-revealing process, and he also shared more details about the structure of the Central Academy, explaining the curriculum, the focus on both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, as well as the various specialized classes offered.
And as he explained things I wanted to know, I nodded, absorbing the information. The Central Academy sounded like a place where I could continue to grow and challenge myself. I was eager to delve into the diverse world of magic and uncover more of my abilities.
As the carriage continued its journey, I couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of excitement for the adventures that awaited me at the Central Academy. Little did I know, the challenges and discoveries ahead would shape my destiny in ways I had yet to imagine.
