After two weeks of endless traveling through the entrance cities, we have finally arrived at the capital city of Atlas.
The city thrived by utilizing the natural riches in the surrounding woodlands near its entrance. Even when compared to the rest of the Vrisorid Kingdom, it was worthy of being called the Kingdom's Capital.
Atlas City had a lengthy history, and its overall aspect had been retained in its original state of simplicity and unadorned elegance.
The Vrisorid Kingdom has taken special care over the last several hundred years to safeguard some of the more ancient structures. As a result, many millennia-old structures may be found in this ancient city.
Every race from the continent was mixing together in the crowd from the teleportation portals located at the entrance, while we entered through the cities because there were no teleportation gates between Luton to Atlas.
Even adventurers, merchants, and people traveling across the continent had to pass through the city if they had come to the Vrisorid Kingdom.
I looked at my magical beast partner who was asleep in my lap as we sat inside the carriage along with Uncle George while we entered into Atlas City.
"Hey! Ku! We are here! Wakey-wake!"
"Kyu"
"I'm up! Papa! Kyuuu~ Ah! So crowded, Papa!"
"Haha!"
I guess it is a little too crowded for a place.
With much excitement to see the city, I turned my gaze to Uncle George, asking, "Are we going to the Academy directly, Uncle?"
"Going straight would be preferable, but let's just take some breather and freshen up before we go there. But let's register your name first and freshen up while we are at it!" My uncle said with a smile.
Yeah, I wouldn't be going into some academy with my sleepy face on too.
After that, the carriage stopped at a particular spot after going further inside the city. It seemed like some kind of well-built huge manor, with a sign saying Central Admissions.
"Let's go in, Ryan!" My uncle said as we got out of the carriage.
I took my things and dropped them inside my spatial storage while wearing my backpack, thinking not to fill up the whole spatial ring with my stuff. Ku leapt to my head, and as usual, he took his place at my head, observing with excitement.
With the guards located at the entrance opening the doors upon seeing my uncle George, they bowed towards him with respect.
"Come on!" He said as he kept on walking, and I followed him slowly by noticing the place inside.
There were a few people inside, and there were desks where students were giving their details for admissions. To the far right, students who are getting registered were checking their magical capacity. To the far left, people were filling forms.
And there was also a sofa located in the left corner, where only a man in his forties was sitting. The people around didn't dare to come near him or sit with him. He seems to be some important person, but I did wonder why he was alone.
As soon as we walked further in, "Goodness. Vice-Director. Madam Director told you would be here?" The man in his forties, who was sitting on the sofa, asked as he stood up and walked over to us.
"The Vice-Dean?"
"Is that really The George Aurae?"
"I heard his daughter is already a Yellow-light mage!"
"But..who is that little boy?"
"Isn't he handsome?"
"The magical beast with him is really cute!"
The people inside were starting to whisper. But, my uncle never said anything about him having a daughter? Well, better not ask him unless he reveals it himself.
"Sir Adler. You are here, I see. Did my sister send you here?" My uncle said with a smile.
Seems like my adoptive mother sent this man to check me. And with 'Sir,' I can see he really must be someone important. The man looked surprisingly slim. He had b lack parted hair, with a small, black beard on his chin and reddish brown eyes, wearing glasses.
And not to mention, I was able to sense his mana flow, which was at least at the Solid-yellow stage.
"Ryan!" Calling me forward, "This is Mr. Adler Trident. He is a former graduate from the Central Academy and also the owner of the Trident Auction house." Uncle George introduced me.
So, this man is a graduate. He seems strong even when his physique wasn't so developed.
"Hello, sir. My name is Ryan Dainsleif; it's nice to meet you!" I introduced myself in a noble manner. Thanks to my past memories and my father's training, I was able to execute it flawlessly.
"Oh my, you are really well-mannered Young Lad," Adler said with a smile as he continued, "Yes. Madam sent me here to give Mr. Ryan his ID and the Key to the room located on the second floor. He would be resting there today, and tomorrow, he will be going into the academy," The man named Adler said as he walked towards me, handing over the key.
Seems like they already sped up the process of me getting an registration before hand. The ID had my details saying I was an Yellow-Light stage mage. But it didn't specify my attributes in it.
Seems like my uncle already informed my adoptive mother about me through long distance scroll. I saw him talking to her using that when we took rests while traveling but I didn't expect this.
"What about you, Uncle?" I asked after getting my ID and the key in my hand.
"No, the Vice-Director has to report to madam today. But not to worry, you would be coming to the Auction house today with me!" Adler said with a smile.
Going to the auctions huh? not a bad way to spend my day.
"GRRRR"
While we were talking, my stomach started to rumble.
"My my, seems like you are hungry Mr. Ryan. You get freshened up first, the food will be coming to your room soon!" Adler said with a slight chuckle.
After that, we all walked inside the elevation device that was kept in the center-end of the wide hall, and with the floor number clicked in the panel that was on the side, the device closed its translucent doors and lifted us, going straight to the second floor.
The elevator smoothly ascended to the second floor, and as the doors opened, I found myself in a well-decorated hallway with intricately designed carpets and paintings adorning the walls. It had an air of sophistication and elegance, befitting the reputation of the Central Academy.
Adler gestured towards a set of ornate doors, indicating that it was the room assigned to me. "Mr. Ryan, this is your room. Feel free to make yourself comfortable. The food will be brought to you shortly."
"Thank you, Sir Adler. I appreciate your assistance," I replied politely.
"And thank you, Uncle George, for accompanying me. I appreciate it," I said, expressing my gratitude.
Uncle George patted my shoulder, "No problem at all, Ryan. Rest well and get ready for academy life. I'll see you tomorrow." With that, he bid farewell and headed back downstairs.
