I blinked opened my eyes and let my brain gather everything that happened. I remember going to the party with Danzel, him being busy, and then –that guy! I shot upright in my bed but winced in pain when my back ached.
"Hey!" I heard Susan's voice and turned around to find her sitting on the couch.
I tried to speak but my throat was dry, so I ended up coughing vigorously. She seemed to notice my discomfort and handed me the glass of water. I quickly took it and gulped it.
"How are you feeling now, Angel?" Susan asked me with concern.
"I am fine now," I said with a small smile.
"Um—who brought me here?" I asked her.
"Danzel brought you last night." she said and continued, "Well, he was pretty worried about you."
"Danzel—" I asked in disbelief, "worried?"
"Yeah, he was." She smiled at my expression, "we all were, actually. When he brought you home, with the state you were in, nearly gave my mother an attack!"
