I woke up, creasing my eyes to block the sunlight from falling. The next side of the bed was neatly made. I touched it to find it pretty cold. He must have left early. I sat up on my bed and got ready. When I opened my closet, it was in the same condition as I had left it. I got dressed and was plating my hair just then I heard a knock on the door.
It was Susan. I swallowed nervously when I remembered how much I missed her. I ran across the room and pulled her into a tight hug. Susan didn't embrace me. I knew she was sad, probably angry about how I had left her that day.
"I am sorry..." I whispered and tightened my grip, hoping she would embrace me.
Her hands slowly moved upwards and she returned my hug. She patted my back slowly as I broke the hug. I looked at her. She was staring at me, waiting for me to answer, to explain why I had done it.
"I am sorry. I was..." I looked at my fingers not knowing what to explain.
