My eyes slowly opened to reveal the sound of breathing next to my ear. When I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was a box with a gold frame that gave off an elegant impression. My eyes blinked several times to improve my vision. The box I saw earlier turned out to be a very impressive wedding photo. The bride is stunning, her smile and sparkling eyes filling the frame. Meanwhile, the groom looks dashing in a black tuxedo, his arms affectionately hugging the bride's waist. They do love each other and are happy to be married. What an excellent couple they are. I examined the photograph more closely because I seemed to recognize the groom's face."Where have I seen him?" I pondered.
I shifted my focus to the side. My vision was filled with a handsome face. His face is cleanly shaped, and his jaw is firm, with a pair of neatly arranged thick brows, a sharp nose, thin lips, and messy brunette hair. I couldn't help but smile at the lovely sight in front of me. I didn't squander this opportunity; instead, I gazed at and admired the man in front of me. But wait a second!! I gradually realized there was something strange going on. Isn't that the man in the picture? To confirm this, for couple of times I compared his face to the photo on the wall that I had previously seen.
Yes, exactly!! He's the man in the picture. I pressed my lips together tightly, trying not to make any noise. I was terrified of him and awoke as a result of my voice. I looked around the room once I was calm. There is a large, comfortable khaki sofa in front of the bed, as well as a glass table with gold wrought iron legs. A large glass window with lace curtains in white and gold fills one side of the room. On the opposite wall is a large and tall bookshelf. I felt movement from the man sleeping next to me before I finished exploring. I closed my eyes once more because I was afraid and didn't dare to move. I have no idea what happened or what I should do.
"Oh my gosh, where am I, who is he, what happened?" I pondered. The movement became increasingly pronounced. Suddenly, something warm and tender touched my forehead. He surprised me by kissing my forehead first, followed by my cheeks. My heart seemed to leap from my chest. I suppressed all of my feelings with all of my might. I felt him rise from the bed and leave from my side. The sound of the door opening and closing softly could be heard afterwards.
I kept my mouth shut. I didn't hear or see anything else after that. I opened my eyes slightly and moved my gaze around. I didn't see anyone, so I widened my eyes and looked around. I looked left to right, making sure there was no one in the room. I stood up and walked around the room. I decided to open the door slowly and carefully so I could see what was outside.
My attention was drawn to a tall, solid man standing proudly with his back to me, conversing with another man standing sideways from where I was peering. He wasn't as tall or as attractive as the previous man, but he was still very appealing. Another man walked towards them through the right door, carrying a folder. "I shouldn't have asked her out for a walk," I overheard someone say. "She won't be exhausted," he said
"It's not your fault," said the second man I saw.
"After all, it's not as bad as you think, Sean," said the other man.
"OOhhh...so the man I was with earlier was named Sean" I told myself trying to figure out something.
"Yes, I hope so," he continued. "Alden...can you ask Elena to check it again in detail?"
"My girlfriend is also very busy, Sean," Alden said.
" You can't just invite her over like that. It just happened she was near by at the time. So she'll be able to come right away. I'll ask Elena to arrange an examination schedule right away. Don't worry." He added.
"And you..don't keep battling that never-ending task, Lewis." he warned the other men.
"Elena... Is she the same doctor who examined me earlier? " I had a quick thought. I took another look at them.
In response to his friend Alden, the man named Lewis only gave a faint smile. "Where is the information I asked for?" he asked, raising his hand to Alden.
"Here," Alden said, handing Lewis the folder he was holding.
"I didn't get anything negative about him. There is no criminal record or anything. He runs his business ethically." Alden explained.
Lewis frowned as he read the document, then handed it to Sean, saying, "Then we can sign a cooperation contract with him tomorrow, Sean."
Sean received the document and carefully read it before saying, "OK, we'll start working together the day after tomorrow." He became more agitated. "Aunt Jen, come here." he called out for someone else.
A neat and polite middle-aged woman entered the room with her head bowed. Sean went on to say, "Please make porridge for my wife."
"Yes, Mr Sean," the woman replied. Miss Katelyn's favorite porridge will be ready in half an hour. Sean simply nodded. The woman then exited the room.
"Oh...So Sean, the man, is already married. Katelyn is her name. "The woman in the photo," I muttered, recalling the photo I'd seen earlier in the room. "HAhh... why did he kiss my forehead and cheek if he was married?" "You playboy... a perverted man," I blurted out. "Even though his wife is very beautiful," I mumbled and unconsciously pursed my lips. When I saw Sean suddenly turn his body towards the door and peek, I went back to bed in a hurry.
