On entering the room, a warm, golden light spilled out, beckoning me into the room and my eyes widened in wonder.
The space was alive with the essence of nature, as if the forest itself had been transported indoors.
Soft, moss-like carpeting covered the floor, and vines adorned the walls, their delicate tendrils curling around intricate wooden
carvings.
The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming wildflowers, and the gentle hum of fairy wings.
Floating magical lights, like tiny, shimmering fireflies, danced around the room, casting a whimsical glow. They seemed to be guided by a dozen or so fairies, no bigger than my thumb, flitting about with mischievous grins.
Each fairy wore a delicate, petal-like cloak, and their hair shimmered like spun silver.
In the room's center, a majestic tree grew from the floor, its trunk strong and sturdy, its branches stretching toward the ceiling like a
canopy. The leaves rustled softly, releasing a gentle shower of glittering, iridescent petals.
The bed, crafted from polished driftwood, floated amidst clouds. Delicate, feathery curtains billowed around it, shimmering ethereally.
"Welcome, Phelia," said one of the fairies, with wings like a butterfly's while she fluttered up to me. "We've been waiting. We're your room's guardians, the Luminari and I'm lyrinx your personal fairy"
As she spoke, the fairies began to flit about, adjusting the floating lights, and arranging the wildflowers in intricate patterns.
"What magic is this?" I asked, enchanted.
"The Room of the Ancient Oak," Lyrinx replied.
"A sanctuary crafted by the ancient ones, infused with nature's essence. You're its chosen occupant, Phelia."
"Does that mean each room differs, and uses different magic depending on who it chooses"- I asked
"Yes, rooms choose occupant based compatibility" -lyrinx said
It made me wonder just how many magical spells exist, and how the school acquired so many.
I wandered around the room, touching the vines, feeling the gentle energy of the space.
"How do I care for this magical place?" I asked.
The fairy smiled. "We, the Luminari, will tend to its needs. Your presence is enough. Your heart and imagination will nourish this
sanctuary same goes for your roommates."
"Roommates" oh no how could I forget about that.
"Yes, your roommates have arrived, but went
out to explore the school do expect them"
"You will be sharing this space with three other people since each room has an accommodation for four"- lyrinx said
That was when I looked around properly, and saw three other beds each far from the other at different corners of the room and having their luggage by their bedside no wonder I didn't notice, this room is the size of a ballroom.
As I explored further, I discovered hidden nooks and secrets: a miniature waterfall,
a bookshelf filled with ancient tomes, and a window that framed a breath-taking view of the surrounding forest.
The Room of the Ancient Oak was more than just a space – it was a living, breathing entity, woven from the very fabric of nature. And I
felt grateful to be its occupant.
By the time I was done exploring the space the fairies where nowhere to be found, but my bags where beside my floating bed.
Moving over to the bed, I sat down, and lay sprawled, starting to accept the life here, "sigh" slowly drifting off to sleep, I couldn't help but think about my roommates, I was yet to see the..mm "yawn".
_Bang_
Startled, by the sound of the door closing loudly, I quickly rose up to be met with two girls kissing fiercely, and groping each other, one with black hair, and the other with blue, I couldn't really see their faces, due to the room being so large, mouth agape, and eyes bulging out of their sockets, I couldn't help but stare either in shock or surprise, I couldn't tell.
When my brain was able process it all, and I was about to look away, the girl with black hair looked my way surprised someone else was in the room.
She lightly pushed the other girl with a blue buzz cut, which made her stop what she was doing to look at her, noticing she was looking at something, and looking towards the same direction, she sighted me.
With a very loud sigh, and angry look she left the one I made eye contact with, and went to lay down on her bed.
I heard the girl with black hair giggle as she walked in my direction.
Now close enough for me to see her, instead of the black hair, she had hair like rich, dark chocolate cascading down her back, infused with subtle hints of crimson.
Eyes like pools of pure honey shone bright, filled with wisdom.
Delicate, almost translucent petals sprouted from her shoulders down to her finger tips, their soft glow illuminating her path. Her
voice was a gentle breeze.
On getting to where I was "would you like to join us"- she said
"Oh no, no, it's all good, sorry for staring I was startled by the loud sound"
"No, it's our fault for not checking first"
_ Snicker_ [blue-haired girl]
We both turned to the direction of the blue haired girl.
"Don't mind her she's always like that"
"oh.. o ..okay"
"I'm Calantha Georgiou... What's your name?"
"Phelia Weldher"
"It's nice to meet you Phelia" she said hand outstretched for a hand shake.
"Oh and that's Kaelara Grant... she might seem... rough around the edges but she's as nice as its gets"
_Scoff_ [kaelara]
Calantha couldn't help but giggle at kealara pissed self.
"Welcome to pargon imperial academy, I hope we can all be friends".
"Yeah... friends"- do I really want to be friends with them, I thought to myself.
Calantha's enchanting presence blossomed like a rare flower. Petal-soft skin glowed with subtle, shimmering undertones, reminiscent of moonlit gardens, giving off a peaceful vibe.
Maybe it won't be so bad, Calantha seems nice enough not so sure about Kaelara though but tha...
Ding-dong... ding-dong... ding-dong.
"That's the bell for the gathering of the new students at the grand hall"- Calantha said.
"How'd you know that" – I asked
"Didn't you read your schedule"
"Oh no not ye..."
"Calan quit talking let's go" – kaelara said, while leaving out the door.
"Phelia, come on, let's go" – Calantha said
I quickly got off the bed, and followed after her.
...
In the hallways leading to the grand hall, the presence of a dark entity lurked in the shadows, before disappearing without a trace.
