Chapter 4 - That's not how you play a homicidal maniac.

The audition started at seven in the morning and was arranged at a hotel. When Feng Su arrived with Li Si, there were already cars parked downstairs.

Crystal Lake Murderer, a horror film.

The approximate content is about a few handsome men and women, running to a place called Crystal Lake summer holiday, the result is that there is a homicidal maniac hidden there, and they all as a dog slaughtered ...

After watching it, Li Si realised that this could be the parallel world's Friday the 13th.

In the original world, Friday the 13th was released in 2009 and caused a sensation.

It portrayed a classic film homicidal maniac image [Jason].

On the other hand, over here, horror films did not emerge slowly until the last few years and quickly accumulated a group of fans, mostly young people who liked excitement. Director Sun counts himself as one of the most powerful directors in this category.

It was for this reason that many acting companies sent new generation actors to try their luck, and the competition was quite fierce.

"Speak politely, go in and greet the teachers, don't put on a bad face ..."

Until just before he went in, Feng Su was still helping Li Si straighten his collar and droning on and on.

"Alright, go." She pushed Li Si.

Li Si cleared his throat before knocking on the door.

Knock knock knock.

"Come in." A voice spoke from inside, and Li Si pushed the door open.

The plastic smell of bad props hit the room.

The two whispering on the left should be the scriptwriters, and Director Sun sat on the far right, wearing black-rimmed glasses.

He looked at the information in his hand, "Li Si, right, Xiao Su introduced me. Which role do you want to try out for?"

"Hello teacher, I want to play the male number two."

Director Sun didn't even raise his head, "The second male role has been booked. You try for the supporting role, play Li Qi. Go wait by the side and audition together later."

Li Qi. If Li Si remembered correctly, this was an unlucky guy who was hacked to death by a homicidal maniac in the beginning.

But he didn't change his face, and after answering the question, he obediently stood by the wall

There was a line of young actors standing in the corner early on, and a greasy-headed youngster glanced at Li Si and let out a sudden snort.

Li Si did not look away. Director Sun was still flipping through the documents, as if he hadn't heard any sound.

After a while, confirming that no one else was coming, Director Sun then raised his head, "Alright, let's begin."

"First up is the male number one ..."

Actors came and went, and it was finally Li Si's turn. He had been busy all night last night, and by this time he was leaning against the wall and was fast asleep.

The auditions went on until the afternoon, and in fact, Director Sun and the two screenwriters were annoyed to no end.

In the end, there was no need to audition for a small role like Li Qi. The director said whoever he wants to play will play, and no one will argue.

It was time to go through the motions, and Director Sun didn't hide the fact that he yawned several times, "This scene is where the homicidal maniac suddenly appears, and Li Qi screams, then gets hacked to death."

"That, that who, Dong Fan, you play the homicidal maniac."

Coincidentally, Dong Fan was none other than the white-faced boy who had mocked Li Qi earlier.

He first smiled curtly at Director Sun, "Okay director!"

He then glared with round eyes, used a pen as a machete, and walked towards Li Si step by step.

And Li Si ...

Li Si's reaction was strange.

He looked at Dong Fan with a confused look. It wasn't until the latter walked up to him and pressed the fountain pen against his stomach that he reacted as an afterthought.

"Ah? Has it started already?"

Director Sun frowned, he hated actors who didn't take things seriously.

But after all, Li Qi was just a small to small role. Feng Su begged to his head, and it really wasn't too decent for him to arrange this kind of role for someone else.

So Director Sun decided to endure this time and just said with a hard-on, "Li Si, be serious and start over."

Who would have thought that Li Si would still have something to say.

"Director, can I make a small suggestion? I feel that homicidal maniacs shouldn't act like this, not like this ..." he gestured, "Holding a knife against someone's stomach."

Sun director this time is really angry, he hugged the chest sneer: "Aiyo! You're good, you can act, okay, then you act a homicidal maniac for me."

He made up his mind, no matter how well Li Si acted, he was going to curse this kid to death and then kick him out.

Several screenwriters also showed expressions of watching the fun, not to mention that Dong Fan who provoked Li Si as soon as he came up.

Li Si held the fountain pen in his hand, lowered his head, and straightened his hair slightly.

Then he raised his head and looked at Dong Fan.

With just this glance.

Director Sun immediately sat up straight.

That look was not cold, quite the contrary, he could see a touch of fervour restrained to the extreme in it.

It was like the moment before a hunter hunts an animal, his finger on the trigger, his eyes full of desire to take life.

"There are many kinds of homicidal maniacs, and this one here in Crystal Lake, he's considered the most common kind." Li Si's tone changed.

He ended each sentence with a slight trill, like he was forcibly suppressing some kind of emotion.

At the same time, for every nine words, Li Si took a step forward. The behaviour carried a mechanical precision.

"Cleanliness, obsessive-compulsive disorder, violent tendencies, these ailments are commonplace, but they definitely cannot be called common to homicidal maniacs. True homicidal maniacs have a common trait that can distinguish them well from normal people."

"Do you know ... what that is?"

Li Si looked at Dong Fan.

The fountain pen rolled in his palm, the cap unconsciously falling off while the sharp tip pointed towards the throat.

Even watching from the sidelines, Director Sun felt a chill rise up his tailbone.

Not to mention Dong Fan, who was facing Li Si directly.

His teeth gradually began to chatter and his heart beat violently.

An icy atmosphere spread through the room with Li Si at the centre.

The screenwriter and the Sun director leaned back in unison, trying to escape from Li Si. This was some sort of biological instinct.

By now, Li Si was already close at hand, and he gazed at Dong Fan, slowly raising a smile.

"The answer is ... that we have never treated humans as our own kind."

"Ah, ah ah ... ah ah ah ah ah ah!"

Suddenly, Dong Fan screamed, frantically retreating, and tripping over a stool.

He fell solidly to the ground, but crawled on his hands and knees until he reached the corner of the wall, before holding his body and shivering nonstop.

Just now, he really felt like he was going to be killed by Li Si.

After a while, he came back to his senses and looked at the crowd in the room somewhat dumbfounded.

Everyone had witnessed his scandalous behaviour. Meeting a few gazes that seemed to be laughing, Dong Fan froze, and then with a somewhat broken heart, he yelled out and slammed the door.

Li Si pointed in the direction Dong Fan had left, "This is none of my business."

Director Sun was also somewhat stunned.

He kept wiping his glasses and suddenly raised his head, looking at Li Si with a gaze full of eagerness.

He stood up.

Ten minutes later.

Feng Su leaned on the side of the car and kept looking at his watch, finally seeing Li Si slowly wandering out of the hotel.

"How was it, did you get the role?" Getting into the car and lighting the ignition, Feng Su pretended to ask casually.

"Well, got it." Li Si let out a big yawn.

"It's good to get it." Feng Su breathed a sigh of relief, "Which role is it?"

"Homicidal Maniac."

Feng Su's movements stopped.
