Chapter 7 - Li Si is a good boy.

On the 22nd of May, The Crystal Lake Murderer officially opened.

A lot of reporters came on the day of the opening, showing that many people in the country were optimistic about the future of this type of film.

Director Sun answered the reporters' questions fluently, and the few remaining lead actors also prepared suitable answers in advance.

Many reporters noticed a new face.

It was a young man, looking around with his hands in his pockets, as if he was a college student visiting the film.

Director Sun came over and patted the young man on the back, "This is Li Si, with a high level of professionalism, the person I found to play the role of the homicidal maniac. There is no actor in the country more suitable for this role than him."

It was customary for the director to blow off a wave of actors, and the reporters were not surprised, grabbing their cameras and snapping fiercely.

Someone asked a question, "Mr Li, I noticed that your temperament and homicidal maniac don't exactly match. May I ask if this is because you have your own understanding of [Homicide Maniac]?"

Li Si smiled and nodded. Just as he was about to speak, an object slipped out along the cuff and fell to the ground with a crisp clang.

Everyone subconsciously looked down and found that it was a screwdriver.

The tip was sharpened and sharp.

The person who asked the question just now opened his mouth and suddenly his mind went blank, forgetting what he wanted to ask.

Then, why does that feel like a murder weapon?

The atmosphere was cold for a while, or Director Sun suddenly laughed out loud, [I really didn't choose the wrong person] written all over his face.

"Little Li has been seriously speculating on this role since he got it, until last night when he stayed up late to study the character's image."

"What about the homicidal maniac in this film, in addition to being vicious, he's also very good at disguising himself. Little Li, you really think about how to play this role all the time!"

With Director Sun rounding things up, the icy air finally began to flow.

Smiles reappeared on the reporters' faces, and some even wanted to record this interesting scene separately.

Only the one who asked the question at the very beginning felt that something wasn't quite right no matter what.

But the interview was short, the next lead actor came over quickly, and he shifted his attention as a result. After the opening ceremony in the morning and the official start of filming in the afternoon, Director Sun asked Li Si to try on the costumes first.

"I've specially prepared a suit for Homicide Maniac, go and see if it fits."

Following the prop master, Li Si walked into the shed.

He first put on a bloodstained work uniform and a red mask.

"Well, is there any discomfort?" The prop master, a man in his mid-thirties, leaned down to fasten Li Si's belt.

Li Si stood up straight and quietly looked at himself in the mirror. He struck a few poses and suddenly said, "It doesn't feel right ..."

The props master behind him choked for a moment.

After seven or eight years in the industry, the props master had seen countless strange people. Some actors just like to find things for nothing, and the most outrageous time, the female lead asked him to find an [identical apple].

When Li Si said this, he was immediately classified as one of those actors.

The props master didn't have the heart to say, "What? You're going to make me run and buy you new clothes right away?"

Li Si turned around, his eyes fierce behind his mask.

The prop master's heart skipped a beat, almost thinking the kid was going to hit someone.

"Not fit to kill." Li Si said.

"What?" The prop master didn't understand.

Li Si patiently explained, "After killing someone, the blood is hard to deal with if it splashes on your clothes. That's why it's best to put a smock over it, and when it gets bloodstained you can just take it off and burn it."

"A red mask does have an oppressive look, but the colour is too bright. It's better to be black or blue, even if you approach the target from the front it won't be easily detected."

"And these shoes, it's too easy to leave footprints, almost equivalent to leaving clues for the cops, please help me smooth out the soles ... Are you listening?"

The prop master had been fuming since Li Si's second sentence, and when he heard the question, he shivered, "Got it, got it!"

Receiving the clothes handed to him, his entire look at Rees changed.

With these few words, the prop master was sure that the person in front of him was by no means a good person.

Holding the clothes and slowly backing away, the prop master had a stiff smile on his face, "I'll go prepare it now, is there anything else you need?"

Li Si thought for a moment and suddenly copied an item from the table.

The prop master fixed his eyes on it and found that it was the [machete] that the crew had prepared for the homicidal maniac.

"This knife is too short, it has to be around thirty centimetres to cut up people smoothly. Please work harder and change it for me." Li Si frowned, dissatisfied with the prop.

The prop master almost took the road and fled.

He nodded frantically while rushing out of the shed, just in time to brush shoulders with Director Sun.

Director Sun looked at the prop master's back somewhat strangely, "This is ..."

"Running to help me change props, very professional." Li Si was very satisfied with the prop master's attitude.

Director Sun lost his smile, "This old Qin, why is he so positive today?"

It was close to the start of filming before the props master dawdled and brought over what he needed. Director Sun was very satisfied with Li Si's new costume, as it was indeed much better than the original.

Much more like a homicidal maniac.

The prop master snuck up to Director Sun when Li Si wasn't looking.

"Old Sun, where did you find such a person? It can't be the prison, right?" He whispered anxiously.

Sun Guide smiled and narrowed his eyes, "Well? You think Li Si is good too?"

The prop master was so anxious that he almost exploded, "Good a...no, Old Sun, I really think there's something wrong with this kid."

"Do you remember our last visit to the prison? This kid's eyes, and the way he talks about killing people, are exactly the same as those felons sentenced to life imprisonment!"

Director Sun was silent for a moment after hearing this.

Just when the prop master thought that what he said was working, Director Sun suddenly nodded his head in relief, "Lean! Good!"

The props master was confused.

Director Sun explained to him that the hardest thing for an actor to do in a role is not to control his emotions, but to perform the kind of aura that fits the character.

Even when he wasn't in front of the camera, Li Si had that aura, showing that he had eaten the character thoroughly.

After hearing this nonsense, the props master just wanted to slap Director Sun.

He didn't know what it meant to try to figure out the character, he only knew that when Li Si said those words, his expression really didn't look like an act.

"Alright, it's time for me to go shoot the first one, don't delay over this kind of thing." Before leaving, Director Sun patted the prop master's shoulder.

And the latter stayed where he was and began to seriously think about whether or not to call the police.

When a film starts, the first strip is usually chosen to be the easiest to shoot. It could boost morale and also be used as a door opener for good luck.

Director Sun chose the segment [Li Qi mistakenly entered the Crystal Lake and was cut down by a homicidal maniac who suddenly appeared out of nowhere].

"Good, ACTION!"

The actor playing Li Qi hummed a little song with a leisurely posture. He walked to a grassy area, unbuckled his trousers and began to release the water.

Okay, next the murderer will appear from the left. First I'll be stiff and unable to move, then I'll turn and run.

He thought silently.

The grass shifted slightly, as if a wind had passed by. He suddenly looked up and a dark figure came into view.

There were also eyes that were filled with tyranny and coldness.

The pupils dilated fiercely.

He completely forgot what he was supposed to do, his mind was filled with nothing but that figure. He watched in disbelief as the other party approached and raised his machete.

All sounds were far away ...

"Ah, ah ah ..." A thin cry squeezed out of his throat.

"Help! Don't you come any closer!!!"
