Chapter 10 - Master Chen is scared to his knees

Li Si took off his headgear and was drenched in sweat.

The weather was too hot, thanks to the fact that his body was much better after loading the template, otherwise, if he wore such a thick homicidal maniac suit for training, an average person would have suffered from heatstroke long ago.

"What's wrong, Master Chen?"

Master Chen walked to his side and gave Li Si a comparison:

"For example, this punch just now, what I taught was clearly to hit the chest, and with your hand raised so high, it's going to hit the throat."

Li Si readily accepted, "Understood."

He practised for a while longer, and once again, Master Chen could not help himself, "Hey hey, this leg of yours, don't kick it there."

Li Si nodded honestly, and a few seconds later, Master Chen called him to a halt for the third time.

"Don't you be so dry."

Master Chen said, "Go through it with me."

The main problem with Li Si's movements was that he always got the target of his attacks wrong.

Clearly hitting the shoulder, he had to stab the neck. When he should kick the calf, he had to kick the crotch.

It was similar to a conditioned reflex.

So Master Chen decided to be a human target to correct Li Si's movements.

Li Si did not refuse.

Taking off his heavy workwear back trousers, he smoothed back his wet hair. With his feet apart, Li Si stood loosely opposite Master Chen.

"Raise your left hand upwards, it's a bit low, raise it upwards a bit more. If you throw a flat punch like this, won't it hit your chest just right?"

Master Chen held Li Si's arm and helped him complete a movement.

"Very good, next do the whole movement quickly." After saying that, Master Chen stood in front of Li Si.

Li Si pondered for two seconds, and his left hand fiercely probed forward. Master Chen stepped back in the nick of time and his body swayed, almost falling.

He was in a cold sweat for a split second.

Because Master Chen could see clearly that Li Si was heading for his neck.

Stabbing the throat is easily problematic, so many arenas prohibit this move.

If it were a normal competition, Master Chen would certainly be more vigilant.

Who would have thought that Li Si, an actor, would make such a sinister move.

"You did that on purpose!" Master Chen was both shocked and angry, thinking he had encountered a troublemaker. If that previous move had landed, he might have ended up on the ground directly.

"Sorry, Master Chen, how about we do it again?" Li Si felt guilty.

Do it again?

Master Chen shook his head frantically.

Now he also realized what had happened. Li Si's fingers had already touched his throat during that move. In praying mantis kung fu, there's a lethal move called "snatching the hand." First, you use two fingers to locate the position of the throat, and then you pull hard...

This kid must have fought before, and he can be said to be particularly skilled in martial arts.

His moves were accurate and fierce. There was a moment when Master Chen truly thought this wasn't practice but a fight for real.

Master Chen had a new idea. If Li Si made a mistake not because he couldn't learn it but because his muscle memory was acting up...

Thinking of this, he became uneasy. Even he didn't dare to look Li Si in the eye.

Without saying anything else, it's already the peaceful era. Why would you have this kind of muscle memory?

Can't think about it, can't think about it.

In an instant, dozens of speculations about Li Si's identity surged in his mind, from gangsters to professional killers.

Although he didn't understand how this kind of guy managed to join the crew as an actor, following the principle of avoiding trouble, Master Chen could only give a signal to Director Sun, letting him fend for himself.

Director Sun, puzzled, kept asking if Master Chen's eyes were uncomfortable.

After an entire morning of teaching the movements, Master Chen was exhausted and found a place to sit down and have a drink.

But as soon as he sat down, Li Si popped up and handed him a bottle of cola.

"Pfft!" Master Chen sprayed the water in his mouth and asked fearfully, "What, what do you want to do?"

He imagined countless possibilities, each more horrifying than the last.

He imagined countless possibilities, each more horrifying than the last.

As a result, Li Si looked sincere and said, "Sorry, Master Chen. I used to practice blindly on my own. I almost hurt you just now."

Master Chen was stunned.

"...Practiced blindly on your own?"

"Yes, yes." Li Si took two lunch boxes, handed one to Master Chen, and after some contemplation, Master Chen accepted it.

"Who's your master?" Master Chen asked as he opened the lunch box, finding two chicken legs inside, and looking at Li Si's, indeed, there was only vegetables.

...Oh dear, this kid.

Master Chen picked up the chicken legs and put them back into Li Si's lunch box, saying, "Don't tell me you're self-taught."

Li Si shook his head, "No master, it's just something passed down in the family, taught by my father."

Anyway, the original owner's parents were both deceased, so he could make up whatever he wanted.

Although it still felt a bit unconvincing, Master Chen had already believed seven out of ten of Li Si's words.

He lowered his head, took a few bites of the meal, then drank some cola. Master Chen, very seriously, said to Li Si, "Your skills might have been fine thirty years ago. But nowadays, everyone talks about the law. If you act so aggressively, it's easy to get into trouble."

Li Si nodded, "You're right."

He genuinely took it to heart. What Master Chen said came from the bottom of his heart, based on his experiences.

In life, conflicts with others are inevitable.

For someone like Li Si with martial skills, if he incapacitates someone right away, he might end up spending a decade or two cooling off in jail.

Master Chen was evidently still concerned. He finished his meal with a furrowed brow, wiped his mouth, and suddenly said to Li Si, "When will your film be finished?"

"In a week."

"Good." Master Chen stood up, "Actually, besides your crew, I'm also serving as the martial arts instructor for another film crew."

"If you have time, would you like to come and take a look, maybe spar with me?"

At this age, being able to fight like this, Li Si undoubtedly had great talent.

Master Chen deeply felt the responsibility to guide the younger generation properly, preventing them from going down the wrong path.
