She moved between the lakes, eventually reaching the center of her domain where we found… a rock. It was a black rock, perfectly smooth and spherical in shape. I couldn't sense anything particularly special about this rock, but nonetheless, she levitated it. As I observed, I noticed two small holes within the rock, one at the top and another at the bottom. Some of her people, who were already present before our arrival, along with many others who followed, watched eagerly, as if a show was being performed. A few individuals, who seemed to have specific tasks, carried clay buckets filled with the liquid.
The liquid from all fifteen buckets was magically pulled into the air by her as she passed them through the rock," it resembled a magic trick or a car wash, where the initially repulsive liquid emerged from the second hole in the rock, transformed into something beautiful and clean. To be honest, when I witnessed her levitating the rock, I already suspected that something like this would happen. However, I couldn't comprehend why the liquid contained such a tremendous amount of energy. Now, I understand that these lakes were not created by her domain, but rather from this water.
'But if they already have such a large supply, why do they keep going back every week for more? Will this supply run out quickly?' As I thought about this, the only thing visible in the air now was clean water, although everyone could feel the energy it carried. The old buckets have been replaced with cleaner, smoother ones, into which she pours the water. I want to touch that stone, but I fear she would be alerted if I did.
"With this new water, the survival rate of the children and future babies has improved, but… will it be enough?" she wondered.
As the new batch of water was carried away from the cavern, I followed Mul. She received kind words and praise from her people as she made her way to a building in the forest. It was the largest in the forest, constructed from trees themselves in a beautiful and unbelievable fashion, situated at the edge of a hill.
And there she entered the house, her guard loosened, allowing her body to relax, and she let out a heavy sigh.
"This is hard. I would have to push my domain again. It isn't easy at all to keep a village filled with food, and now babies are coming. Hadn't we agreed to keep some of the holy liquid in my domain to give it energy, my domain would probably have run dry already, resembling the desert outside. How did we even survive before I awoke my domain? Ohh yeah, the Grand Elder would continuously share his energy with us. Though we might not eat anything for months, we weren't hungry either. I guess he even had it harder than me," she thought as another sigh escapes her mouth.
"How long has it been since new babies were conceived? I hope they all survive, and I hope at least one of us becomes on the level of the Grand Elder soon. He said to become stronger and reach a whole new realm of power higher than his, that would be liberating for us all. But if even he can't, what guarantees do we have?" she thought.
And I felt her after that, exploring her domain. The next realm of power is the Jaenan class, my class. 'It's a pity that by the time you guys get a Jaenan class individual, this world could very well be long gone,' I thought.
