Inside a room, on a makeshift hospital. Sarah was staring at a flower, that was flattened between the pages of her book. It was that very exact flower that her little sister gave her when they were still kids. A snowdrop, she carefully hid the book with the flower inside back then and it was just lately that she found that book, collecting dust on her bookcase.

It was the night two days before the war and the two sisters were lying on the same bed, telling jokes, telling each other the one they'd fancied, and also telling each other their secrets. Like they were back at the time when they were kids playing before they went to sleep. With the sounds of laughter echoing inside the room and the sound of sobbing, like it was a farewell, it maybe their last happy and memorable time.
As the night was getting deep, the sound inside turned quiet. A heavy silence like both of them want to say something but neither want to be the first.
"Scarlet." Sarah who couldn't take anymore, ended the silence, but before she could continue.
"Sister, I know what you want to say but I had already chosen the path that I want to go since I was a kid. You also have chosen yours and I never once stopped you. I want to be able to protect with my own two hands the place that I grew up and loved." She then wiped the tears that was almost coming out on her big sister's eyes.
"But this is different! You can do something else-."
"NO!" She resolutely shouted to her. "I'm not as smart and knowledgeable as you, I'm not good at managing the country like my dad,and I also not good at etiquette and socializing like my mom!
I only know how to use a weapon and fight them and and and YES! I'm not ladylike as those wh*es who talk bad about me behind my bike. Or those soldiers who would say that I'm still a kid and can't do much with my strength. I always spend my time with my horse or watching the boats who sail the water." She cried and hugged her sister while still speaking words till it's inaudible. "Sister I'll do my best."
Looking at her little sister who finally fell asleep.
Then tear drops fell again on her eyes and hugged her more.
"You don't know but I am jealous of your energetic character. I also want to ride a horse but I'm scared if I fall. I also want to let go but I'm afraid that I will be mocked. I also want to fight but I'm weak. I also wanted to do things like you but I am still the same as before." She wiped her tears with a blanket.
"I am proud to have a little sister like you who makes me laugh and brought me things that I haven't seen yet."
"And I promise you that I will help you till I'm old. So I won't stop you and as a big sister, I would always be behind your back and heal you if get hurt or injured."

"I'll tell you all what my dream is! My dream is to protect mom, dad and you! And Nana, butler Theodore, and and everyone!"
"Okay! Since you want to protect everyone then I will be the best doctor just like mother and I will always treat you so you wouldn't cry!"
"Uh! I won't cry! I'm not a kid anymore!"
"Hahaha! Well said, both of my precious little princesses are the best!"
"You two better study and be good girls so you will grow up like a good princesses. Will you stop encouraging them? They are still young."
"Ah you are still bori- no I meant beautiful and yes kids you two need to become a proper lady like your mother!"

Coming back from her thoughts, Sarah heard the commotion outside. The wailing injured soldiers and the shouts of the doctors, nurses and even her mother can be heard.
She stood up and prepared to help.
"The war has started, I hope nothing will happen."
