He had never heard anyone getting a special class so early before. The earliest he knew in his previous life was when that psycho girl got the necromancer class from a mage when she was clearing tower level 40.
Deciding to take the risk, Kiel got up and took the watermelon, wait no, the Inheritance Orb from Ryujin.
Nothing happened for a while.
Kiel looked up and stared at Ryujin puzzled.
The corner of Ryujin's eyes twitched.
"You are supposed to push your mana into it."
Embarrassed, Kiel lowered his head and recollected himself.
Taking a deep breath, he starts to pump his mana into the orb.
WHOOSH!!!!!
A blue whirlpool formed on the orb then Kiel felt his mana being drained crazily.
And he was unable to stop it!
Kiel was terrified, he could not pull his hands free and even Ryujin was surprised by the big commotion.
Kiel saw his mana dwindle at a rapid pace

Kiel broke out in cold sweat. He almost died.
Now he was really afraid, trying to let go but the Inheritance Orb stuck to both hands like they are cemented on.
Without warning, a silver whirlpool formed another suction force come from the Orb

Kiel suddenly felt weak all over.
No, he had 0 experience points, how could it be drained?
He quickly called he status up

He felt a surge of power radiating from his mana core in his chest spreading comfortable warmth throughout every cell in his body.
Kiel had to fight back with all his will power not to make an embarrassing moan from the extreme comfort he felt.

Kiel stared at his Status window trying to see if he missed anything.
NOTHING CHANGED!!!! What a scam.
All those mana, health, experience points and mental trauma for nothing?
Wait!! He now can not level up???!!
Kiel looked at Ryujin feeling completely aggrieved. He screamed:
"What did you do to me!!??
I went through all that for nothing. No class change, no special skill. NOTHING!!!!
I even lost a level!!
Now I can't even level up until I complete this stupid inheritance."
Ryujin was flustered,
"How is that possible? The previous candidates simply fainted when they failed.
I have never heard of Inheritance Orb having such big penalties."
Kiel blew his top:
"And how many Inheritance Orbs are you familiar with?"
Ryujin bowed and profusely apologized.
"One. This one. I was careless. How unbecoming of me, perhaps the orb had malfunctioned. After all, it had been decades."
Kiel got up after staring at the Dojo Master for a while, he felt something was not right. Kiel was about to speak when Ryujin continued:
"It is strange that you did not gain anything. The class change will be free and let me teach you this skill I personally created as an apology."
Ryujin then performed his special skill in front of Kiel.
Kiel was first stunned then temporarily forgot about the issue of not being able to level up at the prospects of gaining an (S) rated skill.
He would worry about the level up later..

Ryujin spent the whole day explaining how to use the skill, the body movement, and its mana operation.
The skill was really hard to master. Unlike learning from Skill Orb or Skill pages. This took much longer as one needed to really understand every aspect of the skill before completely mastering it.
Kiel did not leave the Dojo for the next 3 weeks. After painstaking effort, he finally managed to learn the S ranked skill. Meanwhile, he also learned another 3 of the skills he got from the City Treasury and leveled up his swordsman skills while he practiced in the Dojo.
