Kiel thought he would immediately obtain the class, but it looks like he had to get the sword first.
After which, Kiel called Thorgen over.
Thorgen now looks like he was in his 70s.
Seeing Thorgen had arrived, Kiel did not waste much words and immediately walked up to the sword and attempted to pull it out.
Realizing what happened, Thorgen was excited and was filled with anticipation. He could smell freedom.
Sadly, the sword did not budge.
Thorgen blew his top and rushed over to kick Kiel's ass. Thinking it was a cruel joke.
Kiel was indignant, he was puzzled why he had failed.
Cursing at the old man, he explained he had learned all 8 skills and had even leveled them up.
It shouldn't be that the sword won't register because his skill rating was higher than required right?
Now it was Thorgen's turn to be surprised.
"That should not be the case, I think..."
Both of them looked at each other at a loss on what to say and do…
"Let me try something else."
Kiel replied feeling upset and wronged.
Kiel went crazy and triggered all the active skills engraved on the Rock Wall.
Suddenly, he felt a surge of mana coming from the sword, it gave a loud ring and immediately loosen itself from the rock.
He heard the system prompt:
"All conditions Cleared!!

Kiel was stunned reading the overpowered hidden class stat and skills.
Obtained class specific item:
Novice SwordMage Blade(E)(Growth type):

THIS IS GODLIKE!!!! WOOOT!!!
Wait, what the hell does the skills do ???
WHAT'S WITH THE LAZY DESCRIPTIONS!!!!
Anyways he had hit the jackpot. He had finally made it this lifetime.
The shortsword was made of beautiful glowing dull blue metal and decorated with gems.
It was a very beautiful but at the same time a flashy sword.
Kiel eagerly casted "Mana Sword (C) and slashed the sword against the rock it was mounted on.
The rock was cut to two pieces like tofu.
"How did you do that???"
Thorgen gawked, green with envy.
"I coat the blades with mana, a skill I obtained when I gained the SwordMage hidden class."
Kiel calmly replied.
Thorgen, sighed, you can see relief on his face.
Kiel seemed to realize the cause of the relief. It wasn't that Thorgen didn't try, he simply could not.
Smiling, Kiel looked at Thorgen and said:
"Wanna go out?"
Smiling, both of them walked to the entrance of the valley and stood before the mana barrier.
Moment of truth.
Kiel and Thorgen looked at each other nervously then Thorgen nodded.
Kiel pulled out the bejeweled shortsword, coated it with mana and after that, Kiel lifted the sword in front of him and made a cut.
The mana barrier was split apart effortlessly.
Kiel proceeded to cut a large door and as soon as the door was cut off. The whole mana barrier trembled and shattered into a shower of sparkles.
After that there was a loud rumble and the valley seemed to collapse on its own.
Wasting no time, Kiel and Thorgen immediately ran out and reached the edge of the cliff.
Before them, the vast expanse of the grassland and the trees below was spread majestically before them.
"I, THORGEN ANGVIL, AM FREEE!!!!!"
Kiel could see tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Thank you…"
Thorgen whispered.
"You're welcome Sir! Let's go!!"
They both began to hurry down the cliffs as the entrance rumbled and started to be covered with the rock debris sealing it permanently.
The climb down was treacherous and before long, they reached the bottom.
Both men couldn't say a word. They were happy they made it out but they are also griefing that Thorgen's time was coming to an end.
When the sun sets on the third day, this will all end.
Thorgen had insisted on heading to the city but Kiel knew that they would not make it in time.
3 days was barely enough to reach the mountain pass, let alone the city.
He knew Thorgen was worried about the Orcs Kiel had mentioned previously but Kiel did not care.
He wanted to make sure that the last 3 days of Thorgen's life would be the best he ever had.
They first set up a basic camp and had fire going on. Afterwards both of them spent the whole afternoon hunting together for boars.
After an afternoon of effort they only managed to get a few fowls and some rabbits. There were no traces or wild boars.
Just after they finished the fowls and rabbits, a wild boar wandered towards them.
Kiel and Thorgen looked at each other full of amusement.
Casting " Instant Step(S)" Kiel appeared behind the boar stab at its neck, killing it instantly.
Later that evening they had bountiful roasted meat and plentiful wines.
Kiel's regret was that he did not have any condiments and that he was not a better cook.
Regardless Thorgen ate with relish. Glistening fat was dripping down his white beard.
Kiel's wine reserve was running low but it was still more than enough to last 3 days of heavy drinking.
The second day, they spent the whole day fishing at a lake they found nearby.
The day was very relaxing and enjoyable.
Two men enjoying quiet fishing and unlimited wine.
But it was obvious that Thorgen was getting weaker and weaker.
That evening the frail Thorgen called Kiel over. He then took off his necklace and passed it to Kiel.
"A small memento to remember me. I will die and I want you to have this. It will be useful to you."
"Thank you for accompanying me. Seeing you getting the inheritance, I have no regrets."
Kiel respectfully received it, and he looked at the stat
"Hermit's Necklace (C)(Growth)
+ 5 to all stat
5 mana every 10 minutes
Five health every 10 minutes"
The necklace was awesome, way better than what he had but he felt empty.
He silently took off his current "Necklace of Meditation(C)" and kept it in his ring
With that Thorgen turned around and went to sleep.
That night the Skill Page cooldown refreshed, he looked at the left over skill Pages and learned:
"Superior Balance(D): Superior Balance"
The next morning, Thorgen got really weak, he looked like a man in his 90s.
He could barely walk. Even standing left him panting.
It was painful to see but Kiel pretended nothing was wrong. Both men chose to ignore Thorgen's worsening condition.
Breakfast was light with some fruits and berries he found around the lakes.
Thorgen then told Kiel he wanted to eat some duck and squirrel meat today. He said he wanted to remember the good old days when he was young.
He used to hunt for the little games when he was a kid. He used to catch ducks and squirrels then grilling them on open fire stuffed with berries and fruits.
Kiel faithfully spent the whole morning hunting ducks. By lunch time, he had 6 roasted ducks stuffed with wild berries for Thorgen.
Kiel barely ate, his mood was heavy and everything tasted bland to him.
After lunch, Kiel added more dry wood to the bonfire to keep the fire going. He wanted to keep Thorgen warm in the cold weather in his last moments.
No matter what, he will fulfill everyone of Thorgen's last desires. The sun was going to set in a few hours. He didn't have much time left so he rushed out to get what Thorgen wanted.
After catching about 8 squirrels. Kiel rushed back to the camp, not wanting to waste any more time.
As he approached the camp, he heard a commotion.
Fearing for the worst, he rushed to the camp.
Just as the camp came into view, Kiel saw Thorgen leaning against a tree with a sword in his right hand.
In front of him were two Orc Hunters.
