8 Orcs left, 7 Orc Hunters and 1 Elite Orc Hunter standing between him and Thorgen.
Kiel was unfazed. He knew he didn't have to worry about Thorgen.
The Orcs either disdained using hostages or were too dumb to do so.
Rushing in, Kiel knew he had used up his trump card, now he had to fight with all he had to survive.
As he dashed to the left, he casted "Instant Step(S)" and appeared behind the back of the 2 Orcs on the right. With a slash of both weapons, he decapitated both Orcs.
"Orc Hunter killed, 80 experience gained."

Without missing a beat, he casted "Vine Whip(D)" around him to entangle everyone.
Quickly rushing forward, he slashed at the neck of 2 more Orcs and managed to escape with another 2 easy kills.

Kiel then dashed forward at another Orc who was turning to stab through the side of its chest cavity and destroyed its heart.
"Orc Hunter killed, 80 experience gained."
Using "Basic Electric Shock(D)" he disrupted the movements of the Orc on his left who was about to slash down and stab through its throat instead.
"Orc Hunter killed, 80 experience gained."
1 Orc Hunter and 1 Elite Orc Hunter left.
Glancing at his status window he noted that he had 21 mana points left.
The Elite Orc Hunter started to feel the threat. He had the Orc Hunter with a spear to flank Kiel.
The visual impact of a 3 meter Orc Hunter and a 4.5m tall Elite Orc Hunter bearing down on him would make a lesser man pissed their pants.
With a loud growl, both Orcs started to attack him wildly, one used a spear and the other used a giant cleaver.
In just a few seconds, he received a wound to his leg. Through blind luck, both regeneration from the "Hermit's Necklace(C)* and "Novice SwordMage Blade(E)* ticked:

He had 31 mana points.
Kiel always kept enough spare mana to cast "Instant Step(S)" in case he needed to get away.
2 minutes.
He casted "Instant Step(S)" appearing on the blind side of the last Orc Hunter then he thrust up with his sword.
Kiel's "Standard Miao Dao"(D) stabbed into the Orc chest where it's heart was.
"Orc Hunter killed, 80 experience gained."
Before he managed to pull out his sword, the 5 meter tall Elite Orc Hunter squatted and did a whirlwind slash and sliced the Orc Hunter in half, along with his "Standard Miao Dao(F)" that was still stuck inside the corpse.
Kiel desperately ducked, the cleaver had sheared some of his long hairs off.
The Elite Orc Hunter eyes were red. It had entered a "Berserk" state.
It grew more muscular, faster, stronger and became 5 meters tall.
Its reach was longer, its movement became more erratic and faster.
Things were going south real fast.
Kiel had severely overestimated himself too much.
His accomplishments on level one Hell Clear and his fast power up had made him careless and underestimate the difficulty of common monsters.
Him getting the "Hidden Class: SwordMage" had also made him complacent and proud.
He had forgotten he was only level 11.
Now he might have to retire early with a basic clear.
As he was scrambling to dodge the berserking Elite Orc Hunter, he heard a loud explosion.
BOOM!!
instinctively he knew it was Thorgen's handiwork.
He had suffered enough of his fireblast that he knew what it was just by hearing and feeling it with his "Extreme Mana Sense(S).
The Elite Orc Hunter turned around and looked at Thorgen.
With a roar, it lunged at the dying old man lying against a big rock.
Both of them have no delusion that they had any chance of running away.
It's Kill or Die.
All Thorgen could do was to buy Kiel some moment to find an opening.
Kiel saw Thorgen and yelled.
"I got 1 more step!!"
Thorgen nodded and hollered
"NOW!!!"
Kiel 'felt' Thorgen casted "Basic Electric Shock(D)" with his "Extreme Mana Sense(S)" and "Sixth Sense(C)".
Kiel didn't think much and casted "Instant Step(S)" and arrived under the lunging Orc then drove his blade upwards with all his might.
The blade stabbed through its neck and cut down the chest down to its belly.
The innards of the big Orc spilled onto him, the nauseating smell was overbearing.
He was covered in green Orc blood.
"Elite Orc Hunter killed, 250 experience gained."
Kiel struggled out from under the massive dead Orc and hurriedly turned to check on Thorgen's condition.
He was anxious, it must have taken everything for the old man to cast those two spells.
The first thing he saw was the massive cleaver that had stuck to the rocks.
It had cut into the rock halfway and the edge of the blade stopped just 5 cm from Thorgen's neck.
1 minute 30 seconds.
Thorgen saw Kiel's ugly mug and laughed so hard he was clutching his belly with his left hand.
Kiel looked at himself and joined as he looked completely absurd with green innards and green blood.
It was by sheer luck they had survived and the assault would be a grand tale to tell.
Both of them continued to laugh and In fact they laughed so hard he ended up coughing and breathless.
1 minute.
Kiel was exhausted, he crawled to lean next to Thorgen and offered him wine.
Both of them took a big gulp. The feeling of the liquor burning down his throat to his gut made Kiel feel so alive.
30 seconds.
They sat there in silence cherishing the last moments they had together.
"I did not regret my life….
Killing that necromancer….
Obtaining that Orb and using it…
Meeting the love of my life….
Accompanying her through her last moments…
Watching you obtain my bloodline...
Then seeing the process of you becoming a SwordMage…
Watching SwordMage battle prowess….
