Max was about to log out of the game when he accidentally touched a strange symbol on the system panel. It asked him if he wanted to travel back to planet Earth. He was puzzled by this option. He thought that if he clicked that button, he would be forever sent back to Earth and lose his chance to live in the fantasy world that he had been transported to.
But he was also curious about what would happen. He decided to take the risk and clicked the okay button. Suddenly, he found himself back in his room. He looked around and saw that everything was normal. He wondered if he had been dreaming or hallucinating. He thought that maybe he had been drunk and it was all a lie.
But then he heard the familiar voice of the system, saying that he had successfully returned to planet Earth. He was shocked and relieved at the same time. He checked his system panel and saw a button that said "log in to the fantasy world". He clicked it eagerly and was instantly transported back to the fantasy world, on the carriage that he had been riding. He was overjoyed and excited. He realized that he could travel between the two worlds at will. He decided to make use of this opportunity. He went back to Earth and took some loans from the bank. He bought various things that he thought would be valuable or useful in the fantasy world, such as glasses, salt, and canned foods.
He stored them in his subspace, which was an infinite storage space that he had acquired from the system. He planned to sell them in the fantasy world and make a fortune. He was ready for his next adventure.
Max had spent all the money he had borrowed from the bank on various items that he thought would be rare and valuable in the fantasy world. He transported himself back to the other world, carrying his loot in his subspace. He was still on the carriage that he had boarded earlier, along with a dwarf merchant and some other travelers.
He decided to show the dwarf some of the items that he had brought back, such as the glass that he had bought from the sale. The dwarf was amazed by the glass. He had never seen anything like it before. His eyes sparkled and shone like the glass itself. He asked Max how much he wanted for it.
Max checked his system panel. It showed that he could sell the glass for one silver coin. Max decided to mark up the price a bit, but he also offered a discount if the dwarf bought more. He said that he would sell one glass for two silvers, but if the dwarf bought a whole set of ten, he would sell it for one silver and fifty coppers each. The dwarf thought that it was a good deal and agreed to buy the whole set. Max was happy with his first sale. He slowly started showing more items to the other merchants who were traveling with him.
He had things like salt, canned foods, matches, soap, and other things that were common on Earth, but rare or unknown in the fantasy world. He sold them at a high price, but not too high to arouse suspicion. He slowly accumulated wealth. His system panel showed his wealth, which had reached one gold coin. Even the other travelers were shocked by the items that he had brought back from his planet. They did not know about the system and that Max could travel between the worlds. Max realized that if he tried to sell all his stuff in a big market, he would attract too much attention and possibly trouble. He decided to sell his items one by one, in different places, and at different times. He planned to make this his way of earning money and getting rich in both worlds.
After a long journey, they finally reached their destination. It was a small city named Sky City. Although it was a small city, it had a great origin. It was said that a tribe of flying humans lived there thousands of years ago. It was a city that was neither too big nor too small, but it had one special feature. It had a dungeon in it. A dungeon was a place where monsters would respawn after a week.
It could be considered as a money-making machine, but it was also a dangerous place. People had to keep clearing it again and again to prevent the monsters from overflowing. The world had a concept of adventurers who would take money for their jobs. They would hunt monsters in the dungeon and outside of it, in the great forest of evil. The body parts of the monsters were a valuable source of materials. That was the reason why the dwarf was traveling with them. The dwarf was excited as he was a blacksmith and wanted to see what types of monsters were in this dungeon. Max asked him what he meant by that.
The dwarf explained that there were different types of monsters in every dungeon. Some of them were unique to that dungeon, and some of them could be tamed. He pointed to the horse-like creature that they were riding on. It was called a horpis. It was a special creature of a dungeon that was tamed by a monster tamer. Max learned about various types of jobs and classes and different guilds, such as the merchant guild, the adventurer guild, the wizard guild, and the blacksmith guild. Hearing those words gave him a nice idea. He realized that the fantasy world did not have the same level of economic and modern knowledge as his planet Earth.
They did not have the same systems and customs as his planet. He thought that he could make a fortune if he tried to apply the economic and modern knowledge from his planet to this fantasy world. He had various thoughts in his mind and many brilliant ideas that he could adapt from his planet. He also thought of selling some things from the fantasy world to his own planet Earth. He thought that he could sell the goat's fur and other cloth materials from this world, as they were unique. He thought that the clothes in this world were considered to be expensive in his own planet Earth. And even the normal clothes in his planet Earth could be considered as high-quality materials in this fantasy world. He knew that with the help of his system and the ability to travel between the worlds, he could make a huge profit.
As he entered the city, he heard sounds of fighting. As the carriage stopped, he was shocked by what he saw outside....
