Lana and Blake showed Mystic around the mansion and the gardens. As they headed back towards the main entrance, they passed by the training grounds where Magus and Mannen were working on their swordsmanship. Mystic stopped, causing Lana and Blake to pause in their steps as well. Her sapphire dress lightly blew in the soft breeze and her long deep purple eyes strained to what they were doing.
Both of her brothers were using wooden swords instead of real ones. Mystic watched as they kept getting snapped at by the instructor causing her to show her Midnight raised brow.
"My lady, we should head back to the mansion. The master will be worried," Lana said as Mystic continued to watch her brothers. As Mystic watched she could see that the instructor wasn't really teaching her brothers what they would really need to learn, in order to be great knights.
"Blake, Lana? Is there any harm in watching my newfound brother's spar?" She asked them as she walked closer. Silently walking towards the sparing session, Mystic went to the outer ring of the stadium. Neither one of them noticed that she was there.
"Guest are not allowed to spectate!" Yelled their instructor towards me, causing both of my brothers to flinch and look towards me.
"Instructor Jace, that's our-" Mannen started to say but was cut off.
"I don't care who she is, she needs to leave!" He yelled at my brother.
"Watch your tone when speaking to my children, Jace!" Their father snapped at him from behind Mystic.
"I was just trying to tell the Lady to leave, as this is a private lesson for your children, Archduke Midnight," he replied with a bow.
"My daughter is allowed to watch her brothers, you are in the wrong for yelling at her, but because no one has been informed yet of her arrival, I will let it pass this one time. Next time I will not be so lenient." Father informed him.
"Daughter?" Jace asked as his complexion went from red to pale white. His muscles looked like they shrunk into themself, causing him to look sickly. "I'm sorry for causing a scene in front of you, my lady. It won't happen again."
"Just some advice, Instructor Jace. Mannen would do well with a thin blade, and Magus would do well with a broad sword, then pair them off with other knights of the same blade." Mystic said and walked away with a swish of her skirt.
Looking back, Mystic noticed that her father was still talking to the instructor and continued to walk back to the mansion. Lana and Blake followed from behind her. Upon reaching the main door, Mystic saw a few guards talking to a man with Black hair, blue eyes, tall and muscled build. Upon closer inspection of the royal crest upon his jacket. He must have been the prince, but she did not know his name.
Turning around to Lana and Blake for help, Mystic cringed when one of the guards pointed her out by saying 'Lady Mystic'. Turning back around, Mystic looked eye to eye with the prince, and curtsied slightly to show respect.
"Hello, your highness," Mystic said to the prince.
"Hello, my lady, I am looking for Magus and Mannen." He said as he walked closer to her.
"They are in the training hall."
"Hmm, and what is your name?" He asked as he stepped closer towards her until he was only a foot away.
"Mystic, your highness." Mystic replied as she stood up and gasped at his closeness.
"Well, Lady Mystic, I hope to see you around." He replied as he took her hand and kissed the back of it, and then walked away, heading in the way she had just left.
Her hand still tingling where he had kissed it, making Mystic feel unnerved. Moving towards the door, the guards opened it for her, and let her into the mansion that was now her home. As she entered, her maids were waiting at the bottom of the staircase. Mystic thanked Lana and Blake and proceeded to head to her room with her maids.
After entering her room, Mystic flopped onto her bed with a sigh, and just thought about everything that has been happening lately. She let out a deep sigh and proceeded to sit back up and leave her bed and then walked over to her vanity.
'Knock, knock'
"Come in!" Mystic said as she sat down at her temporary vanity.
"My Lady, your new room is ready, if you will follow me. I will show you how to get to the Sapphire Room." Lana said as she walked into the room.
"That was quickly done." Mystic said as she stood up and then walked towards Lana who bowed slightly and then walked back out the door.
"We wanted to hurry so that our Lady could be more comfortable in her true home." Lana told her as they went down the hall to the staircase and went up to the third floor.
Upon entering the third floor, a few maids that were in front of the door bowed to her and two opened the doors to the room she would be living in. As she entered the room, she noticed that everything was Sapphire except the white and gold furniture that was scattered around the room. As she walked around, she noticed that the ceiling had a large set of Sapphire gems that were made into a crescent moon.
"You all have done a great job, thank you for your fast work and dedication to getting my permanent room done, so I feel like I truly belong." Mystic said to all the maids who were standing in the doorway, anxiously waiting for her to say something about the room. They all smiled and bowed to her then three out of the five stayed, her maids Tilly, Amanda, and Layla.
"My lady! We are so happy that you love the room!" Layla said, Tilly and Amanda beamed as they nodded their heads.
Tilly and Amanda walked over to the wardrobe and pulled out a sapphire dress that had gold and silver moons on it, tiny crystals were in the center of each star, with a mesh skirt over the long skirt, giving it a night sky effect. The dress looked so expensive that Mystic was afraid to touch it.
"This will be your coming-of-age ceremony dress!" Tilly said enthusiastically.
"Coming-of-age ceremony?" Mystic asked dumbfounded. She had no clue what that was all about, but it sounded like a lot of work.
"It's where they celebrate you becoming an adult! You dance, eat, and drink the night away!" Amanda said and then ended with a sigh.
"Oh? Well, my eighteenth birthday was two weeks ago, when is this coming-of-age ceremony supposed to happen?" Mystic asked with a slight smile.
"Oh, dear me. You have it on your eighteenth birthday, so we will talk to your father and try to situate it for next weekend. We need to invite the Royal family after you have your first visit to the Palace, Duke Lindol and his family, and a few other families that are loyal to the crown and your father." Layla said as she started to walk away in her own little bubble of planning.
"Wait! I must visit the Palace?" Mystic said with panic lacing her words. She has never stepped anywhere near the palace and didn't want to even think about what this would mean for me.
"My Lady, you must if your father is to put you on the family registry. The King and Queen and even the Prime Minister must be there to see that the test is valid before you can be put on the family registry," Layla explained to her.
"Oh, I didn't realize it was that big of a deal." Mystic said as she looked into the mirror at her vanity. It was the same as the rest of the room. Sapphire, Gold, and Silver.
"Of course, it is, My Lady. You are to be the third most important Lady in all of Eldora! The Queen, Princess, and then you. The Duchess of Lindol and Midnight passed months away between each other. The Duke of Lindol never took another wife and only has twin sons, Abel and Axel." Amanda told her as Layla bowed and walked out of the room to inform her father that her party must be held soon and a visit to the Palace was a must.
"Well, I will need to be taught imperial etiquette, make sure my ball dancing skills are still in tacked, and make sure not to embarrass Father nor my brothers." Mystic sighed as Tilly released her hair from its thick braid.
"Already done, My Lady!" Layla said as she appeared back into her room.
"Great," Mystic fake smiled and looked back to the mirror as her maids got her ready for dinner and prepared for her bedtime in advanced.
