The discussion about Aerine began, and it wasn't showing signs of stopping anytime soon. The moment that the netizen's attention was caught, they already started to become interested.
Aerine's social media account was then unearthed. It also wasn't difficult to find out, as the account of Voice Arena had shared her post as well and followed her.
After the interested netizens found her account, the majority of them were surprised to see how empty it was and that the account was only created recently.
And Aerine's account gained followers in an instant. While it wasn't exaggerated, she still gained ten thousand followers, and it would only grow with time.
Some were also enchanted by Aerine's appearance alone; her profile picture had become a trending topic and was shared thousands of times.
While the entertainment industry had no shortage of good-looking people, and one could see them everywhere, it was much harder to look for a celebrity whose appearance stood out from others by a large margin.
Aerine's appearance was such a case. It was as if there was a different charm around her, which gradually lured those people looking at her to be captivated.
And if Aerine were asked... Perhaps there was. Aerine's innate abilities extend not only to her singing skills but also to some of the charms that the siren possessed.
The folklore around sirens was not all incorrect. In a sense, sirens could enamore and lure anyone with their soulful voice and appearance.
Although Aerine had not deliberately showcased it, it was still part of her. And when Elise had considered her job, the entertainment industry seemed to be a perfect fit for her because of this.
The night passed, and the discussion seemed to fade slightly, but it was only waiting until the Voice Arena was released.
Aerine had woken up the next day feeling refreshed; at least she didn't need to wake up at the crack of dawn. And there weren't any practices today.
The first thing she did was prepare and bathe as she would when visiting someone. She also only heated up the left-overs last night and made some toasts for herself.
While eating, she thought of checking her account, as Mils advised her to get used to using this app as much as possible. She would be doing more promotional posts and making connections with her future fans on this platform, and that was so important.
Aerine didn't have many expectations as she leisurely chewed on her phone while holding it.
And that was such a mistake! Aerine's eyes dramatically widened, and she almost choked when she looked at her account, which seemed to have become unfamiliar overnight.
Aerine had to drink some water to relieve the uncomfortable feeling in her throat.
"What... happened?" Aerine muttered in complete disbelief. How could she gain over 20 thousand followers in just one night?
Was someone kidding her? Aerine had thought that some 'trolls' visited her. Or perhaps they were only those fake accounts, but she was sure she didn't purchase anything, nor did Mils.
Aerine was against it from the start, as it was merely an illusion, and she wanted a genuine follower from the start. Even if she could earn slowly at the start, at least she didn't deceive herself or anyone.
She browsed her account, which seemed not to be hers, and she also began to read the replies in her post. Slowly, an enlightenment dawned on her after getting what caused all of this.
So, it turns out... That small clip seemed to be more of a big deal than she thought. Perhaps it was only natural as she was a new face; therefore, the netizens were curious about her.
Reading the comments, Aerine's lips subconsciously lifted, and so did her mood. There were a lot of people praising her voice, and her talent was becoming recognized; of course, some also only focused on her appearance.
Aerine had actually expected it as much, but not this much. At first, she was also anxious about the viewer's impression of her. To be able to grow and make a name for herself in this industry, one not only needed the talent but more of the recognition of the masses and fans, for that matter.
In a way, Aerine had already known from the start that this industry was never an easy career path. For someone who had never even lived in the human world for long to suddenly be in the spotlight, Aerine had to work harder to adapt to a lot of things at once.
And now, reading the comments, especially those praising her voice, gave her an unfamiliar sensation, but she liked it. It was as if her efforts were really worth it.
So, while reading them, Aerine couldn't help but like most of the comments. She had no reservations about doing this, as even Mils didn't discuss it.
She also replied to some and gave her thanks all through it. She only stopped when she finished her breakfast. Aerine thought that social media wasn't that boring after all.
Of course, she knew that not anyone would like and praise her; fortunately, her mentality about that was open, and she already prepared herself for future negative comments.
Aerine then began to move and went on with her plan for the day.
[I'm downstairs.]
It was from Mils. Aerine read them and was slightly surprised by a simple message. Usually, Mils would send some emojis or have longer sentences with them.
Oh well, everyone had bad days. Aerine didn't think too much, and she hurried up.
Descending to the parking lot, Aerine didn't take too long to see Mils' car. Instantly, a bright smile appeared on her lips as she approached her friend.
However, slowly, confusion filled her eyes. Aerine stopped in her tracks and looked at Mils, who was standing outside of the car, and she seemed strange.
Mils had seen Mils excited, happy, and even angry. However, it was her first time seeing the woman pacing out, and she looked so uncomfortable for some reason.
"M---" Aerine was about to greet her, but Mils beat her to it. Once Mils saw her, Aerine seemed to see her eyes lit up as though her savior had come.
"You're finally here..." Mils held Aerine's hand, her voice though low and almost a whisper; the enthusiasm couldn't be concealed within.
With this behavior, Aerine's confusion only grew deeper.
"What's happe... ning..." Aerine trailed off, her expression slowly turning to one of surprise after she glanced at the window of the backseat, which was rolled down.
And there, someone met her eyes. It was a familiar gaze.
Aerine couldn't quite believe it and glanced at Mils, who seemed afraid to glance at her side, before she shifted it back to the person sitting in the car.
"Why are you here, Lucian?" Aerine inquired almost casually, despite her surprise.
And she swore, she felt Mils flinched and almost shudder at her side.
