Chapter 27 - Two Days Before Live (2)

When she saw the trailer while browsing on her account, Aerine immediately shared it. She also added her own caption, which was specifically instructed by Mils.

[@AerineLee: Please come and support me and my journey in Voice Arena. (heart) /@VoiceArenaOfc: Here are the sixteen contestants to bring the fire to the Voice Arena Stages. (Video)/]

It was simple, and Aerine didn't see any need to add any more than that. After all, her account was new, with barely any followers—only her friend and manager. Although Mils did say that it was best for Aerine to show some persona in it, Aerine didn't quite get it.

At first, she didn't see any use in why she also had to share the post; the purpose of it was to promote their own followers and gain their audiences. Aerine felt bad that she didn't contribute much.

Still, she wasn't that immersed in it either. Aerine also decided to watch the five-minute video, as she was also quite curious about it.

Aerine played the video and focused her attention on the screen.

The video started with some instrumentals and the intro of Voice Arena with Gerard, the host, introducing the show. And next were the snippets from the vacation that the groups experienced. There was a mostly funny and relaxing vibe to it, and when the familiar scene came in the video, Aerine couldn't help but remember what happened.

What the staff included was that particular scene where all of them sang while falling in the sand dunes, but all of them managed to eat the sand in the end. From a viewer's perspective, it must be really funny.

Aerine could only sigh that something really could be like that; only those aware could see the story behind it.

The first half of the trailer was rather filled with happy moments, and the second half arrived at the scenes of the practice rooms, where they all practiced so hard. Some clips also offered snippets of arguments, of course.

Aerine knew that Divine and Ronald would definitely not be left out. Even if their approach toward each other had become milder, it wasn't that they weren't arguing either.

What surprised her, though, was Blythe's group. In the five-minute trailer, their group actually had most of the screen time, which really shows how Blythe's popularity was included in the equation of promoting the show.

The one with the most intense cliffhanger was the argument in Blythe's group, with Blythe even walking out with tears in her eyes. Aerine's brow really did shoot up in that one particular scene.

Aerine couldn't see Blythe like that since she seemed not to be the type to cry in arguments or be defeated by others. Although she had not known her for long, Aerine could discern Blythe to be more of the unpredictable type, and her thoughts seemed complicated.

At the end of it, Aerine's eyes widened slightly as she looked at the screen.

A woman was sitting on the ground while leaning on the wall. She was singing a song in acapella while her eyes were closed. After singing the last words, her eyes opened instantly, and she made eye contact with the camera.

There was a slight surprise in her eyes, but slowly, a bright smile arched into her lips. The video ended there.

The woman was Aerine. It was her.

Aerine blinked, not quite believing that she was at the end of the video. She was, after all, a complete newbie. She never expected that a solo clip of her would be included in the trailer, much less at the ending.

She remembered the day of this clip. Their group had only finished a session, and Aerine didn't come with the three to the dining area. And so, Aerine sang at the corner, and she didn't even know someone was watching her or filming her.

And so when she opened her eyes, she was surprised that one staff member was there and a camera was focusing on her, but she also smiled after and thought it was an unexpected yet funny experience.

After watching the video and recovering from her surprise, Aerine exited the app. Her account was empty, and it was boring to browse anything. Being someone who grew up without an internet in this era, Aerine was one of the rare few who could dare claim to have survived without an internet.

Yawning, Aerine stood up and walked to her room. She decided to go to sleep early. These past few days, it has been rare for her to have a good night's sleep.

As for tomorrow, she also had some plans on how to spend her day off.

And while Aerine was preparing to sleep without bothering to read the comments, the netizens were still fully awake, and the trailer for Voice Arena instantly became trending.

The Voice Arena was already popular without even being released, thanks to its show layout and the station it would be airing on. And so everything about it would immediately become trending and talked about by the netizens.

The anticipated show became louder after this trailer, and there were thousands of comments and shares already from their post alone.

It could be seen, however, that the most liked comments were from fans of already-debuted singers like Blythe. That was to be expected, and no one was surprised.

Some fans even become angry after seeing Blythe crying in the trailer, which already reached the intention of the production team. Any noise was a promotion.

However, the fans aside, there were still pure passersby who were only there to troll, gossip, or the loyal audience of the station.

A certain topic was slowly growing among these people, and it centered around a woman at the end of the video.

[Wait, am I the only one who noticed the beautiful woman at the end???]

-Don't worry! You're not the only one!

[Who is the woman at the end?]

[Can anyone tell me the name of the woman at the end? Her voice is so good!]

-I think it's Aerine Lee? I looked it up on the official site.

[OMG!!! How can someone be so beautiful with that kind of voice as well? Damn, I must be finally hearing the angel sing!]

-Seriously, you're so spot on!

-She is an angel!

-I want to hear her sing live! I'll be buying the tickets!

-Me too! See you there, everyone!

Unbeknownst to Aerine herself or even the production staff of the show itself, the greater reaction to the trailer was centered on the newbie instead. And most of the discussions were about her face and voice. With these two combinations, the attention of the netizens was piqued!

The staff who added that scene in the end would undeniably be given a raise.
