R: Sylvia Werner.
L: Marcus, Ethan.
~
Narration: Marcus and Sylvia had visited a number of twenty-six stores before Marcus had decided that they had gotten enough. They turned the car and headed straight for Sylvia's home.
Sylvia: So you still decided that you would take me to all the shoe and accessories store in this part of New York.
Marcus: What can I say? I am a man of my word.
Sylvia: Sadly, it had to be a very unnecessary word that you had fulfilled.
Marcus: Don't get too cranky. It will ruin your face for the official dinner at my place and I had invited a couple of my friends.
Sylvia: No thanks for caring.
Marcus: But remind me why we have to go to your place before I take you to mine.
Narration: Sylvia rolled her eyes in her head and turned to Marcus.
Sylvia: You don't actually expect me to carry all these to your place and drop them there before I even move in. I will have to pack in and then you come get me tomorrow.
Marcus: You know that dropping it at my place would do no harm.
Sylvia: Another statement of irrelevance. It may do no harm but it is inappropriate.
Marcus: Okay, if you so much insist but, I hope you won't waste time. My place is almost at the other end of New York.
Sylvia: I don't in tend to, it's just to drop a couple of bags in my room and walk out, what is time-wasting in that?
Narration: Marcus shrugs.
Marcus: I was just trying to make a point.
Sylvia: Another of irrelevance.
Marcus: You realize that if you and I are to go out for a gala or something, you may actually be mistaken for my sister or my wife.
Sylvia: Hell no, why in heavens name would anyone think me your sister not to talk more of being your wife.
Marcus: You don't have to make it seem like it is dreadful. It is actually a nice notion.
Sylvia: Well, not from this angle.
Marcus: Well, if you dread an idea of that sort to come into light, I suggest you actually try to mend your attitude towards me when you finally become my Personal Assistant.
Sylvia: if you are trying to get a softer attitude from me towards you, then I would happily risk a rumor like that coming into light.
Marcus: You are really a tough specimen, aren't you?
Sylvia: I am not a test subject to be called a specimen now stop the car.
Marcus: And why would I do that?
Sylvia: I don't know, maybe because you passed my house by ten blocks.
Marcus: And you couldn't be more gentle in relaying something like that to me?
Sylvia: Well, nothing in you speaks gentle, so why would I be?
Sylvia: Wow, someone has been doing their homework on their boss.
Sylvia: Nope, it is just your most obvious character.
Narration: Marcus turned the car round and drove up to Sylvia's house. He parked and Sylvia jumped out of the car. She grabbed the bags and walked up to the front door and opened it. She looked back at Marcus who relaxed against the car.
Sylvia: You are not coming in?
Marcus: Well, when I was here, you were not eager on me to enter and I don't think that your brother will be keen on seeing me inside either.
Sylvia: normally, I would ask you not to be silly that my brother isn't home but I don't care anymore.
Narration: Sylvia walked into the house and climbed straight to her room. She drooped all the bags on the bed and walked out the room shutting the door behind her. she walked up to the window and stared down at Marcus then she hurriedly dressed into a black dress. She walked out of her room and ran into Ethan. She made to walk past him but he grabbed her arm.
Sylvia: What is wrong with you? Let go of me.
Ethan: Where are you off to dressed like that?
Sylvia: I don't see why that is a relevant information for you.
Ethan: You are off for you second dinner, aren't you?
Sylvia: If you already know that much, why then stop me to ask silly question?
Ethan: Sylvia, I am just looking out for you.
Sylvia: Well, don't. I believe I am already old enough to be out of your big brother radar. You 'looking out for me' got me a bad reputation with my boss who now considers me a liar after I had told him all kind if good things about you without even realizing that you are a jerk.
Ethan: I am so sorry. I want to make it up to you.
Sylvia: Ethan, right now, this is beyond making up for. You seem to have forgotten what you said to me on my official dinner and how you ruin it for me. Well, I haven't.
Ethan: Sylvia, all those things I said came out wrongly. I didn't mean them one bit.
Sylvia: you were pretty serious when you were saying it to me so I am pretty sure that you meant every single bit of it. You totally made me look like a fool yester night. I am pretty sure that Sabrina made you realize.
Ethan: I am sorry, I really am.
Sylvia: So am I for having you as a brother. I just can't wait to leave this house, at least I won't be under the same roof as you.
Ethan: Sylvia, you don't mean that, do you?
Sylvia: Down to the very last word. Now if you won't mind, I want you get the hell out of my way.
Narration: Sylvia walked past Ethan with tears on her face. She sobs as she walks to the front door. Ethan stares at her as she walked away. He growled and hits his head against the wall then he climbed the stairs. Sylvia cleans her face before opening the door. She walks up to Marcus and climbs into the car.
Marcus: Are you alright? I could hear almost everything.
Sylvia: I am fine, just drive.
Marcus: Marcus knew better than to keep talking, so he started the car and drove off.
