Maya woke up only to find Astrid sleeping by her side on a chair his head on bed she caressed his hairs with a guilty consciousness yet nostalgic. Astrid woke up rubbing his eyes he mumbled "Mother are you feeling better now?" Maya gave a half hearted smile "don't worry sweetie I am fine."
Astrid yawned looking at his mother "what happened?" Maya shook her head. "Sweetie just forgive this mother once ok?" Astrid couldn't understand first she apologized to Jinx now him what is it that she had done? Maya understood his confusion "You will know once you ask her I am sorry I don't want to talk about it" guilt is often something which is as hard to talk about as someone's past and trauma.
Astrid changed the subject not wanting to force his mother. Although throughout the subject she looked absent minded and then she asked a weird question "Astrid.... what makes a good love story?" He was baffled by this sudden topic but still tried to come up with an answer "mutual love? Happy ending? Or maybe.."
"Tragedies."
"Huh..?"
Astrid tilted his head to side with a baffled expression, Maya looked at him with an unknown emotion in her eyes was it determination? She looked at him with all seriousness "Tragedies...make good love stories and how two people who love eachother overcome them and be together that's what makes beautiful love stories which becomes fairytale told across content , from generation to generation."Astrid went quite for few seconds while Maya stared out the window.
A knock on door caught their attention the man from last night stepped inside the room. "Lord Astrid, lord Jinx has called for you." Astrid bid his mother good bye and followed behind the man aka Covy's father. "Umm...sir i think I didn't get your name last time?"
"It's Louise Roy my lord."
"Ohh...so sir Louise you seems to be working here from a long time?"
"I was with My lord when her lady ship founded this pack and built this castle, lord had saved me from the great massacre of Wolf's race and countless like me who had pledged loyalty to my lord."
Whoa! The great wolf massacre! This means this wolf probably has been with Jinx since 200 years! It was practically a race of survival of the fittest created by the newly ascended wolf god Clovis. Lot of people say he was a genocide manic practically enjoying the act of killing any creature wolf ,elf, human alike. The butler kept walking "So you might know a lot about Jinx ?" The butler smiled "My lord Astrid, No one knows anything about Lord Jinx, after all lord prefer's to stay on her own."
"You know you can stop calling me lord my name is Astrid and I am smaller in age it doesn't sound appropriate."
The butler smiled remembering about something"mortal like me can't call the name of God it is the greatest sin"
"That's so silly why would calling someone by name would be a sin?"
The Butler's eyes went wide making Astrid wonder if he said something wrong but then the most unexpected happened the old man laughed "why are you laughing? Was something I said sounded funny?" Astrid asked awkwardly.the butler cleared his throat regaining his posture.
"Nothing...my lord I just remembered something"
Astrid nodded his head and looked ahead they reached the door where Jinx was waiting few feets away talking with Covy "My lord always have been the lone wolf a heart so hard and ice cold but her mercy extends beyond the darkness she has faced but keeping a well maintained distance aloof from the world the only person she would ever show herself completely to is you Astrid. I hope you understand how much she loves you but also don't force yourself to love someone you do not owe anyone anything."
With that said he turned around and went inside leaving Astrid standing. Warm hands looped around his waist as a cold nose nuzzled against his neck making him shiver "why are you standing here? I was waiting for you?" Astrid bit his lips "Nothing. Where are we going today?"
She kissed his neck tenderly making Astrid gasp "I was wondering if you would like to take a tour of our packs territory." Astrid hummed in response.

Astrid and Jinx were traveling on one horse while Indis also had a change of heart letting Covy ride with him for the first time. Throughout the ride they passed by many fields as well lakes and ponds with small houses scattered all over everyone of them waving their hands towards their pack lord and new Luna.
Astrid was distracted though what Louise said bothered him "Astrid..."
"Hmmm?"
"your mind is somewhere else are you worried about your mother?" Astrid looked at the concerned face of Jinx he could see she was genuinely worried for him so instead of beating around the bush he asked "If I said No to being your mate what would you do?" Jinx was surprised for such a question making Astrid bite his lip in anxiety for her response.
Jinx looked at Astrid "Astrid....I love you and i only want to see you happy and safe it's your choice weather you accept to be my Luna or not i will always protect you."
Astrid felt his cheeks heat up he averted his eyes 'how could he not love someone who loves him to such extent?' i know now what to do. Thus Astrid was determined to come out clear with his feelings tonight.
While traveling Covy disappeared for some time they were passing by the lake full of spider lily flower of different colours which looked enchanting in the sunlight reflecting on the water surface. Indis and Astrid walked side by side dam as Jinx walked behind them closely. They passed by a lady who had long blue hairs but her eyes were white as clouds only a dark dot between her iris making her look blind.
"Would you like to see your fate?" The lady called Astrid stopped looking at the things layed out in front of the lady on a neat crimson silk cloth. He looked curiously at the little crystals and a big crystal ball with small charms scattered all over the things looked mysterious. Astrid stepped towards the little shop.
"Can I ask anything i want?"
The lady smiled with serenity and calmness which showed she was wise beyond her age."Anything." Indis really didn't believe in such things after all it was always better to help eachothers in need than to pray for the being of sky who rarely descended on earth either for war or their own greed! But nothing less he knows that each person is different so he didn't say anything to dampen Astrid's mood instead just stood by his side quitely observing the scene with mild curiosity.
Jinx looked at the lady for a second her gaze went hard her brow creased in mild displeasure as she stood practically glued to Astrid's back with a frown. Astrid felt something warm so he turned his head when he saw it was Jinx his ears went red he wanted to tell her to stand properly after all they are in public but the mysterious lady spoke something which piqued his attention.
"The longing that you always felt that something was always missing you will soon realise what it was. The course of destiny will take place those who overcome challenge will be given the end they deserve."
Astrid for the first time thought that indeed prophecies were given in a very obscure way pretty vague leaving one confused as they pondered all possibilities. To his suprise Jinx seems to understand it and bowed down "Mulțumesc" Jinx said something in a language neither of them knew
But the lady understood replying with a nod "Cu plăcere"
."can I ask my question?" Astrid interjected to be honest he was feeling jealous of their interaction since they talked in a language he couldn't understand coupled with the realisation that he was in love with this wolf lady chuckled as if seeing through him making him a little uncomfortable her eyes were so piercing as if they could see through him his past , present, future everything.
"Ask."
"Who was i in my last life?"
"You were always you in every life and every form the origin would never change although the circumstances and the vessel keep changing."
Astrid "....." Welp could have said she doesn't want to answer (◔‿◔)
But Astrid wasn't the one to back down
"Then who I am?"
The lady stared at him with unblinking eyes "Deus."
Astrid blinked in confusion "what?" The lady smiled "You will know who you are when you are ready and it would be very soon much earlier" this actually made sense because Jinx has told him that he would gain his memory back when do ahem! This and that~ so yes it could be definitely counted as him knowing who he is.
Astrid really didn't wanted to dilly dally anymore "How much did our fortune cost?" The lady smiled "It was your first time asking something so no cost for it." Astrid wanted to refuse after all he has worked hard to earn money so he knows well enough to not take advantage of someone who probably has less than him or for a fact take advantage of no one!
The lady picked up two little charms both were bracelet chain with swan hanging on each she gave it to Jinx "Consider it the gift of divine Nuptiae" Jinx nodded her head putting the chain around Astrid's delicate wrist and then her own. She took out a weird looking crystal which was shining silver just like her hairs and handed it to the lady who gave a smile of satisfaction.
Astrid 'guess she wanted a diamond instead of money?'
Indis was really bored at this whole event the lady only seemed like she was a fraud and even robbed this mighty lord off a crystal which looked hella expensive he snorted wanting to move on when the lady looked at him for a second her eyes went wide.
"You. "
Indis looked at her with a wth gaze "what?"
The lady kept looking at him silently, her eyes were weird making it hard for one to not feel uneasy when she stared at them unblinkingly. He was shifting foot feeling uncomfortable when she said.
"Child i advise you to look forward to signs around you universe often gives warnings ahead of time."
"Warnings? What sign? What are you talking about lady" but the lady refused to talk more. Astrid tried to lighten the mood "It was nice to meet miss..?"
"Drishti."
"Ah..miss Drishti what a fitting name for a fortune teller."
The lady nodded her head. Indis didn't want to spend anymore time"I am gonna find that dog bye" and left to search for Covy leaving behind a confused Jinx as to who the dog was referring to? Astrid sighed marely knowing full well who it was 'love Bird's ┐('～`;)┌'
Indis was hanging around the crowded stalls nearby lake having his mood completely ruined by that scammer lady he was like a raging bull roaming the streets and unfortunately the little dog was the one who collided with him. Covy unaware of the Strom approached the person he likes with flowers in hand.
"Red head look what I found!"
Indis was pissed when he heard the name red head he turned his body around ready to scold the offender when a beautiful red spider lily buch of flowers were practically shown at his face. He was dumbstruck and the offender laughed cheekily showing a gummy smile making his heart beat and forgetting he was going that he was going to beat the crap out of this person a moment ago.
"Look aren't they gorgeous!? They reminded me of you so I thought I would bring you some" when he heard it his face flushed he held the flower in his hand, Covy was excited to see his reaction but sadly instead of a cute shy flushed face smile he received a slap on his shoulder and i mean pretty nasty kind which will hurt.
"Owee! What was that for!?"
"Idiot! Don't you know flowers have their language and spider lily means parting and goodbye are you trying to break up with someone who hadn't even agreed to date you yet ?"
Covy felt a bit sad specially when he went in the lake to gather it himself although he did find it weird that no one was selling these beautiful flowers turns out they don't mean something good that's why they were being sold! He felt guilty that he made indis upset.
Indis looked at his pitiful expression and his water soked clothes 'this dumbfuck really went in the lake to gather them?' he was astonished at the tenacity of this wolf his heart softened"however I guess it's the thought that counts. They are beautiful thank you."
Covy's face lit up like fireworks! Making Indis smile, Indis hid his smile behind the bloody red flowers they were indeed so captivating but more than that the wolf grinning foolishly as if he won some huge treasure in front of him was more appealing.
