The city square was bustling as usual and Astrid guided them all to the most famous restaurant in the city where if you want to eat you would have to prebook it one week ahead it's reputation was so high that it was a frequent place to dine for the so called human nobles.
The waiter came to fetch them but seeing how ordinary clothes Astrid and Indis plus Covy are wearing he scoffed inside even the elegant dress the lady was wearing is nothing compared to the nobel ladies rich silver and gold laced adorned with jewel dresses he has served since he started working here.
He greeted them formally without even showing the basic curtsey to bow his head instead staring at them with an expressionless face making Covy clinch his jaw in angre as for Indis he already knew that these type of people will look down on someone until they know the background so he paid no heed lastly Astrid who had literally no knowledge thought that the person might be not in a good mood and didn't think much of his half hearted greetings.
Astrid smiled warmly "hello! My name is Astrid we have pre-booking here for today!" The waiter looked at them and gave a warm smile when he saw Jinx and Covy "welcome sir! Here I will guide you to your table!"Astrid and the rest followed and were guided to place full of dining tables yet the waiter did not stop there he kept walking towards the roof.
Astrid"umm... sir where is our table exactly?"
The waiter didn't look back just kept walking as he replied respectfully "My lord it's just above the rooftop " Rooftop!? Say again! That's the VIP area! My poor ass can't afford that dude no offence! (ʘᴗʘ✿)
"Umm... sir I think your mistaken i have only booking for the regular table!"
The waiter stoped glancing at him with confusion "My lord... this entire place belongs to first beast lord how can we let our owners spouse sit with commoners?" Astrid's jaw dropped he turned his head towards Jinx who had not expression on her face 'fuck! If I knew I would have just booked somewhere else ' it feels wrong to take advantage of her love and affection.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
Jinx looked puzzled "you never told me which food place you choose..." Astrid but his bottom lip in frustration "... even if you did it would be useless all the food place are entirely under my assets" Say what Now!? No wonder she is so freaking rich! Why does it feel like I got myself what those human call *sugar mommy (@_@) ⁄(⁄ ⁄•⁄-⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄.
Astrid really didn't know what to do he was hesitant after all Jinx is the first person to ever show intrest in him and even spoil him to such extent that it made him feel guilty even though he has refused her kindness but she has always been persistent making him gave up every time even the horses he sent back were returned to him saying he would need a ride until the end of their deal.
But what will happen when he rejects her? Will she get angry? No he has never seen her angry she is cold faced yet the way her eyes soften when she looks at him as if he is that warm sunlight in the Harsh winter of world It's cartain that she won't be angry rather it would leave her broken hearted which pained Astrid everytime he thought about it.
Seeing the little elf hesitating Jinx knew that this little fairy was reculant to accept a pie falling from the sky so she decided to coaxy him with her smooth words "Well...you will be still paying for the food let's consider the location change my gift to Aunty?" Indis and Maya looked at Astrid with neutral expression not denying nor accepting leaving him to make a choice.
Astrid gave a thought to this at first he wanted to refuse but a grumbling protest from his stomach stopped him everyone looked at him wide-eyed as his face flushed with embarrassment his mother giggled not leaving the chance to tease her baby"ok then let eat!" He practically sprinted towards the stairs Indis and Maya exchanged glances with a grin.
The rest followed, they were guided to the roof garden with the city veiw of bustling streets and a river bridge with few musical street performers and play happening it was quite the sight to see this all surrounded by the pleasent scent of soil and flowers it was quite splendid.
Astrid noticed that Jinx has taken a bit longer to follow them the rest 'maybe she was talking about the business with the waiter?' when she sat on the opposite side of table giving space to let his friend and mother sit on either side of him it was pretty considerate of her but it raised the question of does she not think that Indis and i could be dating or something? Why isn't she acting even a bit possessive!? And here I thought she loved me!hump!
Astrid started to sulk at her avoiding eye contact until the food was served the delicious aroma of strong spicies and chilli made his mouth water forgetting about his previous moody thoughts.

After eating food they all decided to walk down the street honestly it was Maya who wanted to roam the streets and buy things her love for shopping cannot be contained even when she forbidden Astrid from coming she would often gave money to the elf going outside to bring her makeup and things thus resulting in her dragging everyone outside for a walk!
Indis and Astrid walked side by side of Maya while Jinx and Covy followed behind "Aunty you can buy anything consider it a gift from me~" Maya slapped Indis on shoulder with a smile "ishh! You child! You see that Astrid! That's how you should treat me generously ohh goddesses vida how did I not get a sensible child like Indis "
Indis held her hand with sparkling eye's he said "Don't worry aunty! I am your child! You can even adopt me" he changed his expression to a sad one "since my own parents don't want me they would be happy to give me away " Maya's eyes teared at his acting "whahhh ! oh my poor child! Don't say that sweetie"

Astrid slowed his pace choosing to instead walk with less melodramatic people at some point Covy had left their sight, he looked at Jinx who happened to look at him at the same time making him gasp and avert his gaze to the ground "umm... what were you talking about with the waiter?"
A deep hmm voice showing the confusion sounded near him making a pleasent chill run down his spine "i noticed that you were the last one to enter the garden so I thought you might be talking some business things to him."
"No."
"Hmm?then what did you talk about?" He asked while kicking a pebble on road.
"I requested to send food with extra spice and chilli."
"Ohh! Really? So you also like spicy food?"
"No." Astrid raised his head to see Jinx's side profile the long silver haired up to her waist with those golden eyes shining in the sun her height was maybe 6ft or more so he had to tilt his neck to see her face she looked so good and breathtaking! She was indeed an dominant alpha with such good body and tall height while admiring her he asked "then why did you order it extra spicy?"
At that time those golden eyes locked into his ocean blue taking his breath away "For you." Astrid's brain started to malfunction 'for me?' how did she even know what I like? Even a full fledged detective operation won't be enough to find it since he never ate outside nor did he ever order whenever they went to eat now that she mentioned weren't all the time they ate together she always ordered the dishes he liked at that time I thought it was a mare coincidence...but how?
Jinx saw his confused face and sighed "if you want to know why don't you agree to become my mate? You will have all the answers." Astrid's face turned red when he heard that being the mate part is ok but they will have to actually mate! That's the problem! He coughed awkwardly "I think my mother is calling me I'll be right back" and just like that the little rabbit ran to the hole to hide~
Astrid's mother was too busy seeing jwellery she even asked Astrid for advice to which he gave an absent minded response of good and great , Indis caught his mood was weird so he took Astrid with an excuse to buy some sweet snacks to ask what is the matter.
"Astrid?"
"Hmm?"
"What happened? You look a little gloomy?"
Astrid knitted his brow in all seriousness "is it that apparent?"
Indis shook his head "stop beating around the bush and come to the point"
Astrid sigh knowing there is no way to hide something from this person who practically is glued to him 24/7 "well...i feel like I am just giving her a false hope" Indis frowned when he heard that 'sure Astrid is young it's his first time so he didn't realise that he had indeed fallen for her already but it's not my place to force him'
"Astrid it's never good to lead someone on just come clean with what you think talk to the beast lord because as far as I know you two are dating and she has the right to know what your feelings are about her about this relationship it involves both of you don't decide on others behalf."
Astrid stiffened for a second murmuring "that's what mother said.." Indis didn't say anything more simply walking away to buy chocolate candies and cotton candies of various flavours and colour.
Astrid stood their contemplating. When they got back Jinx and Covy were nowhere to be found "You two! Where have you been to!? See i brought such fine jwellery! Too bad my future daughter in law had to pay for it because you guys were nowhere in sight!"
Astrid wanted to Bang his head on wall he was trying to keep her favours to minimum but instead increasing it without a fail he almost pulled his hairs in frustration ಥ_ಥ
Indis sensed the mood and tried to diverge it by changing the topic "so where are they now?"
"Ohh! She said that she has some urgent matters to attend to so we can go home with the carriage she left for us."
Indis "but we have horses ┐(´д`)┌"
Maya "i told her the exact same thing~"¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Astrid "then?"
Maya "She still insisted so how could I let the chance to travel in such lavish carr- i mean how could I deny her generosity like that? (^～^;)ゞ
Astrid sighed he felt a little disappointed and sad 'but at what? because she wouldn't be sending him personally? Or that she left without saying anything to him?' he didn't know he got in the carriage looking out of the window with a dull ache in his heart. His eyes were fixed on the outside as if waiting for her afraid to miss the moment she appears but she never showed up.
The carriage eventually crossed the border of villages coming into the forest road Astrid sighed in disappointment closing his eyes when their carriage was stopped abruptly making him fall face first on seat in front of him. A low growl sounded from outside 'Jinx? Did she get hit by the carriage accidentally!?' Astrid panicked and stumbled out of the carriage without thinking twice as his mother and brother called out from behind "Astrid!"
Astrid stumbled outside and witness a light brown wolf biting into the hand of coachman the blood soked his brown furr leaving grusome patches of red on the muddy furr Astrid almost vomited His mother and Indis also got down before he could run back inside "Don't come outside!" But it was too late the brown wolf noticed them and left the grimacing human alone growling at Astrid in a threatening manner.
Astrid "ohh shit!"
