"Mhm...HA!"
Corvin suddenly woke up. He tried to get up as soon as he opened his eyes.
Donk!
"Gah! What?!"
But he was slapped back into lying down. His head hit something soft under him, and his eyes were closed by a small hand.
"Huh?!"
"Not again, Corvin. At this point, I am starting to think it is deliberate, you know?"
"Huh? Amy? Hey, can you open my eyes?"
"Nope. Sleep for a little longer. You pushed yourself too hard."
"Hey, what about the bug? I need to fight it!"
"Don't worry. The caterpillar is asleep. You should rest for a while too."
"It is asleep?! Then I should kill it now!"
"Just lie down, you won't be able to break it's cocoon right now anyways."
"Huh? How can you know?"
"I will tell you after you sleep for a while."
"Let me go! I nee-"
Plop!
"Enough!"
"Ggh!"
After the sound of a bottle opening, Corvin's mouth was stuffed with a bottle. A liquid with a citrusy taste entered his mouth.
"I said sleep for longer, so you should sleep for longer."
Said Amy with a slightly annoyed voice. A pair of delicate fingers pinched Corvin's nose, forcing him to swallow the liquid shoved in his mouth to breath.
"What was that drink?!"
"Don't worry about it. Just sleep."
"Hey! Can I at least look at the cocoon before sleping?"
"Nope. I can't open your eyes."
"Why?!"
"You are currently lying on my lap, so I can demand this at least, can't I?"
"But I didn't want thi- Lap?..."
Corvin's face got redder after stopping in the middle of his sentence.
"You understood?"
"...I get it... Sorry for shouting... Huaam~"
"Rest for a bit now..."
Corvin felt a delicate hand run through his hair while he fell asleep.
*****
Corvin slowly opened his eyes as he moved his head. Someone covered his eyes before his eyes could adapt to the light.
"Pervert. Didn't I tell you, you can't look."
"Hey. Let me see! Why can't you just put me down and let me get up?"
"Because you pushed yourself too hard, so I put you to sleep. Well, you can get up now. You were asleep for about three hours."
"Right, thank you... THREE HOURS?!"
"Yes."
"What about the caterpillar?!"
"Don't worry about that one. We found strong allies. Look."
Amy removed her hand from Corvin's eyes, and forced him to look sideways. She pointed at two people Corvin didn't knew. A burly bald man and a petite but well endowed woman were arguing heatedly while holding their weapons.
The man was wearing a slightly blue metal armour, and he was holding a giant double edged sword with the same colour. He had a bronze coloured round shield on his back that was two hands wide. The shield had the figure of an opened eye in the middle of it.
The woman was holding two black daggers. She was short, shorter than everyone around here, but no one could mistake her for a child because of her body shape. She was wearing an outfit made out of dark grey fur. The outfit was designed to let her move freely and fast while giving protection.
"Brown skin... Ale-Ans? Who are they?"
"The ones who left the scars we were following on the walls."
"They are? Are they okay? It looked like they were figthing with something all the way over here."
Corvin asked as he watched Clair try to talk to the two warriors to stop them from arguing.
"That's probably not wrong... but they were probably fighting eachother..."
"What do you mean?"
The two warriors finally raised their weapons. Noah quickly ran and pulled Clair back. Then he started to play with his violin, and created a barrier between the two warriors. The two warriors started to attack eachother.
Corvin watched the two fight for just a minute with amazament.
"I couldn't see a single movement properly... How strong are they?"
"They said they achieved Rule Break about a month ago."
The two warriors stopped fighting, and they were both exhausted. After saying something to eachother, the two of them laid down immediately.
"What?!"
"I was surprised too. But they at least did achieve Rule Break. They can't use their unique magic for long because they are new to it, but they can."
"What can they do?"
"The man is named Kharon, and his natural talent is actually biological support."
"Huh? He uses biological magic?"
"Yes. I saw him use his magic to empower his muscles."
"When?"
"While you were asleep, we tried to break open the cocoon the caterpillar made. But the cocoon is nothing like the other silk it made. Even he couldn't open it."
"I see... Wait, what are their names?"
"His name is Kharon Il-Baseer."
"...What did you say?"
"His name is Kharon. His surname is Baseer. So when you add the Alea-Rin surname indicator, his full name becomes Kharon Il-Baseer."
"Alea-Rin language, huh?... Right, they are Ale-Ans, I can't speak it that well..."
"They were taught Ofetan at their school, so you can speak with them as well."
"Right, they did get an education, obviously. By the way, Amy, do you know Alea-Rin?"
"Of course. I know three languages."
"I see... So, what is her name then?"
"Her name is Acherie Il-Kuth. She doesn't say what her job is, but it is obvious she is an assassin. I guess the tradition of keeping that kind of job a secret is still present in Aleankib."
"Well that's where they appeared first... Wait, if both of them are strong then how did they get caught by the caterpillar?"
"Ah~ They appearently fought like usual before it appeared and because they were exhausted, the bug caught them and constricted their necks to restrict their breathing."
"Ugh... That doesn't sound pleasant... Why are they fi-"
Swish! Swish!
"Huh? The cocoon moved!"
"Oh... Maybe it is getting ready to come back?"
"Oh! Will it become a butterfly?! What colour do you think it will be Corvin?"
"Light gray mixed with pink, probably..."
"Huh, why so bland?"
"It is a cocoon, you know. Moths come out of cocoons, not butterflies."
"HUH?!"
"Well, I like moths more because they are more fluffy. And sometimes they look like they have a mane like a lion."
"Why do you like them?! They are moths!"
"So what?"
Fwhip! Thud!
The cocoon dropped down, and hit the ground. It split apart while creating a slightly sparkling cloud of tiny scales around it. Amidst the faint fog, a giant moth appeared.
"Ah~ It's wings are already ready for flight. Normally it would take some hours..."
The giant moth had a wingspan of about eight meters. It's body was three meters long, with a slightly orange-pink colour. It's wings had wavy patterns coloured white, pink and peach. The comb like antennae on it's head was coloured bright orange. It's six legs and body looked fluffy because of the setae that covered them.
A gust of wind blew away the faint fog created by the tiny scales that spread after the cocoon opened when the giant moth flapped it's wings and took off.
"It's colours are prettier than I thought..."
