Chapter 22 - Agreement(2)

The morning has come, Rozer is excited to start a new chapter of his life in this city as a student. Like other students, he now wears a black formal shirt, black formal pants for man and for female students will wear black type A knee-length skirt with monochrome stockings, black leather shoes;Especially for the knight class wearing cloth boots, and a robe. This is a regulation from the school that governs students' attire.

Students from different academies can be identified by the color of their robes:

- Basic Academy wears dark green robes.

- Intermediate Academy wears light blue robes.

- Vocational Academy wears white robes for knight classes, black robes for wizard classes, and red robes for general knowledge classes.

Shortly after, Tania hears running down the stairs, "Slow down, dear, you might fall if you rush. It's still too early to go to the academy," shouts Tania from the dining room.

Rozer approaches Zerenia and Tania, sitting at a table with them. Plenty of food has been served by the servants.

Unlike in the forest where meals depended on vegetables from a small garden in front of the house and side dishes from hunting, here there's a variety of prepared food on the table.

After finishing the meal, Zerenia says, "Rozer, I'll reiterate our agreement. From today, you'll live with your mother here for the next 6 years."

Rozer replies, "I understand, father."

"I believe—or rather, I'm sure—you'll graduate from the academy in less time than I've given. Use the remaining time wisely; you can do anything or go anywhere you want," says Zerenia with a serious tone.

"Thank you, father. I'll prove that my choice is not something to regret," comments Rozer.

Zerenia smiles, "Maintain your intent and spirit, Rozer."

"Alright," says Rozer.

Reflecting on today being his last day with his father in this house, Rozer says, "Father, teach me how to create a teleportation monument like the one we first used so I can easily return to this home."

Zerenia laughs, "I suspected this would happen. Of course, I'll teach you."

Rozer smiles broadly and follows his father to the house hall with Tania.

Behind his robe, Zerenia takes a small flat stone the size of a handgrip, square-shaped with ancient magic inscriptions. He says, "Write your real name on this stone; your mother and I have already written ours," handing the stone to Rozer.

After feeling the smooth stone and seeing the inscriptions of his parents' names on one side and home on the other, Rozer asks, "What kind of stone is this, father?"

"It's a stone shaped using magic," replies Zerenia.

"How do I write my name on this stone?" asks Rozer.

"Use your finger," instructs Zerenia.

Following his father's guidance, Rozer places his index finger on the empty surface and writes his name, leaving no ink trace. After finishing, the stone starts to glow green dramatically, following the path of his finger, and his name is engraved on the surface.

Rozer smiles in amazement, showing his success to his father.

Zerenia smiles, then pats Rozer's head and praises, "Smart child."

With magical power, Zerenia bends the floorboard up and says, "Place the stone inside."

After placing the stone inside, Zerenia returns the board to its original state, "Now you can come to this house using the teleportation magic circle. Is there anything else you'd like to ask?"

Rozer thinks for a moment, then asks, "Do I just need to write 'home' in the middle of the magic circle like when we came here, father?"

Zerenia strokes Rozer's head, "Smart child," he says. "If you write 'home,' and replacing this kingdom symbol with the Boszeven forest, you'll return to our home in the forest."

"I understand," says Rozer.

"Alright, I'll go home now," says Zerenia.

The servants come out of various rooms upon hearing Zerenia's words and line up behind him.

After drawing the teleportation circle on the floor with charcoal, Zerenia stretched her right hand low-forward and said, "Guide Rozer, Tania," he says.

In turn, Tania and Rozer place their foreheads on Zerenia's wrist. It's the highest form of respect.

Tania smiles and says, "It's my duty as a mother."

Looking at the servants, Zerenia says, "Take care of them."

"With pleasure. Stay healthy, and guard us from cursed demons, Lord Zerenia," says the servants politely while bowing.

"If I have time, I'll visit," says Rozer.

Zerenia looks at Rozer and smiles, "No need to force yourself, focus on your goal, Rozer," he says.

Everyone bows respectfully as Zerenia activates teleportation magic. Light spreads throughout the room and, in seconds, disappears along with Zerenia.

Finally, Rozer can enter the academy, but it's not as joyful as the academy that made him happy.

It's a more specific feeling that he's getting closer to the answers to the questions lingering in his heart, in that place of his schooling.

Guided by his mother, Rozer goes to the academy. On the way, Tania informs him about the city's knowledge, such as the use of some shops that can be visited and not like; bars, places of prostitution, gambling places, markets for food and clothing shopping, towers with bells for worship, hospitals, squares, parks, and more.

Tania also explains the layout of the Bajalekat kingdom, which is six days' walk from the Boszeven forest. This city is the center of the Bajalekat kingdom, located at the southwest corner of the Oosten continent, at the intersection of the Zwart, Feniks, and Oosten continents, surrounded by the Rood Sea to the west, the kingdoms of Baratana and Suwania to the south, Eenheid, the Bajalekat Gulf, and the Vigerend kingdom to the east, and the kingdoms of Aram, Yardena, and Toren to the north.

After handing Rozer over to the teacher's room with courtesy to Edele; Rozer's fourth-grade homeroom teacher at the basic academy, Tania advises Rozer, "Choose your friends and don't make trouble, Rozer," she says.

"I understand, Mother," says Rozer, placing his forehead on his mother's right wrist with respect.
