Chapter 26 - Celebrity Of Academy(3)

For the newly arrived knights stepping onto the field, they ran past the students practicing on the field towards the crowd where their injured friend lay. Upon arriving, they were shocked to see blood flowing beneath the body of a male student lying on the ground.

"Where's Aldert?" shouted someone kneeling, trying to cover the wound on the dying male student's abdomen with their hands.

"Why did this happen? Wasn't he just—" uttered a brown-haired male student.

"I can explain later, where's Aldert?" shouted the person from before.

"He didn't come," said the brown-haired male student.

"He could die! Why didn't you bring him?" urged another male student.

The brown-haired male student forcefully closed his eyes and clenched his teeth, afraid to admit that his words might no longer be trusted by the wizard students.

Espen, Poetica, Waify, were shocked by the reality that diverged from their expectations. Meanwhile, Rozer, trying to stay calm, slowly approached the injured student. The students made way for Rozer with respect, creating a path to their wounded friend.

Espen, fueled by anger, lifted the collar of the brown-haired male student until his body lifted. "Why are you lying again? Why didn't you say from the beginning that things were like this?" he scolded.

The brown-haired male student fell silent and averted his gaze. He didn't know what to say. If only he hadn't lied, perhaps this wouldn't have happened.

"Answer!" Espen yelled, then threw the brown-haired male student to the ground.

"I don't know anymore," he mumbled while supporting himself with his hands on the ground. Another student tried to help him stand and defend him, "He didn't know this would happen."

Poetica and Waify tried to intervene and calm Espen.

Rozer swiftly analyzed the situation, carefully assessing the wounds. Meanwhile, a hush fell over the field as everyone became aware of the escalating argument, causing the training activities around the field to gradually lose momentum. The once resonant clatter of wooden swords was replaced by the soft whispers of the wind, intensifying the uncomfortable and tense atmosphere.

As Rozer placed his right hand on the wound, he also infused magic into his hand. Mantras and prayers filled with hope were uttered, "In the name of the Almighty Preserver, heal this wound." he whispered softly.

In a matter of seconds, the spilled blood flowed back into the injured student's body. Employing magic, Rozer skillfully sealed the wound, leaving no evidence of blood or cuts. Subsequently, Rozer's right hand shifted to the left leg of the ailing student, where there were signs of bruising on the ankle, swelling, and a bluish tint to the skin in the sprained area. Rozer then proceeded to repeat the magical ritual.

Everyone was transfixed by the golden-green flow of magic coming from nature to the wound of the male student lying on the ground. They couldn't comment on this event.

"He will be fine, but because it's too late to heal, a lot of blood won't return. Tell him, when he regains consciousness, to increase his intake of meat and green vegetables, it will replenish his blood." Rozer said to the student next to him.

The student nodded, and Rozer smiled warmly before standing up.

"I've helped him." Rozer said to Espen.

"Not just destructive magic, you can also perform healing magic." Espen commented.

"Well." said Rozer.

"As expected from Rozer." Waify commented with a smile.

A red-haired student who had been observing the situation from the beginning approached Rozer from behind Espen, "The son of a great wizard and a student of a demon slayer, you came to the academy like a miracle, Rozer." he said while patting Rozer's shoulder.

Hearing the words of the red-haired male student, the surrounding students whispered to each other.

"Where have you been, Geeraard?" Espen inquired of the red-haired male student named Geeraard. Taller than Rozer and clad in the emblematic attire of the knight vocational academy, he was the one engaged in a sword fight with Rozer during the entrance test.

"I came after advising my junior, who caused that kid to get hurt." Geeraard explained.

"Explain in more detail." Espen said.

Geeraard explained, "I don't know the details of their issues, but they were practicing with iron swords, permitted by Roy, the senior overseeing. Then Viggo, the injured kid, lost after his leg was kicked and sprained. And Roy came to the wizard's practicing field for help."

"So why does he have a slashing wound on his stomach?"

"Viggo, who was upset, decided to retrieve his sword and try to stab his opponent, but his more skilled opponent retaliated, resulting in the slashing wound." Geeraard added.

Espen shook his head, "Not only a liar but also a careless senior. Oh dear." he said to Roy, the brown-haired guy who bowed his head feeling guilty.

"A liar?" Geeraard asked.

"Just ask him, I'm tired." Espen replied.

Geeraard furrowed his eyebrows and looked sharply at Roy, while Roy dared not make eye contact and kept his head down.

Geeraard's expression changed when he looked at Rozer, "But still, Rozer is the hero here." Geeraard said, changing the topic.

"I agree. If he hadn't accepted Roy's offer, that kid might not have been saved." Espen commented.

"It's decided, Rozer will join the knight extracurricular activities." Geeraard said.

Espen's face became serious, "Why is that?" she questioned.

"If he joins us, not only can he teach us self-defense techniques, but he can also save us if something like this happens." Geeraard commented.

"I can't agree with that. Rozer would be more suitable to join me with other wizard students, considering his father is Zerenia, the great wizard. Come, Rozer, let's go back." Espen said, then dragged Rozer's right hand and started to leave, but their steps stopped when Geeraard reached for Rozer's left hand and decided not to let him go so easily.

"I won't let you take Rozer by force." Geeraard said.

"Force? From the beginning, I invited Rozer to meet me after school." Espen said.

"How coincidental, I also invited him here." Geeraard said.

A tug-of-war with Rozer's hand ensued, Geeraard and Espen unwilling to yield to each other. Meanwhile, Rozer could only surrender with a wry smile.

"Rozer, where do you want to join?" Geeraard and Espen said together.

A conflict of gazes between Geeraard and Espen occurred.

Rozer couldn't comment because he didn't know which side to choose.

Poetica came to Rozer and pulled Rozer's shirt from the front, "Rozer is—" she mumbled.

Espen and Geeraard were surprised to see Poetica also trying to claim Rozer.

"Poetica?" Rozer said.

Actually, Poetica was embarrassed by her own actions and decided not to say anything.

"Actually, Poetica and I want to take Rozer somewhere else after this." Waify said, spreading a piece of paper in front of Espen.

"Wizard training field, knight training field, alchemy magic laboratory, library, blacksmith training room, entrance to the underground labyrinth." Espen listed, then let go of Rozer's hand.

Geeraard also released Rozer's hand and Laugh, "Besides us, they also take action. It was no surprise if they also wanted Rozer. " he said.

"Seems so."

"Alright, for today, I won't ask Rozer to join me."

"I'll do the same."

Poetica let go of her hand and felt relieved with her seniors' statements. Poetica felt comfortable when Rozer patted her head.

"Thank you, Poetica." Rozer said.

Poetica, feeling embarrassed, removed Rozer's hand from her head roughly, looking at Rozer with blushing cheeks.

"But if you want to go to all those places, it'll be too late to go home." Espen said.

"That's true, considering those places are quite far from here. The only nearby places are the blacksmith training room and the entrance to the underground labyrinth." Geeraard added.

"Is that so? Then let's go, Poetica, Waify." Rozer said, then left the crowd with Poetica and Waify. In the middle of the field, their steps stopped when Espen shouted, "Wait." she said, approaching them, "As a senior, I'll guide you." she added.

"I won't let you take junior's heart, Espen." Geeraard shouted as he followed them.

Before Geeraard left the crowd of knight students, he whispered to Roy, "Don't repeat the same mistake again, Roy."
