Arc looked up at Lua, his eyes gaining hope momentarily. "Find anything interesting?"
Lua shattered the hopes of Arc, and shook his head. "All three so-called investigators I went to turned out to be unskilled nobodies. I just went to the best, Alfred."
"Should have done that sooner." Arc commented.
Lua ignored his remark and retreated to his room. He opened the wooden door and entered his messy living quarters.
Clothes were spread across the floor, showing just how untidy Lua had become in the past few years. He had lost his lively charm. He sat down at his next and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper. It was none other than the symbols bestowed upon him.
Now looking at it, Lua felt a deep sense of fury for not recognizing the signs beforehand. The shoddily drawn monster with branch ears was none other than the one who massacred their entire team. Lua should have known just by looking at the other monsters in the dungeon.
