(Twelve years ago)
(Third person perspective)
(This'll be like a different story, it's jungkooks backstory but it'll also be quite long. So if you don't want to read it skip to chapter 56)
"Give it back its mine!" Taehyung yelled at Jungkook, small little baby Kookie had found a toy frog in the garden of the primary school, and little baby Taehyung had lost it, and thought that Jungkook took it.
Jungkook was confused and stared at him, still crouched down in the garden, "Which one...?" He asked softly, having his whole shirt full of rocks and some random toys he found in the garden.
He had just moved to this primary school and didn't have any friends or toys, and he's always just played with rocks so having a random stranger that looks a lot older then him tell him to 'give it back' was a bit confusing.
Taehyung still hadn't realized that Jungkook didn't steal his toy on purpose and grabbed it out of his hand and ran away and ratted on him to the teacher, and Jungkook was still too confused to understand and thought he did something wrong.
"I just wanted something to play with...." He mumbled to the teacher with his head down, thinking that he was in trouble for collecting the throw away toys and rocks and didn't even have the chance to tell her what really happened before he was punished.
For the rest of the day he kept sulking sad that he wasn't allowed to use toys in the playground, and kind of mad that an older kid was yelling and ratting on him, he found it immature and thought that since he was clearly younger then Taehyung that means that Taehyung was even more immature then he was.
And what made it worse was that Taehyung was being very petty about it, simply because he thought he was better since he was older, so he was constantly making faces and avoiding Jungkook.
And when the day was done Taehyung and Jungkook had walked to the front gate with everyone, and Jungkook was trying to get Taehyungs attention and tell him that he didn't know he wasn't allowed to play with the rocks and toys in the garden, but seeing Taehyung run to his mum and dad and jump up and down in excitement while he had to walk home alone, he immediately felt sad and completely gave up apologising, wanting to just go home and cry, after all he was still a little boy.
He walked for over an hour to get home, and the moment he walked threw the door the first thing he saw was his new older brother eating a bowl of porridge while sitting in front of the TV, immediately Jungkook got worried and ran to him.
"No Hyung! Dad's gonna hit you if you watch TV before doing your homework!" Jungkook said while grabbing the remote to turn it off, but Jimin stopped him, "Im already finished with it, your dad said it was fine."
Jungkook slowly let go, "You... Didn't walk home?.." he asked, going back to his usual low mumble, "No? The school is an hour away, it's dangerous to walk that distance alone." Jimin said, grabbing the remote and ignoring Jungkook not wanting trouble with him.
Jungkook looked down and slowly walked over to his bedroom, looking at Jimin's open door and staring at all the colourful toys and bedsheets and pillows, then at his which didn't even have a curtain up, just a makeshift plain white bedsheet over the railing.
He walked inside with tears in his eyes and closed the door, sitting down on the floor to start his homework.
After he was done he packed it back into his backpack and took out the rock he picked up on the way home and started playing with it, thinking about how lucky he was for finding such a big, beautiful rock to play with and no one could tell him no because it wasn't school property.
The next day he went into school and saw Jimin on the playground before his classes started, he excitedly ran to him but Jimin completely ignored him and walked the other way, Jungkook stopped and watched him as he left not realizing it was simply because the hell rang and Jimin had to get to class, he looked down and wished his new brother could just love him as much he loved Jimin, but it was futile.
Over the next few months Jungkook became more and more hated by everybody in his school, he was an outcast.
And the more he was treated like 'the bad kid' the more he became the bad kid, he was constantly picking fights with the other kids and always the one that's blamed, he thought since he was treated like a monster, why not become one?
One day he came home late once again and once again no one cared, he walked straight past his 'family' and to his bedroom, placing a new rock he had found in the box underneath his bed and sitting down to start his homework.
He looked up after hearing some commotion and saw his older brother running across the hall in tears, he quickly got worried and got up running after Jimin, he stopped by his door and froze seeing Jimin grabbing the necklace his mum had given him for his birthday, throwing it on the floor and taking a random heavy object and started to smash it onto the necklace.
Jungkook quickly came back to his senses and used his body to stop Jimin and push him out of the way, "What are doing?!" He yelled at Jimin as he pinned him to the floor by getting completing on top of him.
Jimin struggled for a bit but eventually gave up, though he was two years older then Jungkook they were still about the same size and Jungkook was way too heavy for him to push off so he just laid there crying.
"Mums gonna die Kookie! She's really sick!" He yelled threw tears, Jungkook almost completely ignored that statement and still just kept telling his brother off, "So you try to break her memory away before she's even gone!?"
Jimin froze and seemed to have realized what he had done, or tried to do if it wasn't for Jungkook. Jimin continued crying and hugged Jungkook tightly, "I'm too young to loose my mum! I don't want her to go, Kookie, I'm so scared!"
"How do you know she's gonna die?.." Jungkook asked while excepting all hugs to try and calm Jimin down, "The doctor said she has cancer, and that she'll only be with us for a few more months..!" Jimin slowly started to calm down luckily, and Jungkook took that opportunity to try and make him feel better.
He lifted himself up and grabbed Jimin by his shoulders, "Well, if that's true then you shouldn't waste your time crying, and you should show her how much she means to you and that you love her with everything you have. And hope that she stays with us for as long as possible!"
Right then jungkooks dad walked in wanting to scold at Jimin for being rude, watching as his son was pinning Jimin down completely on top of him he got an ungodly idea of what was going on even though they were both just children.
He grabbed Jungkook by his shoulders and slammed him into the wall, immediately starting to hit him and yell at him how he never wanted a son, nevermind a dirty alpha.
Jimin cried for him to stop not yet understanding what his step father had thought about the situation.
He pushed Jimin out of the way and continued beating his son until their mother came running in, noticing that Jimin had hit his head on the cabinet and was bleeding she lost her mind on the father. Chasing him out of the house and cursing at him to never come back and throwing some of his things to him, she was fine with a father disciplining his own child, but getting so aggressive that he was bleeding from all sides and he even hurt her own kid.
She quickly took care of jungkooks and Jimin's wounds and hugged Jungkook tightly, constantly apologizing to Jungkook for neglecting him for so long.
Jungkook gladly took the affection he doesn't remember ever receiving and finally started crying realizing that now he'll loose both his mum's before he even reaches the age of ten years old.
Jimin also seemed to have realized his mistakes and realized that Jungkook wasn't just 'the bad kid', he was also a human being that never received love or care or any kind of proper raising, so how could he expect Jungkook to behave when he's just a child being abused like that?
Jimin's mum swore to herself that she would make it better before she died, she swore that she would fix their relationship and become a real mum to him, after all, he never actually had one.
So she took them both to the hospital to make sure everything was Okey, she first wanted to make sure that neither of them would loose too much blood and immediately divorced her husband. Luckily he was so offended by her that he didn't fight and simply signed off custody of both the children and divorced her with a smile, to him he didn't have to take care of them anymore, and he knew that she'll come running back within months cause there's no way she could pay for the children's school, food, bills, and medical treatment as well.
But what he didn't know is that she had loaded parents willing to pay for everything and more, since she was their only daughter they wanted to spoil her as much as possible before she died.
And unfortunately only seven months she wanted one last visit from her children.
Hearing the loud peeping coming from the heart monitor and the doctor and nurses rushing in and shooing the two boys out they both already knew that was gonna be the last time they ever saw their mum alive.
Jimin looked over at Jungkook, not even having the strength to cry he just stared at the teary eyed boy holding his notebook, "She didn't look at the picture I drew..." Jungkook mumbled looking down at the ground clutching at his notebook close to his chest.
Jimin smiled and decided that he didn't deserve to loose his mum like this, he knew he couldn't do much but he still tried his best, "The fishy?..." He asked, Jungkook nodded while wiping his eyes, "I wanted to hang it on the wall for her.."
"She did see it... While you were looking at the cleaning lady, she scrolled threw your book... You were too busy obsessing over how the spray was purple that you didn't even realize." Jimin's voice was soft, but jungkooks was suddenly almost excited, "She did!" He exclaimed, it was an obvious lie, but Jimin still wanted him to feel a bit better so he nodded.
Jungkook suddenly fell onto the floor hiding his face in his arms and legs, Jimin could see him crying and bend down next to him while he listened to all the commotion coming from his mum's room. He slowly took off his necklace and made Jungkook look at him, "You saved me from destroying the only memory I have of her... I think you deserve that memory more then I do..." Jimin mumbled, trying to put the necklace over jungkooks neck.
Jungkook pushed his hand away though, wiping his face with the back of his hand, "No... I don't deserve it anymore then you do, I have enough memories of her." Jimin tried again to give it to him but again he was rejected, he looked down with slight teary eyes and luckily Jungkook noticed how important it was to share his mothers memory with the younger.
Jungkook suddenly grabbed Jimin's hand and exclaims, "I'm gonna marry you one day!" Jimin obviously was shocked at the sudden statement of marriage and simply stared at the younger stunned, "I'm gonna marry you, and take care of you! And when that happens, I'll except the necklace because then I'll be her real son too just like Hyung!"
Jimin smiled softly and thought he was just being a cute, silly little boy but nonetheless kept the necklace safe for 'when that day comes' and thought about what Jungkook said every time he looked at it.
