Chapter 13 - Chapter 12 - The strange Rahua

Damion POV

I managed to escape from that place after being stuck there for few days. Even with help from Cirus, I haven't been able to leave much the palace.

The lessons, the training have been taking a lot of my time.

At least I am getting taller, and stronger.

I finally have a day off, I am going to stroll through town before going to visit Cirus. He says he has news for me.

....

Is that Rahua sitting over there? I will say hel...

She is making some strange faces... She's very unaware of her surroundings.

I approach her but she doesn't seem to notice me, she looks like a crazy girl.

"You look strange when you do that face." She finally saw me.

"Look who is alive..." I tilt my head to the side, I am almost always lost when she says stuff like this.

"What are you up to... I mean what are you doing?" She asks me

"I could ask you the same thing. Since you've been sitting here for a while, making strange faces."

Does she not notice the faces that she does, she probably lack of self awareness. She slided to the side for me to sit down.

" Ohhh my god... That's Ceaser Hisenberg, he is here?? Why?? I didn't know he would be coming here."

Hmmm Ceaser?? How does she knows Ceaser?? Does she likes him? Is that why she looks so excited to see him?

"Where are you going I just sat down?

And also why would you know where Ceaser would be? How do you know him?" I ask.

" Well of course I know him, everybody knows the Marquess. He is a very important characte... person. " She keeps rumbling about things, I can't understand properly.

"Wait a minute is that Lady Bianca?? Oh they will meet sooner than it should be. Is not a time for an Event."

"Event?" There she goes again saying some strange things, what is she talking about. I feel like we are talking different languages sometimes.

Before I noticed she had ran off somewhere, just like that she left.

So she likes Ceaser. I couldn't help but to smile bitterly.

Sadly for her, Ceaser is a very cold man, he probably won't even be interested in her...

Who am I kidding ... He could feel some interest in her ... She's strange enough to manage to attract his interest.

I just ran after her, I don't want leave her to Ceaser.

After looking around, I see her squating

"What are you doing??"

"Damion??" She looked surprised to see me. "Wha... What are you doing here?? "

"You suddenly ran off. I thought something had happened."

"Ahaha no nothing happened... At least not yet... I mean I don't know if anything is going to happen or .." she suddenly grabs me and pulls me closer. What is she thinking, she is so unpredictable, I can't keep up with her.

"Shhhh." She put her finger on my lips I couldn't help but to turn my face away. Is she doing this on purpose??

I can't help but to blush, she is just to much. But to think she likes Ceaser, well I understand the Marquess is a bachelor, but I don't understand why every noble woman, keeps fighting for a flick of his attention.

Oh there she goes again making all those strange faces. I can't help but to sight.

"Are you feeling okay, you are turning red, and making strange faces."

"I'm fine!!!"

"..."

I can't understand she looks now even more excited to see the woman arrive.

She suddenly gets overexcited moving her arms around like .... Celebrating??

Ceaser fell in the lake because of that woman. Why is she excited?

What is going on in her head?

And yet again she is doing those faces, she is very strange.

But I am also here admiring her, what does that makes me?

She keeps watching Ceaser and that other woman interaction very excited, somehow that's different approach of what I was expecting for a woman to have about the man she is interested in.

I have seen jelousy, sabotage but never this level of excitement for a love rival.

If it was a noble Lady she would have had already gone there try to sabotage, or even make a scene.

I can't take my eyes off of her, she keeps catching me by surprise. I smile.

Later we were outside of the village, walking.

"OMG that was so amazing, I know you don't understand what I am saying right now, however bare with me, let me vent a little bit. Ahhhh so amazing." Most of the things made no sense to me but she looked so excited for some reason.

She kept talking and talking, most of it I couldn't understand, but she was smiling and looking so happy, couldn't help but to smile with her.

"You are so strange!" The words escaped my mouth while I was smiling.

With her hand on the hips she looked at me. I thought she was going to scold me for laughing at her.

However she just laughed with me and petted my head.

"You are growing tall, one day you might manage to surpass me." She laughed loudly.

"Don't make fun of me." I say grabbing her hand that was still petting my head.

"You are such a cute little boy." She grabs my cheeks with her free hand and squeezes.

Is this a real person?

I turned my head and caught her finger with my mouth, softly bitting them.

"Ahhh what are you doing???" I could see in her face that she was caught by surprise.

I laughed finally having caught her, in her own game.

"You little... Mischievous." She chased after me trying to hit me. We were both laughing and having fun.

We continued to play and laugh, enjoying each other's company. It was a carefree moment, a break from the seriousness and responsibilities that weighed upon me in the palace.

As we ran through the fields, she stumbled and fell, laughing uncontrollably. I hurried over to her side, concerned for her well-being.

"Are you alright?" I asked, extending a hand to help her up.

She took my hand with a grateful smile, but instead of getting up, she pulled me down beside her. We lay there in the grass, side by side, staring up at the clear blue sky.

"I needed this," she sighed, her voice filled with a mix of contentment and exhaustion. "Sometimes, I just need to escape from it all and find some peace, you know."

I nodded in understanding, realizing that we both sought solace and freedom in different ways.

In her case, it was through her eccentricities and unpredictable nature. And in mine, it was through the rare moments of levity and connection I found with her.

We lay there in companionable silence, the gentle breeze rustling the grass around us.

Neither of us felt the need to fill the silence with words. Sometimes, it's the unspoken moments that speak the loudest.

Eventually, we got up and continued our walk, the sun began to set, casting a warm, golden glow over the landscape.

It was a beautiful sight, but it paled in comparison to the beauty of her smile.

As I returned to the palace, I couldn't help but feel a sense of loss.

The day had been filled with laughter, her strange persona and a connection that I cherished.

But I knew that soon I would return to my role, my duties, and the constraints of my position.

But for now, in this fleeting moment, I held onto the memory of her laughter, her excitement, and the way she made me feel alive.

And I hoped that maybe, just maybe, I could find more moments like this in the future.

Moments where I could escape the confines of roles that restricted me and simply be next to her.
