Nazmi decided not to cut to the chase. No matter how she looked at it, it seemed like it would be disadvantageous. Instead, she decided to take her time and have fun. Revenge was best served cold; there was no reason to rush into it.
She hummed in thought. "What are some of your favorite books, Caelus?"
"That's a difficult q-question…" he started, closing his eyes while trying to think of an answer. "My favorite of all time would probably be the G-Gentleman Pirate. I like all m-mystery novels too."
"The Gentleman Pirate?" Nazmi asked, intrigued. "Aren't pirates… the opposite?"
Caelus gave her a wide and enthusiastic smile. "Yes! T-That's why the book is so g-good. It's about a p-pirate captain that doesn't kill or maim, and instead only steals f-from other pirates."
"That actually sounds like a fun read," she said, eyes wide with excitement.
