Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

Anna whines like a five-year-old boy—sticking around—racing her hair until it's no longer shaped. Anna's really frustrated. Looks like his brain's been completely damaged. But Anna's uncomfortable feelings kept her thinking about a man named Howl. She also feared that the creature that almost killed her at that time would return again.

Her face seemed to be reflecting all the weight in this world on both of those little shoulders.

"Senior! Listen to me. I'm telling you this because I respect you so much, but... Can you get some rest? I'll help you to talk to the captain so you can really rest." Suho said anxiously.

Anna can only breathe, because no one will believe her words.

"How's the investigation going? Is there something strange in there?" Anna asked.

"Nope, I won't answer any questions concerning the case. You've been removed from the team for this case. Senior, you better listen to the captain. He's really worried about you," Suho said trying to convince Anna.

Anna can only sigh at things she doesn't want to hear. This case is very important to him. Because she almost lost her life, Anna feels responsible for catching the perpetrator with her own hands.

Suho understands Anna's feelings right now. He knew Anna very well. Anna is a senior who has responsibility for all cases handled. Of course if she's suddenly expelled, it makes her very frustrating and unfair. That's why Suho respects Anna as a senior on the team.

"Senior. I know, I'm really looking forward to catching the perpetrator right now. But if you continue to put yourself at risk, how can you solve this case?" Suho said giving a question that left Anna speechless.

Suho feels sorry when he notices Anna's sad and disappointed look on her face, but Suho has to say such a painful thing in order to open Anna's mind.

"I know. Anyway, I saw with my own eyes the perpetrator who killed the woman. How can I sit still without doing anything," Anna said.

"You must hold him until the captain calms down. You have to be patient this time," Suho said.

In two seconds Suho's face realizes that he almost missed something from what Anna said, without thinking long Suho immediately asked her.

"Wait a minute! Did you really see the face of the perpetrator who killed the woman in Mount Jiri's hut?"

Anna nodded.

"Yeah. I saw it. And when you found me in front of the shack, I was actually somewhere else and I slept for almost 48 hours in that place. But you said I only slept for 26 hours and 30 minutes, right?" Anna said.

"What do you mean by that, I don't understand at all."

"I don't understand what's really happening either, that's all that's happening to me." Anna said.

"What kind of place do you see?" Suho asked.

"Like I can't say right now,"

"Why?"

"I have something to make sure of. If I see that guy later, I'll tell you again." Anna said.

"Man? Did you meet a man?" Suho asked, increasingly curious about Anna's riddle.

"You didn't believe what I said earlier. But now you're even curious …" Anna said in a seductive tone.

"Cih…!"

Suho was a little sulky to Anna who started having secrets from her.

"Buy me some juice …!" Anna said.

Suho replied with a flat face. "Okey, don't go anywhere!"

Anna continues to enjoy fried chicken very well. After a long story made her stomach hungry.

Suddenly there was the sound of the door sliding. Someone walked inside without Anna noticing, she was too busy with all her fears and stupid thoughts.

"Anna…"

The sound of Anna's silence immediately. Her face was down covered with hair. Anna slowly began to do her hair, worried that the one who visited her was the superior of the police. After feeling her hair neat, Anna showed her face—see the face of a beautiful woman standing before her with a bundle of flowers.

"Who are you?" Anna asked politely.

"Is your name really Anna?"

"Yes. I'm Anna. Are you an eyewitness? I'm sorry. I'm off duty, but if you want to give a statement please, I'll recording it." Anna said.

The woman smiled with glistening eyes.

"Can you see me?"

"Eh?!"

Suddenly Anna was speechless when she heard the phrase. Somehow the surrounding atmosphere turned cold. Anna saw some patients in the same room looking at her confusedly.

Anna's eyes began to tremble in fear, apparently she had made a mistake because of her carelessness. The woman wearing white and bloodstained clothes is not human.

"Are you okay? Why is your face pale?" asked a grandmother looking confused to see Anna talking to herself.

The grandmother was one of the patients treated in the same room as Anna.

"I'm okay." Anna replied, trying to stay calm.

Didn't want to make the atmosphere even more chaotic because of the arrival of an uninvited guest. Anna rushed to get out of her room. A skinny woman with a stab wound in her heart followed Anna from behind. No one saw her or felt her presence.

The sound of rubbing the wheel of the infusion pole was getting louder as Anna went through a quiet hallway. She deliberately took her to a lonely place so that she could speak easily. Anna stopped her move.

"Why did you come to see me? Have we met before?" Anna asked as she turned her body around—face to face with the spirit of the woman who followed her.

"It turns out you don't remember. I really didn't expect you to see me. I just wanted to stop by and say thank you. If you hadn't come that night, maybe that creepy creature had taken my heart. I also want to apologize to you because I am you became hurt," she said.

Anna was still silent trying to digest the words of the woman's spirit.

"Are you the woman in Jiri Mountain lodge? That woman? That woman is you?" guessed Anna.

"Yeah, it's me."

"Ahh… I'm sorry. I don't recognize you. I'm sorry I couldn't help you." Anna said feeling so sorry.

Anna put her head down several times in an apology for the tragedy that happened to that poor woman. If she and the team could quickly deal with that unnatural death case, maybe this woman wouldn't be a victim.

"It's okay. Maybe it's been my destiny in being food for that creature."

"Wait a minute. So the person who attacked you wasn't human?" Anna asked seriously.
