"It's going to be hard."
The phone line was cut.
Anna was still speechless with thoughts that were looking at every explanation of information obtained from Maru. Anna felt like remembering something about cyanide in a case that she had ever gotten. However, Anna had difficulty remembering it clearly.
This place is an urban area full of residents. On average, they have a job. Most of them work in an office so there can't be a worker as a fisherman. Or most likely, if the perpetrator is a person who works for a chemical company or owns a ship.
Anna was trying to find every piece of information stored in her mind for one answer. That way Anna can catch the perpetrator.
Anna was seen breathing all the way—she was so clear of the look on her exhausted face. The day seemed to be late and the drizzling rain did not stop. It was really upsetting not getting any information to catch the perpetrator who killed so many stray cats.
"It's just an ordinary case, but why can't I finish this case. Did I take it too lightly?" Anna asked herself, staring at the highway where the vehicle went by.
Anna just realized she was standing in front of a red light. Her body froze like something was ambushing her until it was hard to move. Anna's body began to tremble along with her rapid heart rhythm. Anna stood right in front of the greatest weakness of her life, a deep trauma that still haunted her.
A brief snapshot of the greatest past in sight—the more frightened Anna becomes. She began to have difficulty breathing, but no one cared or intended to help her because the crossing lights had changed color to green.
Everyone starts walking past the zebra cross in the rain, only Anna is still standing by the road. As time went on, the green light for pedestrians began to flicker. Anna didn't have the courage to pass the zebra cross.
"Mom, help me. …"
"You can do it, Anna."
"Mom?"
Her Mom's voice was clearly heard in her ear. The voice she longed for seemed to open up his long - buried courage deep down there. The sound continued to ring in her ears, making Anna slowly begin to open her eyes slowly.
"You can do it, Anna. Let's take a step!"
Anna's eyes both saw her mother standing across the crosswalk. It's impossible because you've been dead for a long time.
"Mom?"
The woman smiled at Anna, a smile that could build Anna's confidence, eliminating her greatest trauma to the painful past.
"Don't be afraid, I'm always with you, Anna."
Her body was still shaking, but her mother's voice calls made Anna slowly start to move her legs. One step at a time, start walking over the zebra cross line.
But one thing Anna didn't realize was that if the green light for pedestrians had changed color to red, it meant that no one could cross because the cars would go towards her.
The call of those who try to call Anna from across the street—they try to stop her from moving on any further. The passing cars give a horn to commemorate Anna who continues to run unconscious.
"Hey!! Don't cross over!
"Hey!! It's dangerous! Come back quickly!
They kept trying to tell Anna because Anna's car from the left kept going fast. Anna remained unaware of this until her steps were halfway through.
From a distance a high-speed truck drove without knowing where Anna was standing in the middle of the road. The speed of the truck accelerated until the driver became aware of Anna's whereabouts and tried to give a sign. The truck's horn sounded very loud, but it couldn't bring Anna's consciousness back.
TINT! TINT!!
"Hi!! Watch out for trucks!! Danger!!"
"There's a truck!! There's a truck!
That truck's getting closer every second. Only a few feet away that truck could hit Anna. Collisions won't be controlled until all of a sudden they stop. Howl's figure appears exactly the moment the truck almost hits Anna. His hand touched the front of the truck that immediately stopped.
Not only did the trucks stop but they all stopped and so did the rain. Howl is stopping time to protect Anna from an unavoidable collision.
"Howl?"
Anna looks at Howl with a blank look.
Howl's one hand holds Anna firmly—his face seems worried to see Anna's foolish actions that almost harm herself. Truly stopping time is a forbidden act even though it is a god.
Howl pushed the big truck a little to give Anna a space about a meter from where she stood—before she turned back the clock to walk.
The truck stopped as if the driver managed to stop the car to prevent a collision. All the people who were across the street seemed confused by what they saw a little differently.
"Thank God … The woman didn't get hit."
"Nearly."
The truck driver who was still shocked and confused because he didn't hit a pedestrian. It was obvious that she was actually trapping the woman, but she was standing with a man. He immediately got off the truck and approached Anna.
"You okay? Is anyone hurt?" asked the truck driver.
"I'm sorry, my friend is a little less fit. Forgive me …" Howl said.
"It's okay, the important thing is she's okay. That one was almost …" he said now he can breathe a sigh of relief.
"We'll excuse us."
Howl embraces Anna—walking through half the zebra cross until they arrive across the street. Everything's back to normal except Anna who's still stuck in her mind.
"What was that? Can you stop time?" Anna asked.
"HYA!! You're tired of living?! Why are you standing in the middle of the street like that?! What are you thinking!!"
Howl snapped at Anna, who could only fall limp with remorse.
"I saw my mom. She called me …" said Anna who then cried because of the weakness she had.
Howl did not want to yell at Anna, but he was so worried about her. What if he's late?
"Come on, let's get out of here." Howl asks Howl as he reaches out to Anna.
Anna tries to stop him from crying, wiping out all the tears and begins to extend her hand to Howl. Howl's hand feels so warm that it makes it feel like it's getting better. That really feels weird.
