Chapter 22 - Chapter 22

The wilderness is so dark. Anna ran in fear like something was chasing her from behind. Running barefoot, Anna's white clothes have turned brown after falling to the ground several times and returning to the ground to escape.

Horrible noises continued to be heard all the way Anna ran. Anna tried to scream for help so many times, but it all seemed like a waste. Fear of avoiding something that is not even seen until Anna is unconscious of what is in front of her until Anna falls on a ravine so deep and dark.

Her body is rising to the void of time. In the midst of an obscure situation Anna was unconscious for a moment a flash of light was shining towards her. Her ears heard faint sounds of baby cries mixed with laughter.

"Daughter of the bad luck!"

The sound of a woman's curse.

"Who will take care of it later! I don't want to die like her mother!"

"She's a big boy, she's 10 years old, he can live alone. She's your half-brother, after all."

"Taking care of my own family is still a bother, plus other people's children!"

The voice of a middle-aged man who sounds very irritated.

There was a squeak of a car tire that seemed to hit something very hard. The cries of many people were shocked after the sound. The cry of a child crying as if his world were ruined.

"Mom ...! Help me ... help Anna. I'm scared."

Anna whimpered in her heart. She has given up hee life and no longer cares about what will happen. Maybe death is a joy for her to be reunited with her mother.

"Anna … Anna …!"

Wrecked on a vast green plain. The woman's voice calling her name made Anna slowly open her eyes. The sky he saw today looked so different from the sky Anna used to see, the blue sky. But now the sky is turning orange mixed with purple. So many stars above the sky are like back in a time a million years ago.

"Anna …! Anna …! Anna …!"

The woman's voice was heard again calling her name. A familiar voice in his ear. Anna was convinced that it was her mother's.

"Mommy? Mom …!!"

Anna hastened to wake up from her position—running on both feet plainly on green grass while calling her mother with little hope of meeting her mother.

"Mom! Mom! I'm here? Where are you! Don't leave me! Please!"

The child whimpered, screaming along with crying like a newborn baby into the world. Running fearlessly, going through a steep, high hill in front of her, no matter if her legs have to be hurt. Anna wants to see her mother.

Anna fell again after her leg was covered with a stone. She was tired of running, unable to lift her head. Hee whole body hurts so much, she can only moan at her mother's name.

"Anna!!"

"Quickly get a doctor!"

Suho screamed in panic at the sight of Anna's weak heart rate, and the life monitor had been ringing.

"CODE BLUE! CODE BLUE!"

An activation system code for emergencies to call medical personnel when a patient has a cardiac arrest. Two guard doctors and three nurses immediately came to the hospital where Anna was. One of the doctors again examined Anna's heart rate with a stethoscope. His face was panicked because he didn't hear the heartbeat of his patient.

"CPR!!"

He yelled at his colleagues. This is a very emergency situation. One step of the wrong they do can take a person's life.

"1 .. 2 .. 3 .. 4 .. 5…"

One of the doctors kept trying to pump Anna's heart with both hands according to the second she said.

"Mommy?"

Anna tried her best to raise her head. Both eyes can only see the feet of someone standing before him.

"Anna … You have to wake up now!" said the woman whose face was covered with light.

The thin woman, dressed in all white clothes — tried to extend her hand to Anna.

Anna could not confirm if the woman holding out her hand was her long - dead mother. Her face was covered with light—there was only a sound so similar.

She reached up and said, "Who are you?"

"I …? I don't know who I am. However, you must leave immediately. You have to come back because this isn't your place …"

The mysterious woman holding Anna's hand tightly—draws her slowly until Anna can stand up straight.

They're facing each other. But Anna still couldn't recognize the woman.

"Can't I stay here? I want to see my mother."

Anna whined.

"It's not like you can't. But it's not your time. Your time is still running, don't give up."

The mysterious woman seems to want to say that right now is not the time to really leave the world because she still has a task to complete.

Anna was silent with doubts about her life and death. Her longing for her mother was so great that Anna was ready to die anytime. But her body seemed to draw her to realize that it wasn't time to see Mom.

Suddenly she came back to grab Anna's hand and say, "Come with me!"

"Doctor! Heart rate's back!" cried the nurse who checked the vitals monitor.

The doctor began to stop the movement of his hands and ate a stethoscope to check the heart rate.

"I'll check the heart rate!"

Doctor Lee drew the stethoscope's head closer to Anna's chest and tried to listen to whether there would be a throbbing of her heart. Doctor Lee seemed to be breathing a sigh of relief as Anna's heart rate was beating again.

"Then, how are she vitals?" asked Doctor Lee.

"Blood pressure and oxygen are starting to get back to normal, Doctor."

"All right. Keep your eyes on him, you've worked hard." said Doctor Lee, who looked exhausted—his breath was gasping after pumping the heart of a patient who was near death. He walked away from the ICU room, trying to save a patient. He smiled satisfactorily.

Watching Doctor Lee emerge from behind the entrance to the ICU room. Suho and Steven rushed to her with their faces so frantic.

"Doctor Lee, how is Anna?" Suho asked.

"Now the patient is fine. However, we still have to monitor the patient's condition, so the patient still cannot be visited."

"Thank God if she's okay. Thank you, Doctor Lee." Suho said.

"Yes. Excuse me." said Doctor Lee, who then walked away.
