After Lina another contestant came, even though he was not strong as Lina he looked quite confident.
I am sure he is thinking he has gotten a lot of advantage as gible is hurt from the last fight and if he can get one or two critical hits he can win this.
But to his surprise the gible started taking healing elixers and got to its top condition seeing this the competitors face changed from happy to ugly real quick and the rest we all know he got eliminated in two moves.
And now almost 75 percent competitors have been eliminated and then came Meson's name
"Hope you have chosen your pokemon which can defeat that gible"
I asked him with sarcastic smile like telling him
From next time don't give such answers to me
"Haha.. yes"
With awkward smile he went in the stadium.
"Ok Piplup let's do this"

And Piplup went in the stadium
"Pipi.. Lup!! "
"Ok Pipluo use bubble beam"
With piplup using bubble beam on large area it became difficult for gible to approach the piplup without getting hit
So he wants to stay away from gible.
But same as before gible ignoring the damage just went through it and as it's speed slow down because of the attacks Meson used another attack quickly as it can be a sure hit
"Now piplup use full power ice beam!! "
And it worked as expected hitting gible directly, gible also got surprised he didn't thought an ice attack will come but to his bad luck again gible went into frozen state
What ice beam? So that was Meson's Trump card
Lucan was also surprised by this
"When did that Piplup learn ice beam, do Piplups learn ice beam? "
"Yes I heard even Grand masters Empoleon can use some ice moves"
"But it's just Piplup!! "
Well that's really surprising and also Meson used it well going all out on the first attack which he knew will be perfectly hit with the Trump card without hesitation.
And as Gible went to frozen state Meson without wasting time used next moves
"Now Piplip full power hydro pump"
How did he taught such strong moves in just a year
And with the hydro pump good damage was done to gible and not stopping there as gible was recovering from frozen state.
"Piplup use whirlpool and trap gible before the frozen is over"
And with that gible frees from frozen but gets trapped in the whirlpool.
"Now use bubble beam"
With the command Piplup enters the whirlpool and with quick speed while rotating around gible it uses bubble beam from all sides.
Gible while trying to defend himself couldn't find a escape and comes with his idea.
As his mouth again glows with bluish colour it uses dragon rage while rotating.
This causing collisions of bubble beam and dragon breath but to no surprise the dragon breath overwhelmed the bubble beam and started destroying the whirlpool.
Meson seeing this knew this would happen gible is just strong sighing to himself he gave the command
"Now Piplup end this with Aerial Ace!! "
As Piplup used arial ace, gible with dragon rush rushed towards piplup.
And as they both got close headon collision happened with a blast.
We could feel the shockwaves where I was sitting.
And after the dust settled the Piplup was fainted and gible still looked energetic and waiting for Piplup to wake up again.
So some aftermath of Dragon Rage and the headon collision of Dragon rush when piplup has advantage is enough to defeat the Piplup. I have decided to never go headon with the gible even if I will have advantage. Meson also knew this but he should have thought that even if he used the same tactics again he couldn't get away from gible again and he has shown enough Trump cards so he decide to complete it with headon collision.
Meson took back piplup in his pokeball.
"Good Job Piplup that was great battle now you can rest"
And Meson returned to the seat.
"Good fight.. That Piplup was strong, I will be looking forward to seeing it after it fully evolves into Empoleon"
Grandfather praised Meson with a smile.
Others also expected that Meson will do well in this fight but he fought beyond there expectations.
First and second brother also had ugly faces first Lina and now Meson were stealing highlights from them.
As Meson returned to his seat

"Yes you almost defeated it"

"No it was far from being defeated even though I got some good hits the moves were not powerful enough to damage it much"

Meson was correct gible has not shown his full limit yet.
And as we were talking next competitors name is announced
"Lucan"
"Oh Lucan you are next all the best for your fight"
"Ok"
With that Lucan also entered the stadium.
