I was so dumbfounded by Elliott's words. Real werewolf? What did he even mean?
"What do you mean, Elliott?"
He chuckled and scanned me from head to toe with his eyes.
"Oh, my dear. Do you think being a werewolf will instantly turn you into a perfect mate for Harvey? For our Alpha?"
He went silent for a beat before continuing his words.
"No, My Dear. Being a Luna meant you should carry the responsibility of protecting the pack. Like how a mother will keep her child safe. You should be ruling and protecting the pack side by side with Alpha. And you, clearly aren't enough to bear those duties."
I froze. I knew it. I would never fit in here no matter how hard I tried. But at least, I should be given one chance to prove my worth, right?
