Chapter 4 - The Cursed Young Miss

POV: General

A few minutes before the carriage sped past Arthur, a scene unlike what he could have imagined was taking place within.

Within the two horse drawn carriage three identical blonde haired men could be seen in silver armor pacing back and forth, with varying degrees of worry plastered across their faces. While a bit further away from them an older gentleman clearly unlike the three triplet twenty olds looked distinctly much older, almost in his late forties with grayish white hair and a mustache of the same color, yet unlike the presumed soldiers he looked more like a butler with his typical black suit; consisting of a jacket, tie, and trousers. He was currently next to a bed where a scarlet-haired, extremely pale thirteen year old girl could be seen breathing shallowly with wisps of purple and black smoke rising from each of her pours.

Guard 1: "Young Miss, you must hang on, we're almost there."

Guard 2: "How could they curse our young miss after all she's done for them."

Guard 3: "Those ungrateful swine."

Butler Albert: "All of you quiet down, it's like you three don't know the relationship between the young miss and Princess Yu has always been harmonious."

Guard 1: …

Guard 2: …

Guard 3: "Sir Albert, we know, it's just we're –."

Before he could finish, the door to the carriage opened and a seventeen year old blue haired red eyed teenager who should have been steering the carriage came running in shouting "Father, there's someone in the middle of the road."

"Is it an ambush?" Butler Albert said worriedly.

"No father, I can only sense one individual, but the problem is, it seems he's injured and unable to get up from the ground. If we leave like this, monsters from Gaia forest might smell his blood and ki–."

"... This, if we don't hurry our young miss's condition might worsen, but leaving the boy here to fend for himself when we could have helped is...'' As butler Albert said this he couldn't help but frown his top priority is his house's young miss, but leaving someone to die is something he wouldn't want to do during normal times. Afterwards, weighing the pros and cons, he gritted his teeth and was about to speak when

POV: Scarlet Ern Heartfilia

"St Stoo Stop the carriage *Cough* Uncle, the curse though sinister can not take my life. I would *Cough* *Inhale* *Exhale* rather suffer a few more minutes of pain than let someone die" I said while having difficulty breathing.

Despite the fact that I was cursed by a highly skilled mage, the curse would be unable to take my life, something which the Dark Mage was not privy to knowing why. Unfortunately, due to how rare and easily stolen such ability can be despite her status, only her closest family knew she possessed the Divine Eyes of Purification. Allowing her to stop the curse from spreading any further; however, even if she didn't possess such god-like abilities she still couldn't let someone die when she could have stopped it.

Guard 1: "But young miss your heal–."

I knew that, despite my "deteriorating health" everyone wanted to help that injured person. Everyone from the guards to my "uncle" are people I trust and are good natured. Therefore I couldn't help but interject him "Do as I say *Cough* *Cough*."

With my final verdict, Uncle Albert's son immediately went out the door to pull on the reigns and despite being cursed, I was still able to sense that the "injured person" to my astonishment vanishing underneath a portal and reappearing few meters away near the cutest white tiger cub I've ever seen, if not for the fact I was basically bedridden, I would have directly rushed out of the carriage to pick it up.
