"I'm sorry to inform you, but you have died."

"WHAT"

An old man with a head full of white hair and an equally white beard told me whilst bowing his head. 

So apparently, I'm dead, but I feel very much alive. I can still see, hear, smell, touch, and my mouth still tastes of last night's packet ramen. If that wasn't convincing enough, I was asleep before I found myself here… Aha I see, I'm dreaming. Hmm, if I'm not mistaken there is a name for this kind of dream.

"Lucid Dream" says "God", which I presume since we are seated on top of a literal cloud. 

But anyway, lucid dream, yep that's it…

So, how could I possibly be dead?

"But you are very much so dead and it is all my fault. I accidentally dropped lightning onto the wrong place. Therefore, leading to this unfortunate outcome. I truly cannot apologize enough for this." says God with an apologetic expression.

"So this isn't a dream?"

"Unfortunately, no"

"And it's not a lucid dream either?"

"I truly apologize for my blunder. This has never happened before, last night the God of Alcohol truly outdid himself with his newest creation. Cough Cough umm any way you don't have to worry, the reason I brought you here is because you are getting a second life."

"Wow, I don't know what to say… a second life, well I guess it's fine, right? If I'm going to come back to life then it's like I didn't even die. After all, I didn't feel any pain nor do I remember anything after I went to sleep."

"Well… there is a slight problem with bringing you back to life in your old world. It has been a few hours since you were found dead in your old world by your umm uncle?"

"I see"

"I can't help but notice, you seem quite calm despite hearing such bad news?"

To be honest it wasn't that I feel completely nothing after hearing news of my death. It's just the life I lived up to this point wasn't dull by any means nor was it especially colorful, it was an okay life. As you heard previously from God, my uncle found me dead, now you might think that this isn't relevant to anything, but well what if I say I live *Cough Cough* I lived with my uncle and aunt. My parents died quite early off in their lives when I was still 10, oh by the way, I'm currently 15. Luckily, my relatives took me in, they cared for me, loved me, and provided everything. I went to school in the morning, came home in the afternoon, ate, did my homework, and read light novels until I fell asleep everyday… I had friends, but they were more like "School friends" I talked with, ate lunch with, but I never once talked to them outside of school hours. That's why my life became quite dull and borderline boring except for the action packed adventure novels which I enjoyed reading. 

Anyway, back to my talk with God.

"If I were to be fairly honest, I was quite shaken when I first heard I died, but I guess life and death is a natural process to how the world works. So anyway, where will you send me to Heaven or to Hell?"

"Young man umm Arthur Pendragon, was it?"

"Yes" 

I wasn't surprised that God would know my name, after all he is God.

"Like I was saying before, due to your body already being found dead, I do not think it is wise to bring you back to life, otherwise I doubt you would be able to live a normal life in your old world. That being said, I can still grant you another life in another world."

"That makes sense, I would rather not be locked up in an underground lab and be subjected to unending tests." I said, understandingly.

"Sigh… young Arthur you are truly amazing although it is my fault, you haven't blamed me once. Therefore, please allow me to grant you one wish to make your new life easier and more enjoyable." 

It seems God is truly feeling bad for me, but a wish, I wasn't expecting that. I don't think I even want anything. A new life is more than I could ask for, but just as I was about to say that, I saw God's expression was a mixture of sadness and remorse with determination?

It seems I need to think of something… 

Being able to use magic? … That would be cool.

Godly Powers? … That would be too much responsibility.

A powerful bloodline? … Draconic bloodline would be… on a second thought that's overused.

Wealth? … No, I don't want to become like those arrogant second generation rich kids from fantasy novels.

A loving family? … That would be nice, I wonder if they would allow me to stay at home and read novels all day long?

A few hours later… or maybe an hour? The "sun" hasn't even moved… How does time even work here? Is it the same as my old world? 

"It has only been 30 minutes." 

"Sorry, I always wanted to say, WAIT you you, you can read my mind?" I couldn't help but stutter as I turned red at that notion.

"Yes, a klutz I may be, but I am still a God. Well anyway let's forget about such an irrelevant topic. As for your wish, peculiar it may be, you will receive it at the beginning of your journey. " God said with a cunning smile.

I wouldn't say knowing all my thoughts is irrelevant, but then again I was talking to God… wait did he say "A God" does that mean there are other such beings … Also, what is that smile about? …Whatever, let's not think too hard.

"Well then young Arthur, I think it's about time for you to start your journey in another world." said God with a mischievous smile as I started to feel an overwhelming desire to sleep.

However, I tried to fight off the desire to downright fall asleep since I haven't even thanked God for my new life, yet before I can even start to form coherent words I lost consciousness.
