Chapter 17 - Chaotic First Day at Academy (4)

Navigating through the bustling corridors of the academy, Raven led the way with enthusiasm; however, for poor Adam, it was like attempting to catch up with a whirlwind; noticing Adam's struggle, Raven changed his pace.

"So Adam, did you get into any fight?" Raven asked, looking at me curiously.

My palm got a bit sweaty, "Huh, A fight!? Why do you ask?" My heart raced, feeling a tension beneath his question.

"Your clothes, Adam, it gives a clear image!" he replied, with an odd expression.

I quickly assessed myself, seeing that my clothing was soiled, and messed up even had some visible signs of stains, dirt, and bloodstains as if I had been in a fight.

'Right, my appearance tells a different story,' I thought as I scanned myself.

"Haha!! It's just I was in a hurry today, you know, nervous all day for the first day, and slept late due to this I woke up late and to reach here in time I tripped myself in a hurry." I came up with an excuse as I fixed my clothing.

Raven gave me a strange look.

'I'm sorry, but I can't tell you the truth that I messed up' I apologized inwardly.

Raven sighed, "You know, you are weird, however, we don't have time for this, so hurry up! Let's rush."

As Raven picked up speed, I felt relieved that he didn't run too fast which allowed me to keep up with him.

The academy's corridors seemed to stretch endlessly, and the unfamiliar surroundings added to my growing sense of unease; However, I made sure to memorize every concern of the corridor for the future.

Soon, within a few minutes later, Raven pointed toward my left. "Thats A7!"

Raven glanced at his watch and exclaimed urgently, "Only two minutes! Sorry, I have to hurry up, Good luck, buddy."

"Thanks for the help. You've been surprisingly helpful", I admitted, acknowledging the bond forming between us.

"No worries!" replied Raven.

Something flashed in my mind. "Raven!" I shouted before he left as I extended my arm. "A fist bump!"

"Yes?" Raven gave me a dumbfounded look.

"Hit my fist with your fist; it's a gesture of friends."

Understanding what I meant, Raven got excited, as he got in the position to exchange the fist bumps.

Seeing him getting in the position I got to chill and I suddenly shouted "Hey! Hold on, Remember to hit lightly okay? it's just a fist bump," I sighed.

'Did he want to break my hand?'

"Okay!" he lightly hit my fist, and with that, I said, "Good luck, buddy; let's meet later!"

Raven smiled brightly as he clapped his hands "Sure! "Let's meet again later," he hurriedly said as he ran toward his 'A6' classroom, leaving Adam alone.

As Adam approached his classroom, he heard the chatter of voices blending, creating a lively atmosphere. Swallowing his saliva and with anticipation as he entered the bustling classroom.
