The classroom layout seems to be in a curve, and each table accommodates two students.
Adam turned around to search for a vacant seat, and soon he finally found one with another human boy who had black hair and an average build.
On his way to sit, he crossed paths with a similar face, Jack, his neighbor, and a bully, but thankfully, Jack was busy with his friend and didn't pay much attention.
The boy at the seat hesitated as he sensed Adam's approach but didn't say a single word.
"Hey!" Adam greeted him, but there was no reply. 'What?,so I am a virus now. Wait, what is a virus?' He paused, his broken memory interfering with his thoughts. 'Whatever!' as he gave up
Just as Adam settled into his seat, his stomach grumbled again. "For God's sake! I'm hungry!" he cursed under his breath, giving him another call of trouble.
"Well, this is my first class, so the best way to start a physical class is by physical training; let's go to the outdoor track for some physical testing," Professor Mortis announced.
Many of them were eager to impress the professor. However, someone who had held his stomach tightly, 'Physical!' felt like someone dropped a bomb on him.
Many students rose from their seats and got in formation to head outdoors. Adam cursed, 'fuck you! You crazy blood bastard' in a very low audible voice.
However, unknown to Adam, people with heightened senses easily heard his remark and paused at their spot they looked up toward the professor and saw him giving a smile for him it was a normal smile, but for others, it was like a devil smiling at his prey.
Adam noticed his seatmate's face, which was colorless, pale white. 'Did he see a ghost? It's just a physical exercise, no big deal' remark internally.
Reaching the outside track, which wasn't that far from our class, "Wow! This is amazing!" Adam muttered
The ground was well-maintained, the grass was trimmed, and there was a long circle-type track. Seeing this triggered fragments of old memories. "Ha!" 'This place is similar to once where I had been, but yet it is different. This one has a larger track, ground, and much more stuff, but why and where it remains a mystery As I thought about my newly recovered memory.
"The track is about 40 km long; you have to complete 3 laps," as he explained the test. "All you have to do is run, with the first finisher receiving a reward and others earning credits based on their positions. But here is the catch: you have to do it in 65 minutes, and if not, you will face plenty."
Students got excited and were filled with the fuel of competition when a silver-haired girl raised her hand.
"Yes, Selene?" The professor responds as he sees her question hand "What is the plenty?" asked Selene
"Haha, I'm glad you asked it; that is losing 10 credit points," he answered as he carefully read the faces of the students. Some turned white, a few got serious, and the rest had no problem. However, what was weird was Adam's reaction—he wasn't properly paying attention as he was lost in thought over the track.
"Ahem! Adam, you will run 5 laps." The professor increased the task. Adam was stunned and asked, "Wait, what? Why?"
Professor Mortis replied, "Because I am crazy." Staring into his crazy eye, I gulped, "Huh? But that doesn't even make any sense."
"It does, and your plenty will be 20 credits," replied Adam Plenty as he increased his credit. "Wait, why that?" I rebuked him as he cut me in the middle.
"25!" the professor declared with authority. Adam had no choice but to comply.
Expecting my defeat, 'Why me!' I shouted internally as I cursed him as much as I could.
"Okay, every lineup." Hearing Professor Mortis, every student lined up as he added more penalties for various circumstances.
To my shock, this track accommodated a formation of nearly 70+ participants.
"On my three, you all run. Remember, you have 65 minutes!" Professor Mortis started to count down.
"One...two....three...run!"
The race began, and many students displayed their varying speeds and strategies.
A few moments later
There was no massive shift in the race; only a few fast runners slowed down, and some maintained a steady pace.
Adam, however, was reaching his limits. Thanks to his recovered memory, he was able to recall the experiences that allowed him to employ running techniques and tricks which allowed him to run for 22 minutes however, what was more out of the box was his body, it continuously healed his stamina and made his body muscle to adapt to run faster
Furthermore, his heightened senses helped him to understand his surroundings and his body, helping him adjust faster.
After 10 minutes more
Professor Mortis pondered, 'Well, seeing them running will help me to guess their ability, such as their weight control, stamina, and many other things. As he continued to observe his students, he mused, "Uhmm, there is a lot of talent this year," as he tapped on his first watch to load the students' profiles. "Such a waste since many of them will die" with a pitying tone.
Soon the loading will be completed as they view them. "Jack, the werewolf got great fitness, but he has a dump brain, and the speed of Noir and Luna is great, but..." As he continued to judge others, "Ezekiel, Luke, Kai, and Senele—these four are incredible."
However, among all, he found one guy, and he could only help but be shocked. "He is still running, but how? His stamina should be depleted by now, and his form is excellent and to think he is improving at the same tim, to able heal his stamina what an amazing ability!" Professor Martis was genuinely surprised and couldn't help but memorize his name too.
However, just as he was about to judge other students, suddenly Adam collapsed.

.
'Shit' I held my stomach tightly, feeling undescribed hunger. 'Borborygmus' loud growl leaked from my stomach; however, others were focused on race, not paying attention to it.
After a few minutes my healing ability allowed me to endure the run, but suddenly my vision blurred and my stomach pain intensified.
Soon Adam's hunger caught up with him. He lost his balance, and due to this, he collapsed, unconscious, on the track.
