Chapter 15 - Competitor

Joanna regarded Liv and Arthur with a perplexed expression, her brows furrowing in curiosity before she voiced her question to Arthur, "What are you doing here?"

Responding with a friendly smile, Arthur explained, "I honestly didn't realize she was here. I just came to get a glass of water."

As Liv finished her water, releasing a shaky breath, she turned to Joanna with a polite smile, sharing a momentary awkward glance with Arthur. "Uh, Joanna, if it's alright, can we make our exit now?"

Acknowledging Liv's evident discomfort, Joanna readily agreed, "Of course. Follow me."

As Liv and Arthur exchanged glances, Joanna couldn't help but notice Liv's unease. Her intuitive understanding of Liv's awkwardness in the presence of her boss prompted Joanna to take the lead, guiding them out of the room.

"I guess might have made an error bringing you here, Liv," Joanna confessed with a pitiful gaze, expressing her regret.
