Since Leo refused to waste any more time trying to convince the people of the dorm that abandoning the town was their best option, he decided to wander through the campus that he once called home.
Memories of his 'first' life flashed through his mind as he passed by the library, cafeteria, and other large buildings where different lectures were held.
After wondering for fifteen minutes with no particular destination in mind, Leo found himself standing in front of the building that contained the lecture hall where he had found himself reincarnated.
With nothing else to do, Leo entered the building and headed towards the entrance to the lecture hall.
Opening the door, Leo had expected to find it empty and abandoned, but instead a group of older men were sitting in the chairs laughing cheerfully while they drank a cup of coffee.
They were acting as if nothing outside the lecture hall was actually happening, and it was just another day like any other.
When the men saw Leo standing at the entrance to the hall, one of the men stood up and confronted Leo, "Who are you?! You shouldn't be in here. Shoo shoo! Go away!"
Leo immediately recognized the man.
It was the professor who had been administering the exam when he had reincarnated.
"Professor Smith. It has been a while. I didn't think I'd ever see you again." Leo said.
Confused, Professor Smith clapped back, "Who are you? I don't think we've ever met before?"
"Ah, apologies. Sometimes I forget how much my appearance has changed. It's me, Leo Fisher." he responded.
Professor Smith paused for a second as if trying to recall whether or not he knew anyone by that name, but no matter how much he struggled, no one came to mind.
"I don't know anyone nor have I taught anyone by that name."
"How about if I say that I'm the one who interrupted your last class and left saying that you were all doomed?" Leo responded with a bit of annoyance and anger.
He had been in three different lectures taught by Professor Smith and the guy claimed that he never knew anyone by that name?!
As if a lightbulb had flipped on in his head, Professor Smith's eyes widened, "No way! That kid was scrawny, ugly, and honestly a sad excuse for a human..."
*Bang*
"Stupid fucker." Leo spat out as he placed his pistol back into his inventory and exited the lecture hall.
The rest of the men who were stunned by the sudden explosion of brain matter, skull fragments, and blood just a moment earlier suddenly started to scream and shriek like a bunch of little girls at the screening of a horror film.
Leo paid them no mind and left the area at a slow and steady pace.
Knowing full well that he had just let his temper get the better of him, Leo took a few deep breathes to calm himself down.
'Can't kill everyone that talks shit about you Leo.. Rellllaaxxxx.. think about something else.' Leo said as images of his time with Amber flashed through his mind.
'Noopppe!! That's going to make me a different kind of excited! Quick.. umm.. baseball, studying, video games, web novels, uhh... sonofabitch!!'
No matter how hard he tried to force his mind in a different direction, the images of Amber bent over in front of him remained front and center in his mind.
'Well.. their are worse things that could live rent free in the mind so... fuck it!' Leo said as he continued to walk, somewhat awkwardly, back towards the dorms.
Arriving back to the dorms in a good mood, with a smile on his face, and a slight bulge in his pants, Leo found Morgan, Dan, Lilly, and a small handful of other people standing around in a group.
"Leo! You're back! I thought you abandoned me! I promise I'll try not to talk so much! It might be hard but I swear I'll try!" Lilly yelled as he approached.
'Are you really trying though?' Leo thought as she ran towards him.
"Eh? Aren't you a little too excited from just walking around campus? Did you meet a hot girl or something? Maybe get a little sum-sum while you were out?" Lilly quarried when she looked at Leo's crotch.
With a karate chop, Leo said in complete embarrassment, "That's enough out of you. Shut it!"
Of course, that didn't stop Lilly and she kept badgering him about this, that, and the other.
The rest of the group were watching as the duo kept going back and forth like they were the stars of some comedy show and couldn't help but laugh.
Leo so desperately wanted to run away but alas he had made a promise and he intended to keep it so he would have to bear with the nuisance for a while yet.
"Is this everyone? Can we leave now?" he asked, not really caring what the answer would be.
He was leaving immediately whether they were ready or not.
Morgan, still looking a little downcast replied, "It is. Everyone else thinks it's safer to stay here. I tried to convince them to come along, but they ultimately refused.
These guys behind me are my friends from school, and they know Robin as well, so it was easier to convince them to come along.
Obviously, you've met the energizer bunny over there, Lilly.
And then there is Mark, Ian, Amanda, Rachel, and Brittney."
The five introduced gave a cursory, "Hello." and Leo returned it in kind before turning and starting to walk away.
"Let's go. It's going to get dark in a couple of hours and I don't want to get caught out in the middle of the desert." he said with his back turned towards the group.
Although the two men seemed dissatisfied with Leo's attitude, the women were too enraptured by Leo's good looks to care about his rude behavior.
The group of nine individuals made their way through the campus, out the gates, and into the town at a steady pace.
As the group made their way through town, there were a few people who approached them and begged for food or something to drink, but Leo turned them away with a glare.
Some of the group wanted to help the people, but Leo stopped them before they had the chance.
When they confronted Leo about his refusal to offer assistance, Leo just looked at Morgan and told her to take care of it.
Morgan did her best to explain why they shouldn't help unless they planned to follow through until the end, they still blamed Leo for being heartless.
Not that he cared one bit.
After walking for roughly an hour and a half, the group finally reached the edge of town.
Leo told the group to stay where they were and walked a few dozen feet ahead into a small clearing on the side of the road.
As the group watched on, 5 dirt bikes suddenly materialized out of thin air and were lined up neatly in the space.
"Does anyone know how to ride?"
Surprisingly, Dan, Ian, and Mark as well as Rachel and Brittney raised their hands.
'Well shit, thought we were going to have to waste time here learning how to ride these things. Thank the lord I won't have to suffer through that.' Leo thought to himself as he looked at the five with raised arms.
"Alright good. You five will ride the bikes and the more confident ones between you will take a passenger. Two of you will get to ride alone so make sure the least experienced are the ones without passengers." He instructed them.
"Wait.. if the five of them ride and then three of them take passengers, then that's only eight people? What about you, Leo?" Lilly asked inquisitively.
Leo just laughed in response, "I'm already faster than these bikes and I can run farther than these things can go on a full tank of gas so don't worry about me."
"Bullshit! How is that possible?!" Ian yelled.
"Let's get going and you'll soon find out." Leo said full of confidence.
