As the moon reached its zenith, casting an ethereal glow upon the forest clearing, I watched through my window as the wind blew through the trees, I watched as omegas scurried through each other with items on their hand to a place I assume the ceremony will be held later tonight.
I was informed by Liam to dress in all white and to wait for him in my room, I walked to the closet and rummaged around for something simple to wear. I found a white long sleeve shirt and white jeans, I finally decided to open my luggage and take out my brogue shoe, smiling triumphantly, I changed and got ready for the long night.
Checking myself out one last time before I exit my room, I put on my wrist watch and sprayed a little cologne so I don't smell like wet grass later tonight.
I walked out of the alpha quarters and found Liam talking to Mr gorgeous, or should I say Beta Anthon. I cleared my throat, immediately getting their attention, resisting the urge to jump on my best friend so I don't get slammed into the wall again was torture for me but I managed to pull through. Liam looked so beautiful in his all white outfit but Mr gorgeous was on another level of beauty. But I won't go into details cause he's my best friends mate, I respect that son of a gun even though he's my best pal.
"You look beautiful my lady." Liam teased.
"As do you, princess." I teased back.
"Don't call me that! You're going to give Anthon here some silly ideas." He lightly punched the shoulders of his mate and I did nothing but smile shyly.
Still pretty pissed about the fact that Anthon still never apologized, I acted like he wasn't there. We were about to head to the location of the ceremony when I smelt him. Immediately captivated by the obsessive smell, I unconsciously followed the lead of my little nose, smelling my way through every corner in search of my mate.
With Liam hot on my heels, I pushed my way through a small group and almost immediately someone threw what seemed to be a metal cup full of wine on me and I froze in shock. Oh hell no! My outfit is ruined.
"Are you blind? Can't you see? Are you trying to irritate me right now huh?"
Staring at the redhead who's presence was commanding and intimidating. Her eyes ablaze with a mixture of anger and defiance. I could see the fire within her, the passion that fueled her spirit. As the wine dripped from my clothes, I couldn't help but to feel a mixture of anger and frustration. And just then I smelt him again, but this time he was pretty close, like really close. Then I heard his voice, monotone and deep.
"What's going on here?" He asked no one in particular, I was about to speak when redhead over there beat me to it and when I said my jaw dropped!
"Baby....He shoved me!" She pointed at me.
Not being in the mood for whatever drama that was about to happen, I stared at my mate and caught him staring back. But it didn't last long as his attention turned to miss redhead.
"I never shoved you, but if an apology was what you wanted, instead of spilling that poor expensive wine on me, you could have cried for an apology like the crybaby that you are." I felt anger surge through my body and I saw red.
"Who the hell do you think you're talking to peasant. One more word from you and I'll make sure I break every bone in your pathetic weak body. You better watch your mouth when you talk to any of us here, if not for the fact that you're the alpha's guest, you would have been working with the omegas, you filthy animal." She snarled.
"I think you're forgetting who's the animal here doggy." I smiled sweetly.
"ENOUGH!" His voice laced with a level of authority that shut everyone up immediately. Then he stared at me. "Apologize."
My heartbeat dropped.
"Excuse me?" Feeling extremely anxious, I refused to look at anywhere but him.
"You heard me, apologize to Shiela NOW!"
"No."
"What did you say?" Anger evident in his voice, I could tell no one has ever told him no all his life.
"I will do no such thing. I didn't shove her, she spilled wine on me so if there's anyone who should apologize here, it's her and not me." Feeling tears build up in my eyes, I immediately pinched myself to do away with them. Not now please, not now.
Before I could say anything else, pain shot through my cheek and I stumbled a few steps back into Liam. Not being able to properly process what just happened, I slowly touched my now bursted lip and winced at the pain I felt. I stared back at him in shock and found Sheila all cuddled up in his arms, my heart completely shattered. Tears gathered in my eyes as I stared at the man that had just punched me in the face.
"You are banned from attending the ceremony for disrespecting your alpha. You will be recognized as an outcast, and until you are officially introduced into the pack as a pack member, you will be treated like an omega. Now get lost." Then he walked off with Sheila by his side.
Not knowing what to do or where to go, I stared at Liam and found him staring down at his hands with tears stain on his cheek. Not being able to hold in my tears anymore, I allowed them fall. And just like the coward that I am, I ran.
I ran back to the pack house and packed my bags before changing into something else and discarding the stained clothes. Not bothering to respond to any questions, I packed my laptop and school books and dragged my luggage out of the room. I got a lot of disgusting stares and side remarks but I ignored it all. I even had a few students throw things at me and laughed about it. After all, I've just been reduced to nothing by someone who was supposed to protect me, someone who was supposed to love me, tough luck.
Tears streamed down my eyes as I replayed everything that happened in my heart. Hate was all I felt right now, hate, shock, shame, sadness, I felt it all.
I finally got to the school and hurried up to my hostel. On getting in, I let out a sigh of relief but continue crying anyway. I hate it here, I hate everyone here, I hate myself for accepting the invitation in the first place. My heart hurts so much.
