Everyone was already seated before I got to work; just like I expected, there were only a few people at the meeting—about three shareholders and five employees.
"I'm so sorry for keeping you all waiting." I apologized sincerely and sat down in the chair.
No one answered, but they weren't frowning either, which means that my apology might have been accepted.
I cleared my throat, sensing the tension in the room. "Let's dive into today's agenda. First, we'll discuss the financial report for the last quarter. Mr. Alexander, could you please provide an overview?"
Alexander stood up, nodded, and began presenting the financial data on the screen.
I had done my research earlier and even watched videos on how to organize a board meeting. As much as they were willing to sacrifice what they could for the growth of the company, I also had to double my efforts to prove that I was worthy of the risk they were taking.
