"Uh, I'm sorry...Rick? Blind date?" Emily was still surprised to see the man before her.
He smiled and sat where Ana had just been sitting. "She set me up. I told her I'm not ready but she uh, she still set me up." He said.
Emily still didn't understand what was going on. "I'm sorry, I should go."
"Wait, Em. You need to listen to me." Rick said. Then he gave a sigh. "Ana knows I'm not ready yet, and still, she said it was you who would change my mind. I'm looking at you right now and...honestly, sorry but you're beautiful."
Emily rolled her eyes. "Sorry but I'm going to leave now."
"At least let's exchange contacts then? Meet at a much preferred time? I'm Rick--"
"I got that the last two hundred times--" then she paused. "Wait you're Rick? Author of fantasy books ...Mindset and um, The Waste?"
