"This way sirs!" Simone respectfully led Drew and Boss Jay into the beautiful administrative building.
The way he behaved respectfully piqued the interest of the other staffs. However after the saw the expensive cars at the entrance, they began to glare at Simone with envy.
Smiling widely, Simone led the duo to a waiting chair. He swiftly brought out two cans of Dr. Peppers, handing it respectfully to the duo.
"Let's discuss business" Drew said after taking a short sip.
He was anxious to spend money!
"Yes! Yes!" saying this, Simone swiftly sprinted towards the manager office.
After he left, Drew's phone suddenly rang. The caller was Amelia.
"Any updates?" Drew asked.
Two days ago, he gave her a task to start a large scale poultry farm. He wanted to know her progress.
"I have done a concise estimate. The budget is twenty five million" Amelia replied.
"Oh? didn't you say it was five million? how did it suddenly increase by so much?"
"That was just me giving a rough estimate. Plus many of the locals are extremely greedy, selling their land triple the normal market price. Plus i am going to create different types of housing since there would be meat birds and eggs bird. Labour, insurance and all other miscelleneous stuffs" Amelia quickly explained, afraid Drew would misunderstand her and think she was trying to scam him of his money.
"Alright. I will send the money for you" Drew replied.
"Huh? won't you negotiate? if you personally make an appearance, those greedy locals will lower their land prices" this was the reason why Amelia called.
"Let them be. Just take it as we running a charity"
After hanging up, Drew sent the money to Amelia.
But to his chargrin, he didn't recieve any deci points.
"Rollie! what's happening?" he swiftly contacted the system's A.I.
-[Be patient. You will recieve your deci points anytime from now] Rollie reassured.
Just after these words, Drew recieved a notification.
-[Ping! you have recieved 25,000 deci points]
-[POINTS]
-Deci Points: 50,000
At that moment, Simone returned. But this time, a slim man in oxford suit was besides him.
"Are these the clients?" Axel asked for confirmation.
"My name is Axel Beckham. I am the manager here" he extended his hand.
"Nice meeting you. I am Drew" Drew accepted the hand shake.
"I heard you wanted to buy some properties?"
"Yes. Though it's nothing major"
"I insist. Here is the estate catalogue containing vacant properties" Axel handed Drew a magazine.
Skimming through the magazine's contents, he made his choice.
"I want this one" he told Axel.
Seeing his choice Axel smiled.
"Mr. Drew sure has excellent taste. The Purple cloud manor costs 200 million. It is ranked third and was once the apartment of the state's govenor before he rose into office" Axel explained.
"Nice"
"Yes. Not only does it have seven bed rooms and a staff quarter, it is 30,000 sq. feets and has a huge garage, in house pool, gym, dance room.."
"It's amazing, i know. Can we proceed with the payment now?" Drew interrupted.
Axel smirked. He loved such straight forward customers.
"Are you paying via mortage or instalment?" he asked.
"None. I want to pay direct" Drew replied.
"Uh, don't be so hasty sir! Shouldn't you inspect the house to see if it suits your taste?" Simone advised.
"No need for that"
Sensing Drew's impatience, Axel proceeded with the payment procedures.
After signing some documents of ownership, Drew paid via finger print. After checking that the payment was done, Axel handed him the keys.
They shook hands before Drew and Boss Jay took their leave.
After watching them leave, Axel turned towards Simone.
"What do you think?"
"He's not a fake. But.." Simone couldn't help but recall Andre's jeering words at the entrance gate.
After explaining what transpired to Axel, the latter patted his shoulder.
"Who knows, he might be a young heir accumulating life experience. You can't judge those powerful families with common sense"
"Got it"
"Alright. Start processing a gold tier customer card"
Drew and Boss Jay arrived at Purple Cloud Manor after a five minutes drive. Drew had to admit that estates residential areas were definitely the best choice.
Not only was the asphalt smooth, the air was fresh and had a soothing feel. According to Boss Jay, it was the world energy.
World energy was what made Deviants strengthen themselves. Too bad Drew couldn't sense the world energy since he wasn't even a Deviant.
According to the system, he was a Node. As for what it meant, he had no idea.
Purple Cloud manor was majestic, at the same time antique. Drew felt like he was staring at an ancient castle. At the huge gate were two burly security men.
"Good day sirs!" the security men bowed when Drew and Boss Jay alighted.
Few minutes ago, they were informed that the new owner of the Purple Cloud manor would be dropping by.
Opening the gates, they watched as the two cars drove in.
"The new house owner is extremely young" one of the two security man shook his head.
He so much envied those young rich scions. They already had the world at the tip of their fingers at a young age.
While they at the bottom had to steadily work their way to the top.
"Just focus on your job" his partner advised.
Drew had to admit that the manor was much more beautiful up close. The huge lawn was cleanly trimmed. There were cactuses and some beautiful flowers which attracted beautiful butter flies.
The water fountains also created a dreamy fell in the atmosphere. Drew felt like he was in paradise.
The duo parked their car at the huge garage. At that moment, a bald head man at his late fifties respectfully approached them.
He sported a bow tie and tail coat. He was obviously a butler.
"I greet the young masters" he bowed respectfully.
"You are?"
"This humble one is Spencer Kendall. I am the butler and chief steward"
"Then i'll call you Butler Spencer from now on" Drew beamed.
Amelia stood before a vast field, observing as huge machines plowed and cleared. After recieving the money from Drew, she didn't dilly dally.
Swiftly buying the lands, she had some contractors clear and make them look conducive for the birds.
After that, she would head to the hatchery and purchase the little chicks.
Although she studied Business administration and management, her parents were peasants.
During her childhood, she would usually help out on the farm.
Suddenly, four trucks rode into the premises. Thuggish men spotting ski masks and guns began jumping down.
Loud gunshots followed them in their wake as the various construction workers scampered about.
"Nobody leaves!" a bare chested macho guy spotting a huge gold neck chain and red bandana roared.
He seemed to be the leader.
The gangsters swiftly fired shots into the air, scaring those who made to run.
Before Amelia could make sense of what was happening, two gangsters grabbed her, dragging her towards one of their trucks.
"Let me go!" she tried struggling but the two gangsters were stronger than her. The boss approached her, landing a tight slap on her cheeks.
"How dare you dupe Mr. Williams huh?"
