Chereads / The Decillionaire Heir / Chapter 32 - Chapter 032

Chapter 32 - Chapter 032

Amelia froze up when she heard the gangstar leader utter the name 'Williams'

"Y-You know Mr. Williams?!" she shrieked, terror-stricken.

"Hmph. He is my sister's husband. Why won't i know him?" Carl, the gangstar boss beamed with pride.

Mr. Williams was a local big shot serving as one of Red Mist Auction house veteran managers. Although he wasn't a billionaire, it wasn't far-stretched to call him a small time millionaire.

"That isn't the matter though. How dare you borrow money from Mr. Williams and refuse to pay huh?" Carl hollered.

Amelia's face went ashen. She knew this day was coming. Although she didn't borrow any money from Mr. Williams, she had recieved some 'small' gifts from him while he was pursuing her.

"How dare you infringe on my territory huh?!" a masculine voice roared.

Six yamaha bikes suddenly drove into the scene. The bikers all wore biker jackets and fingerless gloves, making them look like badasses straight from an action movie.

Carl snapped his head towards the direction of the new arrivals. He frowned with displeasure.

"And who might you be?"

The leader of the other gang burst into laughter when he heard Carl's words. He cocked his head towards his troop.

"You heard that boys! he dosen't even know who we are! hahaha"

Carl gritted his teeth. How dare these bastards mock him huh?

But he didn't lose himself. He wouldn't dare act until he knew who the enemies were and what sort of backing they had. Although he might seem like a macho brute on the outside, he was actually quite shrewd.

"Since you want to know, let me tell you.. we are the Bifrost Mercenaries. Scared now?"

"Huh? Bifrost Mercenaries? sorry but i've never heard of them!"

"You!!" the gangsters from Bifrost Mercenaries were stunned silly.

Wasn't this an obvious show of contempt.

Although they did not rank in the top three, they ranked in the top five. When locals saw them, they would usually treat them with veneration and fear.

When had they ever faced such kind of contempt before. It was as if this guy wasn't putting them in his eyes at all.

"You are not a local correct?" the Bifrost Mercenary leader glared coldly at Carl.

"So what? i'm just here to deal with some insects. How does that have to do with infringing on your territory?" Carl was completely unafraid.

Forget about his backing, he had absolute confidence in his strength.

"That's where the problem lies. I would've let you go if it was any other offense, but you just had to lay a finger on that lady over there!" the Bifrost Mercenary gang leader pointed at Amelia.

Carl felt something was amiss. Was this gang leader affilated with the target?

But according to the information he recieved, Amelia was just a standard manager in one of the Red Mist auction house branches. She rose to that position through hard work and persistence.

"May i know your name?"

"I am Luther. But don't better telling me yours, it would be useless anyways"

Carl just smiled in response.

"The way Mr. Luther speaks, it's as if the lady in question shares a deep relationship with you hm?"

"Uh.." Luther didn't know how to respond.

Know her? Hell! this was their first encounter. Just a day ago, he recieved a call from the number one gang in Straw berry village, instructing him to protect a particular lady named Amelia.

He didn't dare disobey. For those gangs at the top three, small time gangs like his own were just a slightly strong colony of ants that they could stomp to death at anytime!

"Since she isn't related to you in anyway, why do you keep poking your nose in my affair. Although i am not a local, i am not that easy to bully!" Carl's expression went frosty.

Luther snorted.

"What do you know? I am a man who cherishes women. How can i allow a thug to bully such a beautiful lady. It goes against my moral standards!" Luther spoke righteously.

"Looks like you are hell bent on offending me huh?"

Signalling his hands, two of his lackeys rushed out.

Unwilling to back down, Luther turned towards his subordinates.

"Teach them a lesson!"

And so, both sides erupted in a full brawl. Surprisingly, a huge majority of Carl's subordinates were at rank one.

Although Luther didn't have many rank one fighters on his side, they boasted of rich combat experience. Living in the streets and fending for themselves in a world where the rule of 'survival of the fittest' existed, their danger perception was beyond that of a peak human.

Although both sides were in a stalemate, Luther's boys began to take an advantage.

Before long, they had managed to incancipate two of Carl's boys.

Seeing that things were going south, Carl gave Amelia a threatening glare before joining the fray.

Arriving before one of Luther's boys, he smacked him so hard that multiple teeth flew out.

Grabbing another one, he slammed him on the ground before ruthlessly stomping on him, breaking some bones.

In the battle field, Carl was like a grim reaper.

Anybody who came across him either got smacked down or had a few bones broken.

"Aren't you a big bully?" Luther wouldn't allow his subordinates to keep on getting beaten like dogs.

Jumping into the fray, he threw a punch towards Carl's face. Sensing the immense threat, the latter tried cocking his head to the side.

However Luther's punch came just too fast.

Bam!

Carl staggered back a bit and spat out a mouthful of blood.

"You are really strong!"

"You are not bad yourself!"

Although Luther appeared calm, he was not inwardly. Only he knew the power packed in that punch, yet the enemy was able to survive it.

The two men stared at each other like wolves, waiting for the right moment to strike.

"Eagle claw!" Carl siezed the initiative.

Curling his fingers like a claw, he aimed towards Luther's throat.

His fingers seemed to emit a strange kind of sharpness, even greater than a butcher knife.

Luther stood rooted due to fright. What kind of strange stuff was this?!

He could only watch as Carl's strike landed. Like a knife passing through butter, Carl severed off a multitude of veins.

Everybody watched in shock as Luther slumped to the ground, his throat gushing out thick red liquid.

"H-how?" even at the door of death, Luther was oblivious to how he died.

"That was a martial skill i used. Eagle Claw" Carl seemed to have read his opponent's thoughts.

Luther's eyes flashed with enlightenment before they went listless. The whole environ went silent.

Drip! Drip!

The blood dripping from Carl's fingers made him look like a demon from hell.

He grinned coldly at Luther's men before ordering.

"Slaughter them!"

Under the pressure of Carl's gaze coupled with the death of their leader, those from the Bifrost mercenary gang lost the urge to fight.

Like chickens, they got slaughtered. Flesh and blood flowed like there was no stoqing it.

Amelia watched all this. Her legs trembling as her eyes teared up.

Although she was a Deviant, the slaughter currently playing out was just too much for a lady like her to take in.

Five minutes later, all of Luther's men were reduced to nothing but corpses.

Trampling on the corpses, Carl walked over to Amelia, a nasty grin on his lips.
