"Go back!" The man in the sunglasses roughly grabbed the boy's soft arm and yanked him back hard.
The little boy's face flushed red with pain. Even so, he didn't make a single sound.
When she saw the little boy's face wrinkling in pain, Jade Springfield's face instantly turned red with rage.
At this time, the boy suddenly began to fight.
Before the man in the sunglasses knew what was happening, the boy had already escaped from his clutches.
With his short legs, the boy walked up to Jade Springfield's side. As he hugged Jade Springfield's leg, he looked up and yelled, "Mom."
His pronunciation wasn't very precise, but it was clear enough. The boy called her "mommy".
Jade Springfield looked down at the new accessory dangling from her leg. Her frown softened a little at that sight, a rare occurrence for her.
If it weren't for that accident, her son would have grown to this age as well.
"Come back here! Otherwise, I'll make you wish that you were never born!" the man in the sunglasses roared at the boy.
At the same time, a group of people got out of the van. They all wore sunglasses.
Jade Springfield looked at the men in sunglasses; her face expressionless. She then looked up at the boy, and her bright eyes crinkled a little.
"Andy, didn't you say that this boy is mute?" asked the men who had just gotten out of the truck.
The man in the sunglasses was equally surprised by the fact that the boy had just spoken.
The youngest son of the Mo family was said to be a useless loser. At three years old, he could even walk. Even when he was four years old, he still couldn't speak.
"Do you know them?" Jade Springfield asked the boy.
The boy's face darkened. With her small hand, he pointed at the men in sunglasses. Talking seemed difficult enough. "B-bad man."
Jade Springfield knew it then.
"Come back here!" The man with the sunglasses didn't wait for the boy to approach him and extended his arm.
Before he could put his finger into a single strand of the boy's hair, his wrist was caught hard by two of Jade Springfield's fingers.
"Ah... Ah..." The man in the sunglasses cried out in pain.
Jade Springfield looked at the boy again. "You should back up some. I could accidentally hit you."
The boy nodded obediently and ran back a few steps before turning around to face Jade Springfield. Unlike her blank expression before her, her large, bright black eyes were shining now.
The other men wearing sunglasses watched the scene unfold. Two of them began attacking Jade Springfield while another tried to capture the child,
Jade Springfield saw this, and a cold glint flashed in her eyes.
She twisted the hand that she used to grasp the sunglasses man's wrist. Soon, she snapped with a "crack".
The man in the sunglasses knelt on the ground in pain. Then Jade Springfield jabbed her elbow into his back. That blow left him lying on the ground.
When she saw two other men in sunglasses running towards her, Jade Springfield tripped them with a blow from her leg. She didn't stop there. With a handful of the men's hair in each hand, she bumped her heads.
After she defeated the three men, Jade Springfield snapped back to see a man in sunglasses reaching for the boy.
Bending down, she picked up some rocks and tossed them at the man in the sunglasses.
A stone hit the leg of the man in sunglasses.
He lost his balance and fell into the fish pond.
He created a big splash, making a loud noise.
The boy looked at Jade Springfield with bright eyes, and they were filled to the brim with idolatry.
After the men in sunglasses hurriedly escaped, Jade Springfield walked over to the boy's side. She squatted down and asked, "Where is your family?"
The boy cocked his small head to the side to look at Jade Springfield for a few seconds. Then, he stretched out her short arms to wrap them around Jade Springfield's neck. He used her soft, sweet voice and said, "Mommy." As he called to her, he rubbed his small face lovingly against Jade Springfield's face.
As she held this soft bundle and listened to her sweet voice, Jade Springfield became a bit addicted.
