Chapter 15: Unveiling the Secrets of the Cave

As we flew together in the sky, the winds howled around us, and the sky stretched before us in an unfamiliar way. Our goal was clear, but the path ahead was still full of challenges.

Mia was by my side, and our movements seemed to harmonize as if we had learned to fly together for years.

Yet, I wasn't thinking about victory or combat; I was preoccupied with the tomb we were searching for: the Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, and the power we would gain from it.

But suddenly, something strange caught my attention on the horizon, something shimmering from a distance.

I looked closely and discovered it was a cave in the far mountains, hidden by the forest. It was a dark and mysterious place, but it seemed unique, almost as if it held something important.

It was a pivotal moment. On this journey, we wouldn't stop without a clear reason, but this cave strangely drew me in.

It matched the description I had read in the novel, particularly the chapter about the ancestors of the vampire bloodline.

If I wasn't mistaken, this cave might hold something profound in this world.

A place where we could rest for a while, or perhaps a place filled with secrets that could alter the course of events.

"Mia, be careful. There's something interesting over there. Let's go check it out," I said in a low voice as I headed toward the cave.

The cave was far off, but I was thinking to myself: Is this the cave mentioned in the novel? If so, it's a mysterious place, full of history that could have a significant impact on our lives.

In the novel, there was a vampire king, and he wasn't an ordinary person.

However, it was mentioned in the novel that he was initially an ordinary man until an opportunity changed his life.

He had been exiled 20 years before William was born, and then by accident, he entered an unknown place in the forest where he saw something shining from afar.

He went toward it, and when he entered the cave, which was glowing eerily in the forest's darkness, he gained the legacy of the vampire ancestors, becoming the first vampire king and founding a vampire bloodline.

In the novel, the vampire king was described as half-emperor.

This cave could be the key to understanding more deeply what is happening in this world.

We approached the cave quickly, and the cold air brushed our faces as we got closer to it.

Before we entered, I turned to Mia, who was still a bit hesitant. Her eyes were filled with worry.

"Is everything okay?" Mia asked, her voice tinged with concern.

"Yes, I'm fine. Just make sure you're ready," I replied as I advanced toward the dark entrance.

A few moments later, we entered the cave.

It was pitch black inside, but with our first step, a faint light began to glow from the walls.

There were strange drawings on the rocks, forming intricate patterns, and ancient symbols adorned the walls.

Everything in this place exuded unease and mystery.

The cave radiated a kind of power, as if every corner of it told an ancient story of battles and wars fought in long-forgotten times.

Inside, we found a massive room with murals on the walls, images depicting the beginning of a cosmic battle.

The murals told the story of five ancestors, ancient beings born from chaos and nothingness, each carrying unique abilities. The images showed them fighting for control over the universe, and these ancestors were: the ancestors of humans, ancestors of beasts, ancestors of dragons, ancestors of demons, and finally, ancestors of the phoenix.

These ancestors had once ruled the universe, but they were not united.

There were images showing the chaos that arose between them due to struggles for power, which led to a destructive battle that caused the collapse of the universe's balance, resulting in the disappearance of the chaos energy that had been their source of power.

"This place… it tells a history we've never heard of before," I said, my eyes wide as I gazed at the murals.

But that wasn't the end of the story.

The cave continued to narrate the ancient events.

After the chaos energy vanished, new, lesser energies emerged at first, but they were strong enough to offer a powerful alternative. There were energies like the Germanic energy, Chi energy, demonic energy, and spiritual energy.

Each of these energies carried new possibilities, showing how the creatures born from these energies adapted to them.

Then, the Tower of the Ancestors of Chaos appeared, a tower full of challenges and opportunities. The ancestors who remained loyal to chaos had built this tower to serve their own interests. But this tower wasn't just for them—it held opportunities for those who sought power.

This led to a battle between two sides. The first side consisted of creatures who wanted to be part of the tower and harness the chaos energy, while the second side was made up of the ancestors and their followers who had not rebelled against them.

The ancestors believed that only they and their followers had the right to enter the tower, while the other side believed that the tower belonged to all creatures, and they had the right to enter and benefit from the resources and legacies it contained, including engaging in the challenges it offered.

And so, the age of tyranny ended, ushering in the age of the broken.

In the end, during the age of the broken, the last true ancestor was killed.

As for the Tower of the Ancestors of Chaos, it began to roam between worlds, and the world it visited would open a door to new possibilities, ushering that world into a new and bright age of unlimited potential.

"This is the story that led to the Dark Age," Mia whispered.

A battle had broken out between those who wanted to control the tower and those who rebelled against chaos. In the end, the rebels triumphed, and the last true ancestor was eradicated. But the tower didn't cease to exist; it began to wander between different worlds, offering new opportunities to those who entered.

Finally, the murals touched on a strange prophecy referring to something greater, something beyond the struggle between the ancestors and the rebels. There was carved language speaking of the Black Snake's mind, which had hidden in the darkness after being defeated and imprisoned by the Eternal Sword.

The prophecy:

"When the Golden Age is raised, behind the glow of fate, in the language carved before the Golden Age, the Black Snake hides, after being brought down by the first Emperor Sword in the universe, the body of the Eternal Sword, Emperor of the Sword.

The Black Snake, which hid in the darkness, will awaken.

It will return once again and shroud the universe in eternal darkness, for it cannot abide by the words of the true emperor, and that is why it fell.

The walls between worlds will crumble, and time will cross boundaries.

The moment the Black Snake breathes, powers that cannot be resisted will be born.

Darkness will engulf the universe, and emptiness will rule the skies.

But in the heart of the chaos, there will be one who stands, to restore the balance lost since time immemorial.

He seeks to end all that came before us, to prevent anything we could become.

This is the path of the Snake's ancestor, the Emperor of the Snake, breaking through worlds, so do not try to make it what you are.

This is the prophecy of the King of Magical Creatures in the Broken Age."

"What does this mean exactly?" Mia said as she approached me, her voice filled with wonder and questioning.

"I don't know yet, but this cave holds something deep.

Perhaps this is the beginning of something greater than we can imagine."

I answered, my mind deeply focused on the murals.

I took a deep breath.

These discoveries were full of secrets not mentioned in the novel.

"I'm sure now that this cave is the site of the Vampire Ancestors' legacy mentioned in the novel.

It spoke to me in my mind as I sensed the magnitude of the discovery.

"Let's keep going, Mia. There's a lot to discover and much to accomplish. But for now, we must be cautious." I said as I prepared to delve deeper into the cave.

This place was the beginning of a change in the course of this world, and we were now at the heart of an adventure we didn't know would be this complex. But, as we had learned throughout the journey, there was no turning back now.

"Onward, brother," Mia said with a smile, her eyes filled with determination.

We had a long way ahead of us, but we were ready to move forward, despite all the secrets we had uncovered that could change the course of our destiny.

I wonder how, or to what extent, my actions might affect this world.
