Chapter 3 - The Man

Little kitten? Who does this idiot think he's talking too!

I narrowed my eyes at this strange man and turned my face away. I shook my head and let out a sigh.

In my side view I can see him getting a bit closer to me. The man snapped his fingers over the bar counter and the bartender came immediately. Who was this guy? The bartender had been ignoring everyone but suddenly came immedietly and poured the guy a glass with two shots of whiskey.

The man took it and set it before me.

"And what's this supposed to be?" I asked as I stared at the glass.

"Consider it a treat. Make sure to sip it slowly." he said, his voice was deep and low in tone.

I looked at his face quickly as I grabbed the glass in hand and brought it to my lips, the whiskey smelt sweet and slid across my tongue like water. But when swallowed released a sweet and strong burning taste in my throat and on my tastebuds.

"Sipping is for pussies who don't know how to drink." I said tapping the glass down and standing.

I'm not sure what it was about this man. I got butterflies in my stomach and an odd sense of danger. I backed away from the bar and pushed my way through the crowd of dancers.

There's no way. I didn't drink that much did I?

Maybe the alcohol? Perhaps it was just the lights and the added sound but.... My head.

I began to feel so dizzy and light headed.

Leon... Where did you go?

My vision is slowly beginning to blur on me. The door. Maybe some fresh air will help me. I looked to the right. Going through the crowd and taking another right would lead me down the stairs.

I moved with a speed walk down the stairs of the bar, it was a soft carpet covered in stains and small shards of glass. The bottom of the stairs led to a quiet open hallway. I held a hand to my forehead as I walked to the heavy metal door and shoved it open.

The fresh air was like a forced expansion to my lungs when I breathed it in. It was refreshing and definitely helped make my head feel better.

Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale. Where did Leon go...I didn't see him in the crowd...

I reached my hand into my bra and pulled out my phone tapping the screen with my thumb. I definitely had a lot of notifications but also had alot of messages. I took a quick second to read over them.

Nothing...

I let out a sigh and looked to my right down the road of the dark city. The hotel we booked was right down the road. There's no way he wouldve just left without me though, no way at all.

I took a moment to refresh myself with air and relieve myself a bit from my headache before heading back inside. The air outside was still and the city was quiet at this time. Only a few people could be seen walking in the streets and very minimal cars in this street.

I turned around and retraced my steps to reenter the bar, down the hallway, up the stairs and back inside where the music became loud again until I was once again was back into the dark world of the bar. Now that I have returned I need to find where Leon went and to do that I need to get to a spot where I can see everyone in the bar at once.

There were more steps to the left of the bar that went up to where the DJ was and had a better view of the entire place. I moved quickly up the stairs and made my way to the DJ booth.

I slowly turned my back and to the booth and began to scan the faces and outfits of the crowd below. Leon thankfully always dressed bizzare for such small places and it usually made him easy to find in the event of an emergency.

Starting at the bar in the far right I began to look at every face trying to find Leon.

I was just beginning to narrow down the numbers before a black chest was in my face.

I raised my head up and stared at the man. It was the guy from earlier and looking at his face again made my stomach tighten. I stared up at his face and he stared down on me. Those eyes of his were almost belittling.

"No woman has ever wandered from me. There's something different about you. I'm beginning to hold interest in you little kitten."

His voice made my stomach tighten harder as he bent down forward.

I couldn't tell if this man was serious in his attempt to hold my attention. I stared at his face and his features. He was indeed beautiful, with skin as pale as a Hollywood vampire, and eyes so blue they seemed white, it was terrifying. His hair was a thick and solid black, it was down to his shoulders and a bit curly. Gelled only on the top to hold it out of his face but the rest hung freely. He was tall I would estimate seven foot three. And with that odd black leather hoodie i couldn't tell how big he was.

"I'm an Ardensen." I said as I raised my chin up at him confidently.

Yeah that's right... Walk away...

"Oh?" he said as he raised an eyebrow. His eyebrows were a thick mysterious natural shape. With a thin tail and a silver piercing beneath his right brow. I couldn't even begin to guess his ethnicity. His face was of diamond shape and his jaw line was strong and firm. Perhaps he had muscles after all or perhaps he was small under that hoodie.

"Is that name supposed to mean anything to me?" he asked with a grin. His teeth were straight and beautiful, with large canines peeking through beyond his lips his bottom much fuller than his top.

I stared at his grin then peeked up his delicate nose and to his eyes. I had no idea what to say or do.

He doesn't know my family name? How? My father has negotiations and connections here.

"Aww you look disappointed." he said as he reached out his hand, his fingers long and thick grabbed my face and pulled me closer. I let out a shutter at this and stared at his eyes. His frightening eyes that stared at me with no warmth and no life at all.

"Come with me little kitten." he said in a whisper just loud enough to be heard over the music. I can feel his fingers grazing across my skin as he pulls me closer.

What else could I possibly choose to do. I can't find Leon anywhere and this man doesn't seem to be losing interest anytime soon. I'm hours away from home, one night with his man and I'll never see him again.

"Come with me. And for one night you will become mine, you can try to leave if you wish. But on this night you have no other place if not with me." he said sternly as his smile faded and he watched me with those cold eyes.
