Documents were placed on the table. Which Yhur flipped from page to page, it was frequently updated. "Why did I request?" He read the documents very thoroughly.
"I'd like to take lead in this case."
A certain case where multiple of civilians have been missing since a month ago. Those that were involved in the scene have reported that they were exploring a certain wooden house.
All of them have experienced the same thing such as amount of doors that required them to split. As well as seeing something that they refuse to believe, their clones. Some believed that it was just illusions that was resulted from shock.
The lack of escapees have then lead to a lack of evidence. Investigating would only be risky if they did not manage to escape as well.
"This case is rather important for my research, and so I would like to take lead to solve it." Yhur explained his purpose for the sudden request. Crossing his arms and sighed out loud, Riku said, "Your research? If that's so, then there's no way I'd let you take lead."
Silent and frozen for a couple seconds, Yhur nearly took his hot cup of coffee to thrown towards Riku. Only to be stopped by Mac's strength.
"I have already expected for a refusal yet I was not expecting it in such an immature way.." Yhur eagerly wanted to take out his spear and throw it. As well as Mac still using his hands to prevent Yhur from doing anything violent.
A clear sigh was let out, "First you bring Jun to such a dangerous world and now you're trying to butt in a case that's taking place 4 hours away for your fun and all nerdy research." Riku grabbed Jun's arm, signaling that he wouldn't allow their request.
It was a first for Jun, to see such a switch in personality from Riku. The usual playboy persona everyday seemed to be nothing but an act. Was it perhaps to hide the fact that he's a some sort of protector in another world?
If so, then it would explain why his personalities were different. If the students in their university were to witness this world, it would called illogical.
Jun escaped from Riku's grip and gazed towards his eyes, "I've chose to come here by myself, well, I might have forced Yhur and Mac to bring me along.." Riku was quite protective of Jun, it might be caused from past memories.
Hesitating, Riku still tried to convince Jun, "I just don't want you to get hurt!" His care about Jun exceeded his care for himself. It's quite concerning if you do ask, even to myself.
Once again, Jun mentioned all the dangers he have witnessed and was even taking part in. All he have managed to survive and even without a single scratch. Though it really was thanks to the help of the two veterans in front of them. "And you know..." Jun clenched his fist, "What am I supposed to do with the 57 medals I've won from tournaments now?"
"Ah." Riku became quiet.
...
"Fine.." Riku finally gave in.
A smirk that was derived from Yhur became even more clear. Showing satisfactory and thankfulness for Jun's very presence. Which Riku have obviously noticed, "But!" He continued.
"I will be following your every movement from stepping into where the case was taken place in!" Riku used an almost immature tone of voice. He seemed angry, Jun thought. "At least we finally got his permission!" Mac patted Yhur on his back, "It is only thanks to Sir Himura's passionate love to Jun." Drinking and finally finishing his coffee.
His voice was as clear as day, well technically not Euthyia's snowy day, which triggered Riku to immediately respond in reflex, "It's not like that!"
.
The rather short negotiation process was, obviously, short. Thanks to the concerning care the Vice Guard of Euthymia towards Jun, they were able to grasp what they wanted.
And so, just roughly an hour after the discussion, they have nearly arrived in where the case was taking place in. Outside of the city, yet close, in the windy snowy environment. Since it was out the city's gates, everything outside was simply just thick snow.
Perhaps the strong wind pushing the snow was able to cover their view. It was no problem as they have a 'local' with them who have already ventured out several times before Jun's arrival.
"Uwah, it's so cold!" Jun clutched his newly-given jacket. The wind was starting to get stronger the close they get. It was only expected, they're going up somewhere higher right insude the snowy forest anyways.
It was hard to think that the environment could be so different inside and outside of the city.
"That's why!" A louder voice reached Jun's ear.
